so sad and unexpected news that Howard Liebengood, a U.S. Capitol Police Officer has been reported to have committed suicide

    confirmed by the police union

i really and truly hope that no one 'did' this to him to silence him

and i REALLY and truly hope that if/when we make it out of this

AMERICA and the WORLD learns its lesson and NEVER EVER allows things to grow so out of control again

it will take EVERYONE taking on the response-ability to ensure that public servants?

    SERVE the public

    it is called ACCOUNTABILITY

and that is OUR job to hold them to that

this was the officer ... sure seemed nice with the kids ...

may he rest in peace ...

    UPDATE

    a comment i just read;

    Quote
Only Patriots were harmed seriously at the attempted sit in at the Capital Building.

The police largely went to the hospital because of minor injuries that they got in the course of their normal duties.
Scuffing a knee, hurting their fist while hitting people incorrectly and so forth.

One officer stood in the wrong place and was crushed by a door as people were pushed through it.
Unfortunate, but not at attack of any form.

When these things are brought up, we need to overwhelmingly hit back with the truth!
Ten million times, without getting tired or bored with it.

    No more lies!
    well said i think ...

Quote Ex-Capitol Police Chief Says Pelosi, McConnell’s Sergeants-At-Arms Refused Security Measures While New Timeline Proves ‘Trump Incitement’ Claims Bogus.

    JANUARY 11, 2021RAHEEM KASSAM

The Washington Post has reported that the outgoing Capitol Police Chief, Steve Sund, believes his efforts to secure the premises were undermined by a lack of concern from House and Senate security officials who answer directly to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate leader Mitch McConnell. The National Pulse can also report the Washington Post’s timeline proves it was impossible for Trump speech attendees to have made it to the Capitol in time for the breach.

In addition to the fact that Trump openly called for the “cheering on” of Congressman, and “peaceful” protests, the timeline as established from numerous, establishment media reports simply doesn’t stack up.

The admission that House and Senate security leaders failed to provide Capitol Police with resources on the day will raise questions over their role in the day’s events.

    WaPo reported late Sunday night:

Two days before Congress was set to formalize President-elect Joe Biden’s victory, Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund was growing increasingly worried about the size of the pro-Trump crowds expected to stream into Washington in protest.

To be on the safe side, Sund asked House and Senate security officials for permission to request that the D.C. National Guard be placed on standby in case he needed quick backup.

But, Sund said Sunday, they turned him down.

In his first interview since pro-Trump rioters stormed the U.S. Capitol last week, Sund, who has since resigned his post, said his supervisors were reluctant to take formal steps to put the Guard on call even as police intelligence suggested that the crowd President Trump had invited to Washington to protest his defeat probably would be much larger than earlier demonstrations.

House Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving said he wasn’t comfortable with the “optics” of formally declaring an emergency ahead of the demonstration, Sund said. Meanwhile, Senate Sergeant at Arms Michael Stenger suggested that Sund should informally seek out his Guard contacts, asking them to “lean forward” and be on alert in case Capitol Police needed their help.

Irving could not be reached for comment. A cellphone number listed in his name has not accepted messages since Wednesday. Messages left at a residence he owns in Nevada were not immediately returned, and there was no answer Sunday evening at a Watergate apartment listed in his name. A neighbor said he had recently moved out.

Sund recalled a conference call with Pentagon officials and officials from the D.C. government. He said on the call: “I am making an urgent, urgent immediate request for National Guard assistance… I have got to get boots on the ground.”

But the request was apparently denied over optics.

“I don’t like the visual of the National Guard standing a police line with the Capitol in the background,” an Army official replied.

John Falcicchio, chief of staff for D.C. Mayor Muriel E. Bowser admitted: “Literally, this guy is on the phone, I mean, crying out for help. It’s burned in my memories.”

    The Dodgy Timeline.

nd while the Washington Post clumsily attempts to blame President Trump for the violence – despite the President calling for “peaceful” protests and the “cheering on” of Congressmen – their own article admits the “first wave of protesters arrived at the Capitol about 12:40pm.”

President Trump’s speech didn’t conclude until 1:11pm, and with at least a 45-minute walk between the two locations with crowd-related delays, that would put the first people from Trump’s speech at Capitol Hill no earlier than 1:56pm – a full hour and sixteen minutes after troublemakers arrived.

In fact, rioters who breached the perimeter would have had to leave before Trump’s speech even began (at 12pm precisely) to make it in time for the events as they are detailed by authorities.

The Washington Post also states: “Sund’s outer perimeter on the Capitol’s west side was breached within 15 minutes,” meaning the Capitol was breached over an hour before Trump speech attendees could have even begun to arrive.

