Do we have a way of monitoring exactly what is going on at CERN through these kinds of events/activities with the sun? or are we fully reliant of what they want to tell us ?

If the Sun is on the brink of shooting matter at us, a tweak in the Earth's magnetic characteristics at the right moment could be all it takes to tip it over that brink.
