I had several Far Side books in my childhood. Some years I got the tear off calendars at Christmas. Even though I've seen hundreds of these panels, there was some posted here I don't remember seeing before.

I couldn't find the original but my favourite was a man painting Psycho the rapist on the office door and the other guy yelling 'it's one word!'

I absolutely love this thread and Gary Larson's work, but sometimes when I see some of cartoons they feel like truth drops?

I got that feeling on this occasion. Apologies to any psychotherapists, not making any generalised accusations! Just there's a lot of very odd aspects of the English language and this cartoon highlighted another one to this apophenia addled mind!

Well, I was laughing my head off until I came to your post and for one, sorry your apology is not accepted and it is a very "generalized" accusation. This may seem like an over reaction but I just cant let this one stand as is. First the word psychotherapist is a layman’s term, it is not a legally held title. In order to practice you must hold a license in the US. You can have several licenses but related to this term is a psychologist, because a psychiatrist prescribes medication and rarely if ever does therapy. As in any profession there are some good and bad actors and the control system can invert every profession and use it for bad, but to compare them to psycho rapists is not a "TRUTH DROP" or having fun with "addled" words but making connections that hurt and insult many true healers. Its funny in the cartoon because its just a coincidence once you say its a "truth drop" your not the least bit funny.