This correlates with Sund’s interview, where he admits: “I realized at 1pm, things aren’t going well… I’m watching my people getting slammed.”

Again, 1pm would have been a full 56-minutes before any Trump speech-attendees could have begun arriving, let alone breaching the perimeter and clashing with police. Downtown Washington, D.C. roads were closed. There was no way of arriving faster, let alone before the President had finished speaking.

At 1:09pm, still before the President had finished speaking, Sund called the Sergeants-at-arms of the House and Senate. He told them it was time to call in the National Guard. He even said he wanted an emergency declaration. Both, however, said they would “run it up the chain” and get back to him.

At 1:50pm the Capitol itself was breached. Still before most Trump speech attendees could have arrived.

What happened after this point was a back and forth over hours between D.C. officials, Army officials, and Capitol police.

Eventually – at past 5pm – the National Guard arrived.

And while Sund is quoted in the Washington Post as blaming President Trump’s speech for the violence that ensued – the timeline means that makes no sense.

The President’s fans are not known for leaving his speeches 5 or 10 minutes in. And by the time the Capitol was breached, those who had stayed to listen to even the first 15 minutes would not have even made it there in time.

not sure what is up and Pompeo is not someone i've ever been able to get a DEFINITE "handle" on

and it isn't just his type A personality, which is such a serious flaw of character in most men (or women) who awkwardly and most undeservedly impose that type of self inflated arrogance upon the world ...

BUT he's had not just the position (that alone does NOT qualify as merit) but the EXPERIENCES that go with said position to back up and substantiate that confidence moving it into the realm of self assurance based on FACT

meaning he now has moved into BEING
    not "trying" or "becoming"
    but BEING

so he IS as he IS
and can BE no other way

    this is good

anything that is not BS is always good

but that doesn't answer the question of his ethics, moral compass or intentions. a man with authentic power is to be observed closely ... they generally do not entertain thoughts for long without moving directly into action towards manifesting them in actual reality

    and yesterday?

while the rest of us had our heads spinning with a drama that we allowed to slip from our control? what THIS man thought to do ... how THIS man thought to spend his time, energy AND focus?

    was a tweet storm

as though perhaps he had absolutely nothing better to do with his time
    nor another avenue for focus

    interesting

    men with authentic power
    are ALWAYS interesting to observe

    link here

rather like that "nod" to our President

and then he followed by this speech focusing on human rights

rights i hope this occasion of coming perilously close to losing?
might bring some of us to DETERMINATION

that this will NEVER be allowed to be a possibility again ...

    link here

and throughout the day just tweeting away about past achievements

this tweet had been, in fact, his 8th tweet every 30 mins

this is important because of what we have already noted of his character

men who DO have little time to reminisce

you know, particularly in the MIDDLE of the BIGGEST crisis to face our nation at the moment

and yet ... there was well over a dozen recounts of the past

    but interesting theme (singular)

Quote Fact: the biggest threat to
    @UN
integrity and international human rights is the CCP's efforts to pervert norms and co-opt these institutions. I took it seriously from Day 1, and we fought back

if tweet doesn't appear or play video can be seen here
    https://twitter.com/SecPompeo/status...76043750526977

and then talked about what happens when China takes over an agency like WHO

if tweet does not appear can be seen here:https://twitter.com/SecPompeo/status...06247139336195

there are over a dozen important points in his tweets and worth checking out

    here is a link:
    https://twitter.com/SecPompeo

    summary

the threat of China and human rights (which they have no respect for) is on his mind, this cannot give Pelosi peace of mind

i, on the other hand? found it rather comforting

I met Pompeo in 2016 when he attended a conference in Wichita. Before Trump appointed him, he was just known locally as a good guy, someone who would listen but someone with strong ideals. Not a pushover. I wonder if he'll come back to Kansas now.

What's happening at a national level right now is ridiculous, in my opinion. Pompeo, Cruz, and a few others are still set on launching a formal investigation into the election, and they should. There's so much anger, resentment, and disbelief right now that it threatens to up-end our Republic.

The Democrats are taking these last few days of Trump's term to shred Republicans and threaten them into silent submission. If Cruz gets a Special Counsel and a Special Prosecutor, the taxpayers will foot the bill for a lengthy and in-depth investigation, and that's not something the Democrats want to see.

We only have a handful of GOP members left who are playing it straight, and Pompeo is one of them. I hope they can hold out because the pressure on them has to be intense. Democrats, aided by the media, are going straight for the jugular.

If they can't pull back the curtain on the election fraud, why even vote anymore? I'm disappointed in my nation's leaders. And, I'm mad. We used to be better than this.

