Alki David is a billionaire mogul and podcaster. He is also, apparently, not an anti-American globalist. That makes at least one. We must celebrate him and get his message out, despite knowing little else about the man. Perhaps more will follow and he can give us all more details about his bounty. We would love to hear from him.

The Mogul retweeted a story from ShockYa.com (a site that is affiliated with his FilmOn.com media site). Mr. David is upset about the state of America and The West due to governmental Covid overreach and election fraud. He admonishes us all to “WAKE UP AMERICA!”

To this end, he is offering a $1,000,000 bounty for any “irrefutable evidence that the Dominion Voting Systems and its employee Eric Coomer produced fraudulent votes during the 2020 election.” A cool million dollars isn’t quite enough to get you a dumpy house in Silicon Valley’s Bay Area that a Tech Mogul might have. However, it just might get you about 2000 Playstation 5s or a few hundred thousand rolls of toilet paper for the government’s coming Covid-pocalypse.

But, wait! There’s more!

According to the article, the tech and cannabis billionaire also “offered $1000 to anyone who went to their local hospital in a supposed COVID hotspot and filmed the ER and ICU admittance areas. He showed some of the winning entries on his Instagram Stories: Empty parking lots and waiting areas in Germany, the UK and America.”

PR Stunt or not, America appreciates and desperately needs honest, courageous displays of capitalism in defense of American freedom and society, and we hope this one is honest and legitimate.

We know that Dominion is one of the companies accused of massive fraud in numerous lawsuits around the country stemming from the 2020 election. But who is Eric Coomer?

Speculation is rife about the truck bomb explosion in front of the AT&T building in Nashville, Tennessee Christmas morning, leaving three people injured and millions without internet and cell phone service in several states.

I don't understand why AT&T internet and cell service was still working fine for many hours after the blast, and didn't go out until much later in the day (according to a friend who lives there).

House Votes to Override Trump’s Veto of 2021 Defense Policy Bill

The House voted late Monday to override President Donald Trump’s veto of a defense spending bill for 2021.

The override measure, passed by a 322-87 vote, is now headed to the Senate for consideration, where Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has indicated that his chamber would vote on Tuesday to override Trump’s veto. The override would need a two-thirds majority to succeed.

“In the event that the president has vetoed the bill, and the House has voted to override the veto, the Senate would have the opportunity to process a veto override at that time,” McConnell previously said on Dec. 22.

The bill, the 2021 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), outlines the national security policy for the Department of Defense in 2021 and authorizes $740 billion in spending. It passed the House on Dec. 8 by a vote of 335–78, and later passed the Senate on Dec. 11 by a vote of 84–13.

Trump vetoed the bill on Dec. 23, saying that it fails to remove Section 230 of the Communications and Decency Act, among other reasons. Section 230 provides blanket liability protections for social media and tech companies.

“Unfortunately, the Act fails to include critical national security measures, includes provisions that fail to respect our veterans and our military’s history, and contradicts efforts by my Administration to put America first in our national security and foreign policy actions,” the president said in a Dec. 23 statement. “It is a ‘gift’ to China and Russia.”

There’s no mention in the NDAA defense bill of Section 230 of the Communications and Decency Act, he noted. Trump said the 1996 law “must be repealed,” as it facilitates “the spread of foreign disinformation online,” making it a “serious threat to our national security and election integrity.”

Both Republicans and Democrats have called for Section 230 to be repealed. Conservatives have said it enables social media companies such as Twitter and Facebook to make discretionary choices in censoring dissenting views, while some progressives have said the law fails to take “hate speech” posted on those platforms into account.

Trump, in his statement, noted that the NDAA doesn’t support his ability to “withdraw troops from Afghanistan, Germany, and South Korea.”

“Not only is this bad policy, but it is unconstitutional. Article II of the Constitution makes the President the Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States and vests in him the executive power. Therefore, the decision regarding how many troops to deploy and where, including in Afghanistan, Germany, and South Korea, rests with him. The Congress may not arrogate this authority to itself directly or indirectly as purported spending restrictions.”

