"On January 17, China's Bureau of Statistics released the economic data for 2021, where the data on the birth rate has attracted much debate. According to the official data, China's birth rate in 2021 was 7.52 per thousand, the lowest it’s been since the Chinese Communist Party came into power in 1949. The total population in 2021 was 1.413 billion, only 480 thousand more than that of 2020. The natural population growth rate dropped to 0.34%, the lowest since 1960.

Another indicator of fertility level, the Total Fertility Rate (TFR), is the average number of children a female has over her reproductive life. According to the 7th census, China's total fertility rate in 2020 was 1.3, and some demographers have projected that the TFR in 2021 is likely to be 1.1-1.2 based on the number of births in 2021, which is an important indicator of fertility levels and future population trends in demography. The fertility rate is generally considered to be 2.1 children per couple to maintain intergenerational balance, in other words, no increase or decrease in population size. Fertility level of 1.1-1.2 is ultra-low, which means that China's future demographic situation is becoming more severe."

"As one of China’s staple foods, the repeated incidents of toxic rice has been a cause of concern for many.
On April 26, 2020, a report on the disposal of 99.4 tons of cadmium-poisoned rice in Zhenxiong County, Yunnan, caused widespread concern.
A video was recorded by an unknown individual on the situation. In the video, we see piles of rice bags being crushed and mixed with coal using heavy machinery. According to official media, the coal-covered rice was then burned as fuel in a thermal power plant and eliminated, citing the safety concerns of high cadmium levels in the contaminated rice.
Between April and July of 2019, the Zhenxiong County Market Bureau had previously confiscated the contaminated rice, which had been recently purchased by local food processing plants for rice noodles. Mr. Xiong, an official of the Bureau, commented that during the 2019 Chinese New Year Festival, they had sampled rice noodles manufactured by a local factory and found cadmium levels that exceeded safety standards. Looking further into the situation, they had finally identified the rice grains as the source behind the high cadmium concentrations. According to Mr. Xiong, neither the rice distributor nor the factory’s company was aware of the dangerous cadmium levels in the rice. After the investigation, they found that the contaminated rice was purchased from 7 different rice mills, who were later all filed for investigation.
Cadmium, a heavy metal, is easily absorbed by rice crops and gets concentrated in the grains. While naturally present in minute quantities in soil, industrial discharge and some fertilizers can leech high levels of cadmium into the soil, which gets further absorbed into crops. To make matters worse, when contaminated foods like rice get consumed by people, cadmium doesn’t leave the body and instead accumulates in their bones and organs, leading to cadmium poisoning. At high levels, this can cause further issues such as kidney failure, anemia, and osteoporosis."

"In the last few years, the global supply chain has been hit hard by not only the recent pandemic but also by the trade wars between the US and China. With the relatively extreme ways that China has been dealing with these issues, many countries have realized the economic risks in relying on China as time goes on. As such, numerous foreign companies have been pulling out of China, going instead to other developing countries such as Vietnam, India and Thailand.
On January 12, Canon, another large company, announced that they will be shutting down their factory in Zhuhai, China. This was apparently caused by heavy operational difficulties due to the prolonged outbreaks of COVID-19, which undoubtedly raised concerns from many Chinese citizens. As one of the earliest Companies to have entered the Chinese manufacturing market, the Zhuhai branch has been in operation since 1990, having lasted 32 years. Over the years, the factory manufactures all sorts of products for Canon, from lenses to different electronics like printers, cameras and camcorders.
It is worth mentioning that in 2013, this factory was recently upgraded with an investment of $1.5 billion yuan, increasing its production capacity by twofold. At the time, it was one of Canon’s largest overseas factories, employing over 10,000 employees and able to produce up to 20 million cameras a year."

‘Unsilenced’ Film Is a ‘Scathing Indictment of the CCP’: Pompeo

"On Jan. 21, around 9:00 p.m., when the film “Unsilenced” was just finishing in Hall 10 of Cinemark in Fairfax County, Virginia, the audience stayed motionless in their seats. Ten seconds, 20 seconds, even 30 seconds passed … no one spoke or stood up as the screen kept scrolling with the cast’s names. Some were wiping away tears, apparently unable to pull themselves from the story so soon.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently watched the movie in the same theater. He called the film “a moving, honest, scathing indictment of the CCP [Chinese Communist Party].”

