Britain’s top public health officials have advised ministers that “stringent national measures” need to be imposed by 18 December to avoid Covid hospitalisations surpassing last winter’s peak, according to documents leaked to the Guardian.

Sajid Javid, the health secretary, received a presentation from the UK Health and Security Agency (UKHSA) on Tuesday warning that even if the new Omicron variant leads to less serious disease than Delta, it risks overwhelming the NHS with 5,000 people admitted to hospital a day.

In an interview with the Guardian, the epidemiologist Prof Neil Ferguson said the total could be double that number.

No 10 insisted there were no imminent plans to bring in more measures after plan B measures were announced for England this week but cabinet minister Michael Gove, who chaired a Cobra meeting on Friday, said the government had been presented with some “very challenging information” about the speed of the spread.

The Guardian has seen leaked advice from UKHSA for Javid marked “official, sensitive” saying: “The key point is that under a range of plausible scenarios, stringent action is needed on or before 18 December 2021 if doubling times stay at 2.5 days. Even if doubling times rise to around 5 days, stringent action is likely still needed in December.”

It adds: “The rapid spread of Omicron means that action to limit pressures on the health system might have to come earlier than intuition suggests.” Its calculations suggest that even if Omicron causes a less severe hospitalisation rate of 1% or 0.5% compared with Delta’s 1.5%, then “stringent national measures’” would be needed by 18 December at the latest.

On the current trajectory of 2.5 days doubling time, and without any further restrictions, the document warns that Omicron cases could be at 248,000 cases a day by 19 December. It also stresses that the figures are not a projection but an estimate of Omicron prevalence and doubling times seen in the UK so far.

The document does not detail what the necessary curbs would be but defines “stringent national measures” as those that bring the R (reproduction) number below 1.

Boris Johnson triggered plan B this week including more wide-ranging mask mandates, asking people to work from home and Covid passports for big venues but a senior Whitehall source said few inside UKHSA believe this will have much effect on slowing the spread of the variant.

Further measures, now being referred to as plan C, could include stricter isolation requirements for contacts of Covid cases, masks in pubs, shutting hospitality entirely, more restrictions on visitors to care homes and hospitals or even the return of curbs on social contact.

As the ministers convened a Cobra meeting to discuss Omicron, the level of concern about the variant is rising among its scientific and public health advisers. There were more than 58,000 new confirmed UK daily cases of Covid on Friday – the highest level since January – with 120 deaths within 28 days of a positive test.

Cobra, which involved the four nations of the UK, was chaired by Gove, the levelling up secretary, as Johnson spent time with his family after the birth of his second child with his wife, Carrie Johnson.

He warned that evidence suggests Omicron is “more likely” than past Covid-19 variants to “potentially” lead to hospital admissions among the fully vaccinated.

Sturgeon warned of a “potential tsunami” of Omicron infections as the new variant brings “the fastest exponential growth we have seen in this pandemic so far”. At an unscheduled televised Covid update on Friday, the first minister said that “frankness” with the public was necessary, as the Scottish government published an evidence paper suggesting Omicron is “rising exponentially”.

It came as the Welsh government hinted at new restrictions on visiting people in care homes and hospitals to counter the impact of Omicron. The first minister, Mark Drakeford, also suggested it would be wise for businesses and public sector leaders to plan for the possibility of further clampdowns and even a new lockdown.

He said: “We will be issuing new guidance for visiting in care homes and hospitals. We want to do all we can to support visiting where it is safe to do so but, if we see a new wave of cases, some strengthened measures to protect patients and residents may be needed.”

A government spokesperson said: “There are no plans for further restrictions. Plan B is the proportionate approach given what we know at this stage about the Omicron variant.

“The government will continue to look closely at all the emerging data and we’ll keep our measures under review as we learn more about this variant.”

Isn't it just mind boggling that they keep listening to this guy? It's kind of like the US government still trying to prop old Fauci back up on the pedestal yet again. In what sane world would you give these people that are catastrophically wrong over and over again, people that are proven unethical and liars, evil and cruel second to no one, not only allowed but honored for their expertise by the media? Well that's ok as it won't overwhelm hospitals, as nobody is getting to see a doctor these days so they won't be admitting anyone with cancer, heart disease, or any other chronic illness, as they can't get a referral until it's too late.