The House late on Monday also voted to increase COVID-19 relief direct payments from $600 to $2,000, a measure supported by the president.

Scoop: Trump administration declassifies unconfirmed intel on Chinese bounties

The Trump administration is declassifying as-yet uncorroborated intelligence, recently briefed to President Trump, that indicates China offered to pay non-state actors in Afghanistan to attack American soldiers, two senior administration officials tell Axios.

The big picture: The disclosure of this unconfirmed intelligence comes 21 days before the end of Trump's presidency, after he has vowed to ratchet up pressure on China, and months after news reports indicated that the Russians had secretly offered bounties for Taliban militants to kill U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

• The Chinese embassy in D.C. did not respond to a request for comment. Trump is not believed to have discussed the matter with President Xi Jinping.
  
• It was not immediately clear whether any members of Congress or President-elect Joe Biden have been briefed, though Biden now has access to the President's Daily Brief (PDB).

Behind the scenes: The intelligence was included in the president's briefing on Dec. 17, and Trump was verbally briefed on the matter by National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien, officials said.

• Administration officials across multiple agencies are currently working to corroborate the initial intelligence reports.
• Axios was not able to visually inspect any reports detailing the intelligence. A summary was described by phone by the officials.

Why it matters: If this intelligence were to be confirmed, it would represent a dramatic strategic shift for China, and sharply escalate tensions between China and the U.S. If the intelligence does not prove accurate, it raises questions about the motivations of the sources behind it as well as the decision to declassify it.

• China has long played a quiet diplomatic role in Afghanistan, inviting Afghan Taliban officials to Beijing to discuss plans for a peace deal and encouraging an Afghan-led solution, though Chinese-made weapons and financing have at times also flowed into the conflict there.
  
• It seems "incongruous" that China would take such a provocative action in Afghanistan, Andrew Small, a senior fellow at the German Marshall Fund who specializes in China-Afghanistan affairs, told Axios.
  
• Pursuing peace in Afghanistan is "one of the extremely rare areas where the US and China still have a willingness to work together on an area of importance," Small said. "They know the drawdown is taking place. We’re not in the context where anything else needs to happen to US troops in Afghanistan. There is no reason to create additional pressure on US forces."

Flashback: In June, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany lashed out at the New York Times for publishing "unverified" allegations about the Russian bounty intelligence.

She suggested "rogue intelligence officers" were undermining Trump and U.S. security. She also insisted Trump hadn't been briefed because the intelligence hadn't been fully verified.

Details:

• One senior official involved in the latest China discussions, who described the uncorroborated intelligence to Axios, said: "Like all first reports, we react with caution to initial reports" but "any intel reports relating to the safety of our forces we take very seriously."
  
• On Dec. 22, officials held a Policy Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting to discuss the matter, said a second senior official with direct knowledge of the internal discussions.
  
• The official said the PCC was focused on two objectives, consultation with the IC on attempts to verify initial reports, and consultation in the intelligence and defense communities around the force protection posture for remaining forces in Afghanistan.

Officials would not describe the source or sources of the intelligence or say when or over what period of time the activity occurred.

• One said: "The U.S. has evidence that the PRC [People's Republic of China] attempted to finance attacks on American servicemen by Afghan non-state actors by offering financial incentives or 'bounties'" and said the National Security Council "is coordinating a whole-of-government investigation."
  
• He would not say whether he was referring to the Taliban, or go beyond the descriptor of "non-state actors."
  
• The timing of the alleged bounty offer is unclear. The source would say only that this happened some time after late February when the U.S. struck its deal with the Taliban. He also noted there had not been an American combat death in Afghanistan since.
  
• He said the administration received earlier intelligence about "PRC weapons illicitly flowing into Afghanistan."

Between the lines:

• The British and U.S. governments have previously complained about Chinese-made weapons being used by the Taliban.
  
• The interest in Afghanistan stems in part from Beijing's desire to prevent Chinese Muslim separatist groups from using the country as a base.
• Afghan security officials recently discovered an alleged Chinese spy ring operating in the country apparently seeking to target Uighurs there, according to a Dec. 25 report from the Hindustan Times.