“The truth of Xi & his predecessors’ utter depravity & the power-driven horrors they’ve inflicted cannot be denied,” he wrote on Twitter and encouraged people to watch it. “This movie unsilences the wonderful Chinese people.”



In theaters in Mesa, Arizona, and in Raleigh, North Carolina, the audience gave a standing ovation at the end of the movie.

“Unsilenced” has since its debut on Jan. 21 been released in 30 U.S. cities, including New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Philadelphia, and San Diego. So far, the showtimes have been extended for another week until Feb. 3.

Canadian filmmaker Leon Lee presents a story of two couples of Chinese college students, who risked their lives to reveal the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) appalling persecution of peaceful Falun Gong adherents. With the help of a Chicago journalist, they successfully unearth the CCP’s dehumanizing abuses to the international community.

Falun Gong is a spiritual practice that features three core tenets of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance, along with five slow-moving exercises. After it was made public in 1992, its following in China grew to an estimated 70 million to 100 million people in 1999. The CCP, deeming the practice’s popularity a threat, then launched a nationwide campaign to eradicate it.

The production is based on actual events in connection with practitioner Wang Weiyu, a gifted graduate of China’s Tsinghua University. Wang experienced torture, including hours of electrocution by electric baton, during eight and half years’ imprisonment in Beijing for refusing to give up his belief in Falun Gong. In 2013, he fled communist China and joined his family in the United States.New York-based screenwriter Maximilian Kempf described “Unsilenced” as a “legal thriller,” which kept the audience always questioning in their mind.

“You know, it always makes you want to question,” Kempf said in an interview with The Epoch Times. “You’re at the edge of your seat throughout the movie.”

He said the movie is highly professional in terms of the graphics, the music, the act, and especially the narrative. Even the torture scenes were handled in a tasteful way, said the screenwriter.

At the same time, he highlighted its Western perspective, which appeals to the international audience. He said that the production carries humanity and compassion, which is a universal value.

“So I’d encourage people to go to the website that the movie is based on,” said the screenwriter. “This movie needs a lot more publicity, hopefully.”

“In many ways, I was attracted to this film,” Margarita Marin-Dale, a retired professor and a human rights lawyer, told The Epoch Times after she watched the show with her two sons. “Because I’m very concerned about individual liberties, freedom of religion, freedom of speech. I think it shows how difficult and conflicting it is for people to stand up for the truth.”She said, “I think that this movie brings attention to the oppressive nature of the regime in China, even though China is doing … economically very well.”

Moreover, she heaped praise on Falun Gong believers for their bravery shown in standing up to the Chinese totalitarian regime. “And as Americans who believe in democracy and freedom, I think we should be very supportive of them,” said the rights lawyer.

She was also convinced that the Chinese communist regime is doomed to failure. “It’s like a pot of boiling water,” she said. “But eventually it will explode if you keep on holding the lid down. So, it’s very important that freedom prevails.”

The movie also captivated her two sons William Dale and Philip Dale.

“It felt like you were really there,” said William Dale. “I definitely shed a few tears during the film. That was very emotional.” His brother Philip Dale commented, “I love how it portrays the humanity of all the characters in the situation.”

Mary Lien Nguyen is a retired IT specialist who had worked in the Federal government for nearly 30 years. She fled Vietnam and moved to the United States in 1979.

She told The Epoch Times the show moved her to tears.

As an immigrant from communist Vietnam, Nguyen said she knows how terrible communists are. She accused the CCP of concealing the truth about Falun Gong and trying every means to silence fearless whistleblowers, like the college students in the movie.

She warned that Communists try to destroy humanity. She said that is a terrible thing for her, and she hoped that the truth told in the show would spread to the entire world.



Positive audience reviews abound on social media.

