There are some really good cops around, of course. As early as October? last year, a police association in NSW attempted to speak out (I'm assuming the letter was genuine).

It was a great letter, i took a lot of hope from it. Obviously nothing more became of it. It was just one finger in the dyke, i think.

There has not been even 1 case found in my local government area (Tweed Shire, northern NSW), yet these current draconian measures have now been extended.

Below is a local politician's announcement on fb.
Sure he shares the frustration blah blah blah...
He gets to keep his considerable pay check, it must be really hard for him too.

Meanwhile poor businessmen and tradies are now starting to panic so much they are taking to the streets. Unprecedented that a tradie would march!

PEACEFUL PROTEST: A group of more than 12 people on the NSW side of the border, with about the same on the Queensland side, joined in a peaceful protest around the COVID-19 border closures this morning, stressing their "livelihoods are at risk".
Local tradespeople and business owners met on Stuart Street near the Qld border checkpoint to voice their concerns with the COVID-19 border blockade highlighting the situation is "risking everyone's livelihoods".
Tweed Police were in attendance at the protest along with Mayor Chris Cherry and Member for Tweed Geoff Provest, who spoke at the gathering (masks and social distancing was observed).
One local told The Weekly that families are "fed up" with the border blockade to cross into Queensland and feel they're being "unfairly treated" requiring a COVID-19 vaccine jab to cross.

I checked the current covid statistics today as published in the Australian Fairfax mediia just to get a reality check as antidote to the lockdown hysteria the MSM and governments are whipping up

To date there have been1,000 deaths in Australia over the last 18+ months (700+ deaths were in 2020)

Currently there are 8,500 active cases in Australia

500 of these cases are in hospital

that means 1 in 17 cases is hospitalised

that means 16 out of 17 are OK

of the 8500 cases there are 76 cases in ICU = 1 in approx 1000 cases in ICU
