"Auroras usually occur high above the clouds. The auroral glow is created when fast-moving particles ejected from the Sun impact the Earth's magnetosphere, from which charged particles spiral along the Earth's magnetic field to strike atoms and molecules high in the Earth's atmosphere. An oxygen atom, for example, will glow in the green light commonly emitted by an aurora after being energized by such a collision. The lowest part of an aurora will typically occur about 100 kilometers up, while most clouds exist only below about 10 kilometers. The relative heights of clouds and auroras are shown clearly in this image from Dyrholaey, Iceland. There, a determined astrophotographer withstood high winds and initially overcast skies in an attempt to capture aurora over a picturesque lighthouse, only to capture, by chance, some elongated lenticular clouds along the way. YouTube Video Falsely Claims Climate Models Systematically Over-estimated Warming

The claim that climate models fail to predict the future or reproduce the past was published in a YouTube video by Ben Davidson on his channel, Suspicious0bservers, which has more than 500,000 subscribers. This video has been watched more than 57,000 times since it was published on May 5, 2021. In the video, Davidson makes numerous false claims about climate models as explained in this review. He shows screenshots of titles and abstracts from recent climate science publications, which he misinterpreted to support his conclusion.

CLAIM: "The official observed temperatures are coming consistently below the scary global warming numbers"; "Melting polar ice triggers ice age"

RESPONSE: Inaccurate: The claim that climate models consistently overestimate global warming is inaccurate. Retrospective studies have found that climate models skillfully forecasted the evolution of global surface temperatures over the past few decades.

Misrepresents sources: Ben Davidson quoted numerous studies to support his claim. However, he misrepresented these sources: the analyses did not conclude that models are inaccurate, nor that an ice age would be coming.

Fluffy Ball of Darkinos Could be Lurking at the Center of the Milky Way

In the summer of 2014, astronomers watched with giddy anticipation as a cloud of gas, known as G2, swung dangerously close to a supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way. Sparks didn't fly, nor did a feeding frenzy ensue. Instead, G2 zipped by unscathed, surviving what astronomers thought would be a near-death experience.

But black holes are big bullies, so the fact that the gravity well ignored the gassy passerby was more than surprising. It seemed impossible. Now, astronomers are saying that the supermassive black hole in the center of our galaxy is not a black hole at all, but rather a fluffy ball of dark matter. New research suggests this strange hypothesis is able to account for the "impossible" encounter as well as all observations of the galactic center — and then some ... our galaxy's black hole may be something else entirely.

This is my first major event. I had a couple of weird things happen in this area a few times prior, but I never had my phone ready, & I definitely didn't have anything happen like what I witnessed this day There's a lot going on here much of which I didn't even notice until I went back & watched. There were many more crafts than I realized."

UFO Sighting?!? OBX, NC Outer Banks Strange Lights In The Sky

Just after sunset on May 17, 2021 a very large bright white orb of light appeared in the southern sky hovering off the Outer Banks of NC. After a short time a second light appeared just above the first and the first light disappeared then reappeared. It was a very windy night which can be heard in the video. The lights were bright white in color and quite large.

'Ring of Fire’ Solar Eclipse – June 10




The new moon will sweep in front of the sun to create this year’s first solar eclipse on Thursday, June 10. On that day, the moon in its elliptical orbit of Earth will lie too far from us to cover over the sun completely. So a bright annulus – or ring – will surround the new moon silhouette at mid-eclipse. It’s the outer rim of the sun, not quite hidden from view. People have taken to calling these “ring of fire” eclipses. Essentially, they are partial eclipses, albeit very dramatic ones. As with any partial eclipse, you need eye protection to watch an annular eclipse. Watching with the unaided eye will cause eye damage.

With just a few simple supplies, you can make a pinhole camera that allows you to view the event safely and easily. Before you get started, remember: You should never look at the sun directly without equipment that's specifically designed for solar viewing. Do not use standard binoculars or telescopes to watch the eclipse, as the light could severely damage your eyes. Sunglasses do NOT count as protection when attempting to look directly at the sun.

To my amazement, the skies cleared and it was a race to get back to the location and start shooting.