Don't forget:

• Trump received heavy criticism earlier this year when he admitted he had not addressed with Vladimir Putin the unconfirmed intelligence reports that Russia had been offering bribes to the Taliban to kill American soldiers.
  
• The commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, Gen. Frank McKenzie, said in September that "it just has not been proved to a level of certainty that satisfies me" that Russia offered these bounties. (This information was included in the President's Daily Brief earlier in the year, the New York Times first reported).
  
• "We continue to look for that evidence," McKenzie said of the reports on Russia. "I just haven't seen it yet. But … it's not a closed issue."

I think the heading pretty much tells the tale, "unconfirmed".

First there was "unconfirmed" intel that it was Russian bounties on the heads of US soldiers, now it's Chinese bounties. Next it'll be "unconfirmed" reports of Venezuelan bounties. Sigh...

Let's ask ourselves: Why in the world would the Taliban need financial incentives to kill US soldiers occupying their country in the first place? They don't want us there, they've already got all the incentive they need.

It makes no sense, except that this is how we get our succession of boogie men. May as well be straight from central casting at the CIA.

This video is SO incredible, i had to transcribe at least some of it, the stage is the Governors Ball, where Pompeo tells of receiving an invitation last year that said (quote) :

"The opportunity for Beneficial Economic Development Between China and our Individual States are Tremendous"

the invitation might sound like it had come from President Trump. But it was actually from a former governor. I was being invited to the U.S. China Collaboration Summit. It was an event Co-Hosted by the National Governor's Association and something called the "Chinese People Association for Friendship and Foreign Countries". Sounds pretty harmless. What the invitation did NOT say, is that the group is the public face for the Chinese Communist Party's Official Foreign Influence Agency. The United Front Work Department.

I was lucky, I was familiar with that organization from my time as Director for the CIA. But it got me to thinking, how many of you made the link between that group and Chinese Communist Party Officials? What if you made a new friend while you were at that event? What if your new friend asked you for introductions between politically connected and powerful people? What if your new friend offered to invest big money in your state perhaps in your pension? in industries sensitive to our national security?

These aren't hypotheticals. These scenarios are all too true and they impact American foreign policy significantly

Indeed last year a Chinese Government backed think tank in Beijing produced a report that assessed all 50 of America's governors and their attitude towards China. They labeled each one of you friendly, hard lined or ambiguous. I'll let you decide where you think you belong. Someone in China already has. Many of you, indeed in that report are referenced by name.

So here's the lesson. the lesson is the competition with China is not just a federal issue, that's why i wanted to be here today.

Its happening in your state with consequences for our foreign policy for the citizens that reside in your states and indeed, for each of you. and in fact, whether you're viewed by the CCP as friendly or hard lined? know that it's working you. know that it's working the team around you. Competition with China is happening inside of your state and it affects our capacity to perform America's vital national security functions.

I want to set the context today for this topic. At the end of the Cold war, America began to interact with China heavily, it made good sense we thought that the more we interacted, the more it would become like a liberal democracy, like us, here in the United States.

It didn't happen, and you all know this. Indeed under XiXI Ping, the country is moving in exactly the opposite direction, more repression, more unfair competition, more predatory economic practices, indeed a more oppressive military posture as well.

You should know this doesn't mean we can't do business with China i had an operation when i ran century international, we had a small office in Shanghai , we can find places to cooperate when our interests converge.

You can see that in the first part of the trade deal that President Trump got done, signed the last month. We're happy about that, it was the right thing to do. That was indeed a deal that that was indeed a deal that was good for both the United States and China. And these economic ties are powerful. They're important and they're good for your state and they're good for America. Look at the nearly 18 tons of medical supplies the United States just flew to China, just this past week to help fight the Coronavirus

Yesterday we announced more than one hundred million dollars in assistance to China and the countries that were affected by the virus. ....