“My young son and I saw this incredible film today,” said an internet user named Kerry Debois. “It’s my deepest hope every person goes to see this important and very well done movie. I was gripped the entire time.”

A viewer by the name of Karen Evanek left a message, “The abundance of anonymity in the credits is stunning. May they/you all remain safe.”

There is a post from Iris Neal, reading that “Just saw this powerful eye-opening film today. … I will recommend it highly. … Sad that so many involved with production had to be ‘anonymous.'”

A parent calling herself Hawa Agnes-Hass said, “I’m taking my husband and kids to see this movie as a family! My kids have to understand what is happening in my America.”

“Unsilenced” was the Audience Award Winner at the Austin Film Festival in 2021. And on Jan. 25 it gained nomination by The Political Film Society as the best film on human rights as well as the best film exposé for 2022.

Leon Lee also directed the documentary “Human Harvest” (2014), which exposed the CCP’s removal and sale of organs from prisoners of conscience, who are mainly Falun Gong detainees. The film was broadcast in more than 25 countries and won the Peabody Award in April 2015."

"Foreign journalists face “unprecedented hurdles” covering China as the communist regime has stepped up intimidation, harassment, and lawsuits against them, a reporters group said in a new report.

The vast majority, 99 percent, of foreign correspondents surveyed by the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of China (FCCC) said the reporting conditions in China didn’t meet international standards. The group warned the media media freedom in the country is declining at “breakneed speed.”

“The Chinese state continues to find new ways to intimidate foreign correspondents, their Chinese colleagues, and those whom the foreign press seeks to interview, via online trolling, physical assaults, cyber hacking, and visa denials,” the FCCC wrote in the report released on Jan. 31.

The group said that 127 of its 192 members responded to this year’s survey.

The Chinese regime appears to be “encouraging” lawsuits or the threat of legal action against foreign journalists, often filed by sources long after they had agreed to be interviewed.

“The FCCC highlights this development with alarm, as foreigners involved in civil or criminal lawsuits and court proceedings in China can be banned from leaving the country, based on past precedent,” the report stated.A BBC reporter was forced to leave Beijing with his family last March following online trolling and threats of legal action issued by the communist regime after his investigative coverage of the regime’s rights abuses Xinjiang, the pandemic, and other issues deemed sensitive by the Chinese Communist Party.

Fan Haze, a Chinese national working at Bloomberg’s Beijing bureau, has been detained since December 2020. She was taken away by plainclothes police from her home in Beijing on suspicion of allegedly endangering national security.

The heightened state-backed intimidation efforts has resulted in a handful of correspondents leaving mainland China and many news outlets developing emergency exit plans. “Covering China is increasingly becoming an exercise in remote reporting,” the report noted.

The findings comes just days before the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, an event that is already under scrutiny due to the Chinese Communist Party’s human rights violations in Xinjiang, Tibet, and Hong Kong.

As the regime is gearing up for the Games, the Beijing-based group noted that press freedom is deteriorating, as the Chinese Communist Party wants to “ensure political stability” at the event, meaning fewer opportunities for foreign journalists to cover the event.

Ninety percent of foreign correspondents surveyed by the FCCC said they would not enter the Olympic bubble—a quarantine area where athletes and workers for the Games are segregated from the rest of Beijing—to ensure mobility and the ability to report.

According to the FCCC the regime has “frequently” used pandemic control measures as a purported reason to obstruct reporting trips and delay issuing new journalists visas.

The group also spotlighted Beijing’s campaign of “visa harassment,” saying the regime’s delay in issuing new visas and refusal to renew journalists’ press cards has caused critical staffing shortages at media outlets. The visa restrictions imposed by the regime escalated in 2020 after Beijing expelled several foreign journalists from the country and the Trump administration designated a group of Chinese state-run media outlets’ U.S. operations as “foreign missions.”

In November, the Biden administration reached a deal with Beijing to ease visa restrictions on both countries’ journalists. However, as of the end of 2021, China had yet to grant visas to the handful of U.S. journalists promised under the agreement, according to the report.

