Grossly unethical’ government ‘nudge unit’ accused of scaring the public over Covid

Tactics of ‘deploying fear, shame and scapegoating’ during pandemic labelled an ‘ethically dubious practice’

A group of psychologists have written to Parliament’s Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee, warning that a team of civil servants dedicated to “nudging” public behaviour during the pandemic were unaccountable and unethical.

The letter’s 40 professional signatories - led by Dr Gary Sidley, a retired clinical psychologist - said they opposed the use of dramatic adverts, which included slogans such as: “If you go out you can spread it, people will die.”

They also condemned the use of “images of the acutely unwell in intensive care units” on billboard and television adverts, as well as the “macabre mono focus on showing the number of Covid-19 deaths without mention of mortality from other causes or the fact that, under normal circumstances, around 1,600 people die each day in the UK”.

It's pretty clear that Neil Young and Joni Mitchell have both taken the jab and are in defensive / aggressive mode - and neither want to look deeper into the reality of the risks (short term and long term) of taking an experimental, unlicensed injection - it says in the BBC article that both had polio in the early 1950s just before a vaccine became available and (I'm saying) that must have influenced their extreme reaction - but the mRNA jab is a whole different ball game and the Fake 'Covid' Pandemic a whole different story... can't they see that...? It would also be interesting to know the details of their contracting polio because I have come across some very dodgey stories (in passing - not looked into it deeply)... about how experimental polio vaccines were responsible for a lot of the spread of polio around that time... and there was a big cover up about it...

so Neil and Joni (could) have been victims twice over of the criminal activities of Big Pharma and their vaccine money cow - they are also friends so Joni must have felt the need to leap to Neil's defense...

Neil Young is absolutely taken apart by Jimmy Dore in this video... no holds barred... I wonder if Joni has similar financial connections or whether she's coming more from a personal angle... ? whatever - Joni - 'you don't know what you've got til it's gone...'.......... ie. the freedom to refuse to take part in a (life threatening) clinical trial..

Particularly weird because she allegedly has Morgellens. One would think she might have looked into things a bit further due to that,,doesn't look like it. They don'tseem to realize that their once liberal ideologies have morphed into fascism and they are in lock step with the whole thing...Also looks like they still think they have the same influence they did in the 60's. They have become 'woke' caricatures of their previous selves.

Spotify wants to transition from a music streaming service to a podcasting provider because podcasts are much more profitable.
There's a reason they paid $100 million to get Joe Rogan.
They don't give a toss about Young's hubris or any other irrelevant boomer musicians doing this kind of thing for publicity.
I would also wager that Young probably didn't have a clue who Rogan was, or probably thought he was a nobody, and has probably never listened to his podcast or underestimated Rogan some kind of way.

Isolated island in Pacific Ocean experiences first COVID-19 cases of the pandemic after arrival of fully vaccinated, triple-tested missionaries who were in quarantine

The first signs of the novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, surfaced in Wuhan, China, on Dec. 12, 2019. By December 2020, COVID-19 had reached every continent on the planet after the first cases were detected on Antarctica. Through the entire COVID-19 endemic and pandemic, the remote island nation of Kiribati had managed to not have a single case of COVID-19 until Jan. 19, 2022.

Kiribati is an isolated island nation in the middle of the Pacific Ocean with a population of roughly 122,000. Kiribati closed its borders 10 months ago, then reopened the country this month.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chartered a plane to Kiribati this month to bring home 54 of the island nation's citizens. Many of the travelers were missionaries who had left Kiribati before the country closed the border.

There were highly rigorous precautions to ensure that the travelers didn't bring COVID-19 to the unspoiled island nation.

First, everyone had to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Second, passengers had to test negative for COVID-19 three times in nearby Fiji before arrival. Third, they had been in pre-departure quarantine for two weeks before the flight. Fourth, they were put in quarantine with additional testing when they arrived home, according to the Associated Press.

Despite the over-the-top safeguards, two-thirds of the travelers were diagnosed with COVID-19 after arriving from Fiji on Jan. 15. Of the 54 passengers, 36 tested positive for COVID-19.

On Jan. 19, Kiribati reported 37 COVID-19 cases. As of Jan. 28, there are 181 confirmed COVID-19 cases and no deaths.

Kiribati declared a state of disaster and quickly instituted COVID-19 restrictions, including lockdowns, curfews, and quarantine sites.

There are 33% of Kiribati citizens who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

There was a similar situation last month in Antarctica when nearly two-thirds of the research staff based at the Princess Elisabeth Polar Station became infected with COVID-19 despite strict health protocols in place. The workers at the Princess Elisabeth Polar Station were also fully vaccinated, took multiple PCR tests, and quarantined before arriving at the research facility.

You know maybe the plane ride and altitudes are triggers for the jab ingredient to be activated ???? Thats the only common denominator between antarctic and this island , just a thought

Finland will dismantle all Covid-related restrictions during the month of February, the country's Prime Minister Sanna Marin (SDP) announced on Monday.

The PM made the announcement at a meeting with the Association of Editors, a group dealing with journalism, freedom of expression and editorial work, a couple of days after the country marked the third year of dealing with the epidemic.

Following decisions reached last week, some Covid-related restrictions are to be eased this week.

Starting on Tuesday, February 1, establishments that primarily serve food will be allowed to stay open until 9pm. But, establishments that mainly serve alcoholic beverages will still be required to stop alcohol sales at 5pm and shut down for the day at 6pm.

Restaurants will be able to retain the right to require Covid passes from customers as a condition of admission. On the other hand, use of the passes will not exempt restaurants from restrictions on alcohol sales and opening hours, at least until mid-February.

Public gyms and swimming pools in the Uusimaa region will also be permitted to operate starting on Tuesday.

Starting on Tuesday, regulations at Finland's borders for passengers arriving from Schengen Area countries as well as non-Schengen EU member states will be lifted.

Dutch Eu MEP Demands Openness: 'What Did Von Der Leyen Cook Up With The Pfizer Boss?'

The European Ombudsman wants text messages between EU boss Ursula von der Leyen and the CEO of Pfizer to be revealed. The Ombudsman argues that the text messages are covered by the EU's transparency law and that the public has a right to access relevant documents.

Last year the New York Times wrote an article about the communication between von der Leyen and Bourla. According to the newspaper, that communication played an important role in the realization of billions of deals on the purchase of corona vaccines.

The Ombudsman then opened an inquiry, but the EU's daily administration said that text messages are 'secret' and do not need to be kept. The Ombudsman disagrees.