I know someone misdiagnosed THREE TIMES in phone appointments, finally saw a nurse practitioner who was on the ball and made a hospital referral. Last month they got a letter that they would have a referral to a hospital specialist - a PHONE appointment in late January.

Fortunately they saw someone who has a biofeedback machine, that diagnosed it correctly (and it was something that could have been a serious problem), she suggested some supplements and they are now fine so they can shove their phone appointment.

As someone who tries to keep up-to-date with the CV data on a daily basis, a statement made
by Dr. McCullough at 9:35 in the video jumped out at me right away.

My data tables had recently shown me that the U.S. had a cases/population percent of 15%.
Dr. McCullough stated the following:
"... we have now, the CDC , the estimates are generally for the United States are 148 million Americans through May are immune, that they actually have had Covid-19 and they have natural immunity, that's now supported by over 120 studies that's been accumulated by the way on the Brownstone website."

That translates into a cases/population percent of 44.7 %.
That is a huge difference, almost three times as much.
And if true, equates to almost half the population of the U.S. being immune to Covid and thus not requiring a vaccine.
His numbers were through to May 2021, so by now they would be closer to 50%.

I think too that Joe Rogan would never expect his own views to be so changed. Rogan interviewed Hotez about vaccines in 2019 and let the man claim that vaccines just have saline and an antigen and a bunch of other nonsense (during the great measles pandemic).

Dr. Mc Cullough is a GENIUS with seeming photographic memory. He can cite studies and dates and correlate info with the incredible ability to simply explain for those who are lay people. This particular interview was definitely as he said "Grand Rounds" for the public.

Dr. McCullough says he is not anti and skirts around most "why" questions of intent but at the very end, he was very direct in some ways that show he is becoming more and more radicalized.

I am now "done" with Trump all together. Trump has let down humanity and has no place in the future and should be canceled.

It is so strange that in the last 2 years, the people who genuinely care about human beings have set aside many personality issues to come together. The ones who just care for their own goodies are seen in high relief.

Pfizer’s COVID vaccine trial results; are these statistics “acceptable”?

Absolutely not. They wouldn’t be acceptable for any medication brought to market, this magnitude of side effects, 31% either died, had permanent disability or were not recovered. It’s insane that at the time of the report to government authorities, April 30th, 2021 that this drug, this injection wasn’t pulled off the market immediately.

Explaining some devastating known side effects…

Sequela is some type of a problem that lingers even though you recovered. Let’s say you had an extremely high fever with seizures and the seizures never actually went away, you keep getting occasional seizures every now and then, or you have paralysis of an arm or a leg after the seizure and that just doesn’t go away.

Reverse transcriptase is where mRNA is turned into DNA, and depending on where that segment of DNA accidentally interrupts and integrates itself into the cells DNA, you can either be causing cancer, you can be causing mutations, or you might not cause anything at all. It’s completely random. The reverse transcriptase itself can lead this mRNA injection into causing new mutations in the DNA.

Effects on pregnant women…

Out of 274 pregnancy cases where pregnant women received this injection, there were 75 serious reported clinical events. 75 over 274. That’s a 27% serious clinical event instance. Any pregnant woman who received this injection after April 30th, 2021 should be suing their obstetrician for malpractice. Absolutely unheard of.

Effects on our children…

There were 34 instances where children under the age of 12 were given this injection between December 1st and February 28th. Of those 34 children, 24 had serious side effects. Of those 24 kids who had a serious case after getting this injection 16 were resolved or resolving, 13 had not resolved and five were unknown.

Risks of genetic damage to children….

We’re not even talking about the genetic damage. This is just the damage that they discovered in the first three months between December 1st and February 28th, a pregnancy is nine full months. We don’t know how many of the other cases that were non-serious in the first two months might turn into serious events, miscarriages stillbirths, birth defects, deformities, developmental delay, which is where a child doesn’t develop the ability to walk, talk or think at a normal rate. In previous years, it was called mental retardation. We have no idea what the long-term effects are.

Are smaller doses for children safe and effective?

No, as long as there’s enough of a dose, if it’s a 1/3, one quarter, one tenth a dose, it only changes the amount of time it takes to produce copies of itself. It’ll just take a little bit longer at one tenth of the dose than at the full adult dose. There is no safe dose for this injection.'