"Whenever China experiences a nationwide event, the Chinese Communist Party uses various means to maintain as much stability as possible. In other words, the CCP has control over all aspects of society, stifling dissidence from people such as human rights activists and certain religious groups.
When it comes to global events such as the winter Olympics, the CCP will put particular care into making sure that stability is maintained throughout the globally-witnessed event. As such, many WeChat accounts have been blocked and several human rights lawyers have been arrested as well. As for the rest, China has put them under house arrest and have maintained tight surveillance over their every action through a tightly monitored network.

The biggest piece of technology that allows the CCP to achieve this is their country-wide video surveillance system.

According to official Chinese media, their video surveillance system was completed back in September of 2017.

In recent years, the CCP has used more and more technologically advanced methods to monitor people, from the Golden Shield Project to SkyNet and in 2015, the Sharp Eyes Project was launched for rural areas of China. With omnipresent surveillance paired with its advanced facial recognition AI technology, China has a massive database of its citizens, able to keep track of every single person’s movements. As early as 2004, CCP authorities had already proposed ideas for “peacekeeping” in China, eventually leading to the SkyNet project.

This “SkyNet” is a video surveillance system invested by the CCP where numerous surveillance cameras are installed in various locations such as traffic routes, stations, malls and theaters. With the addition of their advanced global satellite positioning systems and their face recognition and image collection capabilities, the public is being monitored at all times, eliminating any sense of personal privacy."

A ‘Perfect Crime’ Leaving No Survivors: Investigators Detail China’s Grisly Organ Harvesting Industry

"They were in robust health when they were put on the operating table for doctors to carve out their organs. Many of them were still breathing. When the job was done, the bodies were tossed into the incinerator and burned, leaving no trace behind.

The spine-chilling scene had been a lived reality for prisoners of conscience in China under the regime’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting, recounted by two investigators at a Feb. 17 virtual webinar hosted by Washington-based think tank Hudson Institute.

“There was no charge, no hearing, no appeal,” said David Kilgour, Canada’s former secretary of state for Asia-Pacific who, together with Canadian human rights lawyer David Matas, spent years investigating the issue.

“A policeman just simply said: ‘you’re going to this work camp over here.’ … you waited working 16 hours a day,” he said. “Then one day somebody would come in, seize them, give them a little potassium, and then their organs would be taken out and your bodies would be burned.”

“That’s how the rule of law works in China in terms of getting organs.”

It’s a “perfect crime, because there actually aren’t any survivors” of the operation, added moderator Nina Shea, a human rights lawyer and former commissioner of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom, now a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute.

The billion-dollar organ harvesting industry, which boomed at the same time as the regime escalated a brutal eradication campaign targeting the spiritual group Falun Gong in the early 2000s, has for decades been covered up in China.

Even in the West, officials and the medical bodies have been reluctant to confront the issue until 2019, when an independent people’s tribunal in London concluded, “beyond a reasonable doubt,” that organ harvesting sourcing from Falun Gong inmates has taken place for years “on a significant scale.”

Annie (alias), a former worker at a Chinese hospital in northeastern China, was the first to shed light on the horrific abuse in 2006. In testimonies to The Epoch Times later corroborated by others, she revealed how her ex-husband, a military surgeon at the same hospital, forcibly removed corneas from Falun Gong practitioners.

Her account was what brought the two Davids together to investigate the issue. They later released a report titled Bloody Harvest, where they examined hundreds of hospitals in China, drawing from media reports, medical journals, and archives. Their findings was that the Chinese regime has been using Falun Gong adherents as a living organ bank while significantly undercounting the number of transplants done each year.

Annie’s husband performed some over 2,000 cornea removal operations over a two-year period beginning 2001, she later told the two in an interview. He was so tormented by his conscience that he began having nightmares, arousing Annie’s suspicion.

The two split after Annie decided she couldn’t accept his complicity in the act. Both of them escaped overseas after receiving threats for their lives.

“This is a national crime,” she said in a statement to The Epoch Times in April 2006.

