I posted this story before awhile back, but Dave Too was just asking on the other thread about animals, if we think insects aren't magical.

I think fireflies are definitely magical, and here's why:
I used to know someone named Angelique who lived in my area and was in my women's group, though I've lost touch with her now.
She told me about a friend of hers who was a kind of Fairy Whisperer.
Her friend invited a circle of women to come to her land one evening, and she took them outside to a special place.
She told them that the fairies had promised to create a display that evening, and had asked her to bring some friends to spectate.
Soon the fireflies began to appear, and then from behind a tree, a perfect line of fireflies created a circle in the air near the women, and then flew back the way they had come and dispersed. I like to imagine that each firefly had a fairy on its back, directing it to help form the perfect circle with its fellow fireflies. 🧚♀️🧚🧚♂️
