Did you try, "reply with quote" then select the URL ans open it manually? (then cancel reply) I have to do that a lot to see posts, because my browser blocks all the trackers which prevents me from seeing embedded FB, Twitter and IG content.

Twitter urls are narky for images. It makes it easy to use in a browser, but scraping urls for image links for forums is not intuitive imho.

There's some redirect magic happening with that image link. The image link is a twitter page url rather than an image url

I got the image url by selecting Copy image address, but it can be hard to do on some devices.