Trump's term has officially ended today??
    looking into it

it is WHY i said in earlier post ~ if it is NOT Trump i will tell you all

    could TOTALLY be contrived BS

    they are NOT playing

and the game is WIN or DIE

    they WILL go FULL OUT

this has got to STOP being such a surprise and become the expected

the battle is for the largest attention and mind of Americans

while they have successfully convinced EVERYONE that they are powerless

    and should just OBSERVE?

the fact is that we are NOT

and the whole push to "wake" the people up?

was NEVER just for the sake of knowledge

    it was to ACT

so THAT narrows the field (of who is actually "awake") quite a bit

the reason i said to observe what Pompeo "thinks"

is because it is never long before his "thought" turn into ACTION

now might be a good time to start emulating that i think ....

"The State Department has designated Cuba as a State Sponsor of Terrorism for repeatedly providing support for acts of international terrorism in granting safe harbor to terrorists.

The Trump Administration has been focused from the start on denying the Castro regime the resources it uses to oppress its people at home, and countering its malign interference in Venezuela and the rest of the Western Hemisphere.

With this action, we will once again hold Cuba’s government accountable and send a clear message: the Castro regime must end its support for international terrorism and subversion of U.S. justice.

For decades, the Cuban government has fed, housed, and provided medical care for murderers, bombmakers, and hijackers, while many Cubans go hungry, homeless, and without basic medicine. Members of the National Liberation Army (ELN), a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization, traveled to Havana to conduct peace talks with the Colombian government in 2017. Citing peace negotiation protocols, Cuba has refused Colombia’s requests to extradite ten ELN leaders living in Havana after the group claimed responsibility for the January 2019 bombing of a Bogota police academy that killed 22 people and injured more than 87 others.

Cuba also harbors several U.S. fugitives from justice wanted on or convicted of charges of political violence, many of whom have resided in Cuba for decades. For example, the Cuban regime has refused to return Joanne Chesimard, on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorists List for executing New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster in 1973; Ishmael LaBeet, convicted of killing eight people in the U.S. Virgin Islands in 1972; Charles Lee Hill, charged with killing New Mexico state policeman Robert Rosenbloom in 1971; and others."

    more indications of continuance ...

in all the flurry of news i missed that Chad Wolf, acting director of The Department Of Homeland Security, had publicly criticized the 'violence" at the State Capital on January 6th.

i wonder that he didn't feel a responsibility to actually DO his job and END the terroristic actions of the Democratic party's groups ANIFA and BLM that have cost the tax payers of this country, the small businesses that are the backbone of our economy much more than has EVER been seen in the history of this country!

BLM COST OVER $2 BILLION dollars ~ TWO BILLION

    these are ESTIMATES

    WHY?

the articles are over FOUR months ago and do NOT include ANTIFA nor the destruction and riot that took place just SIX days before the Trump Rally when ANTIFA attacked law enforcement and destroyed more property and businesses rioting in FULL attack on NEW YEAR's EVE in NEW YORK

so ... these figures are by no means "all inclusive"

    Breitbart reported

BLM Riots Are Officially the Most Costly
Manmade Damage to American Property in History

Property Claim Services, a company that tracks insurance claims filed due to riots and the like, found that the left-wing riots that occurred between May 26 and June 8 of this year could reach $2 billion in insurance claims.

    THAT COVERED ONLY TWELVE DAYS

$2 billion Black Lives Matter Riots estimate — which again only covers eight or nine days ` of rioting that has never really stopped.

    https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings...y-declaration/

Quote President Donald J. Trump Approves District of Columbia Emergency Declaration

    Issued on: January 11, 2021

Today, President Donald J. Trump declared that an emergency exists in the District of Columbia and ordered Federal assistance to supplement the District’s response efforts due to the emergency conditions resulting from the 59th Presidential Inauguration from January 11 to January 24, 2021.

The President’s action authorizes the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), to coordinate all disaster relief efforts which have the purpose of alleviating the hardship and suffering caused by the emergency on the local population, and to provide appropriate assistance for required emergency measures, authorized under Title V of the Stafford Act, to save lives and to protect property and public health and safety, and to lessen or avert the threat of a catastrophe in the District of Columbia.

Specifically, FEMA is authorized to identify, mobilize, and provide at its discretion, equipment and resources necessary to alleviate the impacts of the emergency. Emergency protective measures, limited to direct Federal assistance, will be provided at 100 percent Federal funding.

Pete Gaynor, Administrator, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Department of Homeland Security, named Thomas J. Fargione as the Federal Coordinating Officer for Federal recovery operations in the affected area.

I am truly gobsmacked to see the unfolding of the puppetshow 2020.

A puppet without strings is still a puppet.
Pinokkio wasn't changed into a boy until he had proven himself.. I doubt Political puppets have that option.
