Mile-wide Asteroid 7335 (1989 JA), Largest Yet of 2022, Flies Safely by Earth





A mile-wide asteroid passed by Earth on Friday (May 27) at a distance about 10 times that of the space between the Earth and moon.

The asteroid, known as asteroid 7335 (1989 JA), is roughly four times the size of the Empire State Building and is the largest yet to pass by our planet in 2022.

At its closest, the asteroid was 2.5 million miles (4 million kilometers) away and it posed no threat to our planet, despite its large size of 1.1 miles (1.8 km) across. It was bright enough to see in moderate-sized telescopes.

Improving tracking of these relatively small asteroids means we are getting better at catching any potential impacts before they happen, which is why it seems like there are so many space rocks going by us these days.

Private First Class Dovell Engram was the first to spot the UFO


Three former US cavalrymen have come forward claiming they saw a UFO while serving in the Sinai Desert on the Israel/Egypt border. They say their superiors told them to keep quiet about what they saw in December 2014.

Sergeant Travis Bingham, E4 Specialist Vishal Singh, and Private First Class Dovell Engram, were all stationed near the south end of the border, when they saw eight bright objects hovering and zipping across the sky at incredible speeds. 

The trio are all trained in identifying aircraft and they believe the objects they witnessed were of non-human origin. 

'I was scared s***less,' admitted Engram.

Looks like that Fond du Lac UFO video disappeared. Too bad. Those that caught it know it was one of the stranger ones to appear in these pages. Oh well, just like in real life. They come and they go.

Eyewitness:

May 17, 2022, Chofu City, Tokyo. While shooting the night view of Shinjuku from Chofu City, I found a UFO that splits into two from one light. One light split into two and disappeared as it was.