Annie’s ex-husband felt a deep sense of remorse when he cut open a patient’s clothes and saw a small box falling out, according to Annie, who read the account in a journal her ex-husband kept. The small box contained a round Falun Gong pin with a note written on paper.

“Mom, I wish you a happy birthday,” it read.

Despite the defection of Annie and several others, the organ harvesting machinery has continued to operate, attracting transplant tourists from around the world who were lured by promises by Chinese hospitals of speedy organ matches and surgeries.

“Everywhere else, there’s a shortage of organs, and organs are allocated depending on priorities, but in China, the whole system was run as if there was an inexhaustible supply of organs,” said Matas. “All they had to do was show up and pay the money.”

“The whole system is compartmentalized, and everybody would pretend to be willfully blind to the other components of the system,” he said.

Kilgour recalled speaking to a patient from Asia who was presented with four matching kidneys in succession over a few months. The first three kidneys were rejected by her body, and the fourth one was a success. The doctor, who wore a military uniform, presented the first matching kidney shortly after their first meeting.

“They take all the organs, they don’t just take one kidney,” said Kilgour. “So four people died so that this man could get a good kidney. Isn’t that incredible?”

Two dozen counties in Virginia have recently passed resolutions to condemn China’s organ harvesting and urge their residents against taking part in organ tourism in the country, so has the Texas state Senate.

Some U.S. officials are seeking action in Congress to bring the perpetrators into account.

The two investigators agreed that the international bodies needs to do more on the issue. Kilgour, for one, said he was “embarrassed” that Canada hasn’t passed any legislation on organ harvesting.

“There’s a few but not enough,” said Matas, urging countries to cut off collaboration of any kind with the Chinese transplant system.

Over the past 20 years, China's economy has grown substantially but a considerable portion of that has come from real estate.
Property developers have borrowed money to expand their real estate portfolio to hundreds of cities.
We’re talking about modern glass and steel apartments, office buildings, and houses all across cities in China.
Speculators began purchasing houses with the sole purpose of price appreciation.
After all, from the perspective of Chinese citizens, housing prices have been increasing year after year for decades.
This was in part from the rapid population growth that China experienced, but the speculation grew even further than that.
Because housing prices just kept increasing year after year, the majority of Chinese citizens could no longer afford a standard house or apartment in cities like Beijing and Shanghai.
The logical move would be to purchase a property within the vicinity of the cities but far enough so that prices would be cheap.
And that’s exactly what many citizens did.

People began flocking toward houses and apartments not in Chinese cities, but rather 10 or 15 miles away.
Because of the increasing demand for houses near cities, prices began to increase, leading citizens to expand even further away from the cities.
Property developers believed that this expansion would continue, so they preemptively built houses further and further out.
Nowadays, if you drive an hour or two outside of Beijing or Shanghai, you’ll notice something very strange.
There are plenty of modern buildings in great condition, but there’s one issue: there’s nobody there.
Those cities are named the ghost cities, because the only reason why they exist is because speculators think prices will increase.
This is a testament to China's growing real estate bubble, a significant driver of the country’s economy.

For instance, take a look at China’s most renowned ghost town, Ordos New Town. The city was expected to house one million people, but that number went down to 300,000 and finally to 100,000 in 2016.
Only after moving top schools into the city, was Ordos New Town able to fill its empty houses.
These types of empty units are so widespread that the aggregate amount of space can literally house the entire country of Italy.
After 20 years of appreciation, the Chinese real estate sector is now worth over $50 trillion, two times more than the US and almost four times more than China’s entire GDP.
Loomis Sayles, an investment management firm, estimated that 70% of China’s entire wealth is in real estate.

In China, it’s not atypical to see citizens put aside money for decades just to purchase one property.
Property prices near cities are so high relative to income that even after years of saving, citizens will have no choice but to rely on mortgages to afford shelter.

Evergrande is one of the largest real estate developers in the world.

Trudeau acted on some bad advice about his problem with some trucks, and the people that he thought he owned.

This bad advice led silly Justin to target even small amounts of money in Canadian banks of the truckers who are giving him **** for being a real dickhead.