... But while there are places where we can cooperate, we can't ignore China's actions and its strategic intentions, if we do we risk the important components to our relationship that benefit both countries

The Chinese government has been methodical in the way it has analyzed our system. Our very open system, one that we are deeply proud of its assessed our vulnerabilities and its decided to exploit our freedoms to gain advantage over us at the federal level, at the state level and at the local level.

last year i announced that i would give a series of speeches on China and this is part of that, its the context in which state and local government officials ought to think about in the way that they lead with respect to our relationship.

Its important. China matters. Its been a part of my mission, in the state department to mobilize all parts of the United States government.

I was out in Silicon Valley a couple of weeks ago to talk to America's leading tech companies about this very set of issues. And i need your help too. What China does in Topeka and Sacramento reverberates in Washington and Beijing and far beyond.

Competition with China is happening. Its happening in your state. In fact, i would be surprised if most of you in the audience had not been lobbied by the Chinese Communist Party directly. Chinese Communist Party friendship organizations like the one i referenced earlier are in Richmond, Minneapolis, Portland, Jupiter Florida and many other cities around the country.

But sometimes, China's activities aren't that quite that public and i want to talk about some of that today. Let me read you an excerpt of a letter from a Chinese diplomat who was China's Consulate General in New York, sent a letter last month to the Speaker of one of your state legislators. Here's what the letter said in part. It said quote

"As we all know Taiwan is part of China. Think about that you have a diplomat from China, assigned here to the United States, A representative of the Chinese Communist Party in the New York City, sending an official letter, urging that an American elected official shouldn't exercise his right to freedom of speech.

Let that sink in for just a minute. and this isn't a one of event, its happening all across the country. Chinese consulate in New York, in Illinois, in Texas, in Tulip California bound by the diplomatic responsibilities and right of the Vienna Convention are very politically active as is the embassy right here in Washington, D.C.

Maybe some of you have heard about the time when the Chinese Consulate paid the UC San Diego students to protest the Dali Lama. Or last August when a former governor, Phil Bryan of Mississippi received a letter from a diplomat in the Counsel's office in Houston, threatening to cancel a Chinese investment if the governor chose to travel to Taiwan. Phil went anyway.

Last year a High School, a high school in Chicago just invited a Taiwanese Representative to serve on a climate panel

it's one thing to pressure the Secretary of State United States of America. It seems quite something else to go after a high school principal. it shows depth. It shows systemization. it shows intent.

Chinese Communist Party official are cultivating with county school board members often through what are known as sister city programs. Look this Chinese competition is something you all know, it sits in the back of your mind but you have many duties and you are busy people. But this competition is well underway and while these might seem like to some, the cumulative effect is of enormous national importance and international significance.

Of course too, our public education systems, are another arena of competition with China. I know Governors you don't run these institutions on a day to day basis, but you often have impact on the people that do.

The FBI Director and i think the Attorney General too, talked yesterday about something called a Thousand Talent's plan. It's a plan to recruit scientists and professors to transfer the know how we have here, to China in exchange for enormous paydays. The program's probably targeted campuses in your state.

Indeed the Department of Justice has indicted professors in my home state, at the University of Kansas, at Virginia Tech and at Harvard. A Texas A & M investigation report that has more than one hundred academics participating in Chinese Talent Recruitment plans, only 5 of them had declared that they were participating in this program. And goodness knows what else we have not discovered.

There are indeed very critical reports of Chinese government officials pressuring Chinese students, students studying right here in the United States of America, to monitor fellow Chinese students, and to report back to Beijing. One very prominent pro democracy Chinese student at a college campus in the North East last year, received death threats, death threats for exercising his right to free speech. The FBI became involved.

Make no mistake about it, we want talented young Chinese students to come study in the United States of America. i see it in Wichita state universities are wonderful young people we ought to encourage them to be here. But they shouldn't have to fear the long arm of Beijing, which often reaches out via groups like the Chinese Students and Scholars Associations. That's just one that's just one of many campus groups directly influenced by the Chinese Communist Party and its representatives right here in the United States.

Many of you are familiar with the Confucius Institutes, Confucius Institutes purport to have the sole purpose of teaching Mandarin Language skills and Chinese culture.

A Bi-Partisan Committee found last year in 2019, that the Chinese Communist Party
controls nearly every aspect of the Confucius Institute's activities right here in the United States.

over the past few months, the university of Missouri, the university of Kansas, the university of Maryland have independently decided to close down their Confucius Institutes after conducting their own reviews, and schools in 22 other states have already done the same.

Sadly, China's propaganda campaign starts even earlier than college, China has targeted K 12 schools, through its Confucius classrooms, the CCP's programs to influence kids in elementary, middle and high schools around the world.

Do you know that we have no ability to establish similar programs in China? I'm sure that doesn't surprise you. President Trump has talked about reciprocity in trade. We should have reciprocity in ALL things. Today they have free reign in our system and we are completely shut out from theirs.

As of 2017 there were 519 of these classrooms in the United States. Beijing knows that today's kids are tomorrow's leaders. The China competition is happening. Its happening in your states, and its a competition that goes to the very basic freedoms that everyone of us values.

When it comes to doing business, I'm asking you to adopt a cautious mindset. In the words of President Reagan, when you're approached for an introduction? or a connection to a deal? trust but verify.

I know you all have power over pension funds and the people that run them. As of its latest public filing, the Florida retirement system has invested in a company that in turn has invested in surveillance gear that the Chinese Communist Party uses to track more than one million Muslim minorities. California's pension fund, the largest public pension fund in the country, is invested in companies that supply the people's liberation army that puts our that puts our soldiers, sailors and airmen and marines at risk.

And as is the case for many Chinese Companies too, their books are not wide open, so its difficult to know if the transaction that is being engaged in, is transparent and fair, and follows the rule of law.

Now all of these things may well be legal. But the question is but do they demonstrate good judgment? and preserve America's national security. I want to urge vigilance on the local level too.

In the district of Columbia, there have been concerns raised that the new metro cars manufactured by China could be vulnerable to cyber threats. So again, its worth trusting, but verifying. There are federal officials ready to help you to work your way through these challenges when they arise. Don't make separate individual deals in agreement with China that would undermine our national policy.

i know none of you would do so intentionally. Let us help you make sure we're getting it right. We're here to help. The Trump administration wants to help.

there are so many things we have already done. Last year we issued a letter to state governments that reaffirmed that Taiwan remains a business party and a friend in every other way.

We've strengthened the review process for Chinese companies that are investing in your states. We've revoked visas for so called research scholars who abused their privileges by teaching in Confucius classrooms and made sure that they departed the United States.

We've banned scientist from the Department of Energy which oversees America's 17 largest National including our nuclear research facility in New Mexico. We did so because they were participating in Chinese Talent Recruitment programs.

We've directed two Chinese propaganda outlets, the Chinese Global Television Network and Shin Wan News Agency, to register, as foreign agents.

And we at the State Department have started requiring Chinese Diplomats to comply with the same rules we comply with when we are in China. Chinese Diplomats now must notify the state department in advance of official meetings with State and local officials. They must declare their official business to U.S. Educational and Research Institutions as as well.

This is just fairness, reciprocity, basic common sense. This is not an onerous restriction to put on China. ....

Look i know its 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon, there's lots of good things we could do.

i hope you will all will take on board what I've said today. You all have important missions leading your states. These are complex difficult jobs. You have the task to create jobs and opportunities in your state and your people. Attract human capital investment that undergirds our prosperity. Its a tough job and you get curve balls every day from all across the place. But don't lose sight of the competition from china that's already present in your state. Let's all rise to the occasion and protect our security, our economy

indeed all that we hold dear, ALL of those freedoms. It's what leaders must do.

"PHONEIX — The Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich has filed a brief in support of Arizona legislature in the battle over whether the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors must comply with election-related subpoenas.

Earlier this month, the Maricopa Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 today defy the state lawmakers and resist complying with legislative subpoenas. Instead of allowing an audit, the board voted to file a lawsuit against lawmakers in state court, seeking to block the enforcement of the subpoenas.

The subpoenas were issued by Arizona lawmakers in response to claims that the election in Maricopa County was fraught with fraud. The lawmakers seek force county officials to allow an audit of the voting machines.