It’s not Justin who is the problem, nor the truckers. It is the Chinese kids who put all their money into Canadian banks.

You see, Chinese kids don’t trust their own government to not steal from them via bank appropriation of funds. They used to put their money into near by locations, such as Singapore, Australia, or to a lesser extent, New Zealand. Problems arose there as we all know. Thus over these last several years, there has been a gradual, increasing, and steady, capital flow from China, via several routes, to Canadian banks.

All was good. Then silly Justin did EXACTLY as the Chinese government so frequently does, he declared ‘seizure’ on private funds. Ironically, this is the one thing the Chinese kids thought could never happen in Peaceful, Law Abiding, Canada.

This seizure of private funds, even the speaking of it, has made the Chinese kids nervous. Not just them. Large capital funds managers are sitting there looking at the screen saying ‘hmmmmm…..’ in a not good way.

So now Capital must move from Canada.

But to where?

The traditional, albeit temporary, havens of Ukraine, and other money laundering hubs are very tightly closed due to the general breakdown of the World Economic Forum ‘Great Reset’ plan.

Now what?

The Capital Conundrum, in our present, unsettled world, is where to go?

The consensus will emerge over this next month, as larger chunks of the financial system fall off, to move to cryptos. There are signs that the Chinese kids have already started, even though their government forbids it.

"On Jan. 21, around 9:00 p.m., when the film “Unsilenced” was just finishing in Hall 10 of Cinemark in Fairfax County, Virginia, the audience stayed motionless in their seats. Ten seconds, 20 seconds, even 30 seconds passed … no one spoke or stood up as the screen kept scrolling with the cast’s names. Some were wiping away tears, apparently unable to pull themselves from the story so soon.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently watched the movie in the same theater. He called the film “a moving, honest, scathing indictment of the CCP [Chinese Communist Party].”

“The truth of Xi & his predecessors’ utter depravity & the power-driven horrors they’ve inflicted cannot be denied,” he wrote on Twitter and encouraged people to watch it. “This movie unsilences the wonderful Chinese people.”



In theaters in Mesa, Arizona, and in Raleigh, North Carolina, the audience gave a standing ovation at the end of the movie.

“Unsilenced” has since its debut on Jan. 21 been released in 30 U.S. cities, including New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Philadelphia, and San Diego. So far, the showtimes have been extended for another week until Feb. 3.

Canadian filmmaker Leon Lee presents a story of two couples of Chinese college students, who risked their lives to reveal the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) appalling persecution of peaceful Falun Gong adherents. With the help of a Chicago journalist, they successfully unearth the CCP’s dehumanizing abuses to the international community.

Falun Gong is a spiritual practice that features three core tenets of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance, along with five slow-moving exercises. After it was made public in 1992, its following in China grew to an estimated 70 million to 100 million people in 1999. The CCP, deeming the practice’s popularity a threat, then launched a nationwide campaign to eradicate it.

The production is based on actual events in connection with practitioner Wang Weiyu, a gifted graduate of China’s Tsinghua University. Wang experienced torture, including hours of electrocution by electric baton, during eight and half years’ imprisonment in Beijing for refusing to give up his belief in Falun Gong. In 2013, he fled communist China and joined his family in the United States.New York-based screenwriter Maximilian Kempf described “Unsilenced” as a “legal thriller,” which kept the audience always questioning in their mind.

“You know, it always makes you want to question,” Kempf said in an interview with The Epoch Times. “You’re at the edge of your seat throughout the movie.”

He said the movie is highly professional in terms of the graphics, the music, the act, and especially the narrative. Even the torture scenes were handled in a tasteful way, said the screenwriter.

At the same time, he highlighted its Western perspective, which appeals to the international audience. He said that the production carries humanity and compassion, which is a universal value.

“So I’d encourage people to go to the website that the movie is based on,” said the screenwriter. “This movie needs a lot more publicity, hopefully.”