In the brief filed with the court, the Arizona AG asked the judge to enforce the subpoenas.

“The County’s position on the general scope of the Legislature’s subpoena power is, therefore, inconsistent with constitutional structure, governmental tradition and practice, the plain meaning of an Arizona statute, and binding Arizona Supreme Court case law” the AG’s brief reads.

In a tweet, AG Mark Brnovich wrote he believes state lawmakers have the “constitutional authority” to investigate how Maricopa County administered their election.

the invitation might sound like it had come from President Trump. But it was actually from a former governor. I was being invited to the U.S. China Collaboration Summit. It was an event Co-Hosted by the National Governor's Association and something called the "Chinese People Association for Friendship and Foreign Countries". Sounds pretty harmless. What the invitation did NOT say, is that the group is the public face for the Chinese Communist Party's Official Foreign Influence Agency. The United Front Work Department.

I was lucky, I was familiar with that organization from my time as Director for the CIA. But it got me to thinking, how many of you made the link between that group and Chinese Communist Party Officials? What if you made a new friend while you were at that event? What if your new friend asked you for introductions between politically connected and powerful people? What if your new friend offered to invest big money in your state perhaps in your pension? in industries sensitive to our national security?

These aren't hypotheticals. These scenarios are all too true and they impact American foreign policy significantly

The boot is very much on the other foot. This is what the CIA were doing in the sixties notably in France, and also in the USA. Let’s hope the US government is not just crying foul because this time it is on the receiving end. It has to eradicate this whole culture which was originally homegrown.

First there was "unconfirmed" intel that it was Russian bounties on the heads of US soldiers, now it's Chinese bounties. Next it'll be "unconfirmed" reports of Venezuelan bounties. Sigh...

Let's ask ourselves: Why in the world would the Taliban need financial incentives to kill US soldiers occupying their country in the first place? They don't want us there, they've already got all the incentive they need.

It makes no sense, except that this is how we get our succession of boogie men. May as well be straight from central casting at the CIA.

that's as really good point ... and to be honest, there was something else "off" about it

there is NO way that Pompeo is UNaware of the 2017 Chinese Intel Law that pretty much COMPELS ALL Chinese nationals TO 'gather intel"

no choice in the matter

the talk at first was astonishing that he addressed the issue

however, if this is our elected official in charge of maintaining National Security and he IS aware of the level of infiltration that HAS taken place?

he did NOT go NEARLY far enough, nor stern enough, nor really provide them with sufficient possible ramifications so as to cause them to STOP

The lawsuit focuses on Pence, who will oversee the upcoming Jan. 6 meeting of Congress to count states’ electoral votes and finalize President-elect Joe Biden’s victory over President Donald Trump, according to The Hill.

“The 2020 presidential election was one we’d expect to see in a banana republic, not the United States of America. In fact, the rampant fraud and unconstitutional actions that took place were so egregious that seven contested states– Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, New Mexico, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin all sent dueling slates of electors to Congress,” Gohmert said in a statement.

“This puts Vice President Mike Pence in a position where some argue he has to choose between morality and the law. That is not the case,” Gohmert continued.

he basically asserted no standing.


VP Pence:

Plaintiffs’ suit seeks to empower the Vice President to unilaterally and unreviewably decide objections to the validity of electoral votes, notwithstanding the Electoral Count Act. Plaintiffs are thus not sufficiently adverse to the legal interests of the Vice President to ground a case or controversy under Article III.


No standing.

VP Pence:

To the extent any of these particular plaintiffs have a judicially cognizable claim, it would be against the Senate and the House of Representatives.


Pretty much saying that it isn't HIS function or job

Thus, these plaintiffs have not adequately alleged redress for their specifically-asserted conjectural injuries.


Without making legal "standing" clear? it is the basis for this response

But this Court can and should resolve this motion under
the well settled requirement of true and not artificial adversity or the other threshold issues outlined above, particularly given the time constraints and expedited briefing necessitated by Plaintiffs’ recent filings.


His case for dismissal is procedural grounds; rather than the merits.