“In many ways, I was attracted to this film,” Margarita Marin-Dale, a retired professor and a human rights lawyer, told The Epoch Times after she watched the show with her two sons. “Because I’m very concerned about individual liberties, freedom of religion, freedom of speech. I think it shows how difficult and conflicting it is for people to stand up for the truth.”She said, “I think that this movie brings attention to the oppressive nature of the regime in China, even though China is doing … economically very well.”

Moreover, she heaped praise on Falun Gong believers for their bravery shown in standing up to the Chinese totalitarian regime. “And as Americans who believe in democracy and freedom, I think we should be very supportive of them,” said the rights lawyer.

She was also convinced that the Chinese communist regime is doomed to failure. “It’s like a pot of boiling water,” she said. “But eventually it will explode if you keep on holding the lid down. So, it’s very important that freedom prevails.”

The movie also captivated her two sons William Dale and Philip Dale.

“It felt like you were really there,” said William Dale. “I definitely shed a few tears during the film. That was very emotional.” His brother Philip Dale commented, “I love how it portrays the humanity of all the characters in the situation.”

Mary Lien Nguyen is a retired IT specialist who had worked in the Federal government for nearly 30 years. She fled Vietnam and moved to the United States in 1979.

She told The Epoch Times the show moved her to tears.

As an immigrant from communist Vietnam, Nguyen said she knows how terrible communists are. She accused the CCP of concealing the truth about Falun Gong and trying every means to silence fearless whistleblowers, like the college students in the movie.

She warned that Communists try to destroy humanity. She said that is a terrible thing for her, and she hoped that the truth told in the show would spread to the entire world.



Positive audience reviews abound on social media.

“My young son and I saw this incredible film today,” said an internet user named Kerry Debois. “It’s my deepest hope every person goes to see this important and very well done movie. I was gripped the entire time.”

A viewer by the name of Karen Evanek left a message, “The abundance of anonymity in the credits is stunning. May they/you all remain safe.”

There is a post from Iris Neal, reading that “Just saw this powerful eye-opening film today. … I will recommend it highly. … Sad that so many involved with production had to be ‘anonymous.'”

A parent calling herself Hawa Agnes-Hass said, “I’m taking my husband and kids to see this movie as a family! My kids have to understand what is happening in my America.”

“Unsilenced” was the Audience Award Winner at the Austin Film Festival in 2021. And on Jan. 25 it gained nomination by The Political Film Society as the best film on human rights as well as the best film exposé for 2022.

Leon Lee also directed the documentary “Human Harvest” (2014), which exposed the CCP’s removal and sale of organs from prisoners of conscience, who are mainly Falun Gong detainees. The film was broadcast in more than 25 countries and won the Peabody Award in April 2015."

"While many countries around the world have largely recovered from the covid-19 outbreak, a new wave of the outbreak, caused by a mutated strain of Omicron, is spreading rapidly in mainland China. The Communist government continues to adhere to its extreme "Zeroing out" policy that has been in place since the beginning of the outbreak, and after the city-wide lockdown of Shenzhen and Dongguan in Guangdong from March 14, Shanghai officially announced on the evening of March 27 that the city would be locked down in batches from March 28 at 5:00 pm, using the Huangpu River as the boundary. From 3am on April 1 to 3am on April 5, the whole area will be closed for 4 days, during which two full-scale nucleic acid tests will be conducted.

During the lockdown period, all residents and communities were managed in a restricted manner, with only entry and no exit, and all residents must stay in their homes except to go downstairs for nucleic acid testing. At the same time, all public transportation, including subways, ferries and taxis, were closed, and all production were restricted, and all office workers were forced to work from home. This cosmopolitan city of 25 million people came to a semi-standstill.

In early March, a new wave of outbreak occurred in Shanghai and some residential communities have been classified as medium to high risk for lockdown management. At a press conference on March 26, Wu Fan, an expert on Shanghai's Epidemic Prevention and Control Board, stressed that the city would not be locked down, saying that if the city stopped its operations, there would be many more international cargo ships floating on the East China Sea, because “Shanghai is not only of the Shanghai people, but also of the whole country.
