"The Hessdalen Phenomena", 47 min.

Hessdalen is a small valley in the central part of Norway. At the end of 1981 through 1984, residents of the Valley became concerned and alarmed about strange, unexplained lights that appeared at many locations throughout the Valley. Hundreds of lights were observed. At the peak of activity there were about 20 reports a week. As no official institute with governmental support in Norway seemed to be interested in these strange lights, five individual researchers began their own research project in 1983: Project Hessdalen. A field investigation was carried out between 21.January and 26.February 1984. Fifty-three light observations were made during the field investigation. Lights are still being observed in the Hessdalen Valley, but their frequency has decreased to about 20 observations a year. An automatic measurement station was put up in Hessdalen in August 1998.

If you don't mind my being honest here, we could have done with a lot more information about them, such as:

-Exact title of video.
-YouTube or Google Video link. (These pages usually feature a description and plenty of user comments to help us decide if the video is really one for us to watch or download.)
-Description and preferably your own assessment of it. The more detail you can spare, the better.
-The running time.
-Some info about the producer.

As far as I'm concerned, if a video is worth watching, it's worth downloading first and then watching. I hate watching videos online that keep stalling while waiting for the buffer to be refilled. Since you did not include the actual URL, it took me considerable time to locate the original download page. Well, here are my comments and extra info about the ones that interested me, for what they're worth.

My assessment: Ben Stewart ploughs through the same stuff that Jordan Maxwell does, in fact I suspect he plagiarized much of Maxwell's original research. Still, if you haven't seen this before, you will probably enjoy it as long as you don't jump to some of its unwarranted conclusions.

I've never liked Kymatica much and find it so long-winded and irritating I've never been able to bring myself to finish it. It's OK for the younger generation who are still finding themselves and need some soul searching, but for more mature viewers it comes across as pompous bovine scatology.

I'm not a skeptic on these subjects but this is rubbish. For a start the guy isn’t suggesting how things may be hes insisting his version of life is fact. Based on what? a few clever ideas strung together from 1000?s of years of speculation on a subject we are no closer to understanding now than when the first guy claimed he knew something that no one else did.

Also how old is this guy? if he’s as young as he sounds then this is not his research its his speculation based on stuff he’s read about and if this is the case he has no right insisting that what he’s saying is fact.

Just because the guy has manged to come up with a story that sounds agreeable to you its no reason to believe what he is saying. Remember facts can allays be proven, if he cant prove what hes saying he has no right presenting his story as a fact.

Yeah, this doco has its good points and bad points.

The good: interesting quotes here and there, some interesting speculations, liked the interview with the doctor part – it was interesting…

The bad: very scattered, mixed in a lot conspiracies for no reason – outside that that’s what the author thinks and he feels like he uncovered some loop hole, the “sheep” (meaning the general population or the audience) don’t quite see – but he does… ahem.
Leaving aside the arrogance of this twenty something year old though, those side tracks like identity/ admiral law/ name changes and so on, really, only detracted from the point which he was making.

Last, and perhaps most important, he should define what his definition of freedom and its use in a good society is supposed to look like. Is he really serious that we should be returning to a shaman/ Aztec way of life? is that really freedom? happiness? why exactly?
Otherwise it just feels like “a rebel without a cause”… i.e. he wants to rebel against the leaders, but with no alternative in sight and no explanation why anarchy is better for humanity vs democracy.

Good attempt though. Future docos should insert more humility and a balanced perspective. Drop ‘the oracle’ type of narration too ;-)

He never said that this was fact, he presented it as fact, but also said that it’s all information. There’s no good or bad information, just information. Take it like you want to.

This film is a masterpiece. He presents to you what he have found out through his research (Exactly the same conclusion I have made of my research) You don’t have to take his information as facts, do your own research. But don’t discredit the messenger, if you don’t listen to the message.

What is the message? The message basically is, that you should look inside yourself, in order to change what you don’t like in others. Psychology 101: The reason you don’t like other people sometimes, can always be linked back to your own subconscious and which parts of you that you either suppress or don’t want to recognize, because that’s a part of you that you either don’t like or haven’t developed yet, and probably feel a unconscious jealousy about this fact.

Get to know yourself, and try to grow from what you learn, know your fears and overcome them, know your values and question whether they are there to help you grow or to stop you learning about yourself. The defense mechanism from immature people who are to afraid to discover sides about themselves through personal growth, is typically ridicule, cynicism, exaggerated skepticism, jealousy, hate, fear, etc. All ways to block yourself from learning the truth of your heart.

Ben Stewart, like Jordan Maxwell, had a Roman Catholic upbringing (well, what did you expect?)
He discusses The Esoteric Agenda - ancient civilizations, Old Testament, endtimes etc.
This is only the (free) first hour (but frankly, that's enough)
The interview is interesting if you have watched Esoteric Agenda, are unfamiliar with the material he covers, or need to be brought up to speed. At least he acknowledges Jordan Maxwell's work.

Unhappily, Ben doesn't display much deep scholarship and makes obvious errors, such as at 39:25 when he states "Colours are literally just vibrations of sound". Color is the perception of an electromagnetic wave, sound the perception of an acoustic pressure wave. Unperturbed by this, he then asserts that as the frequency drops, "The sound eventually becomes inaudible and eventually gets detected with our eyes"*(!) Makes you wonder, what else did he get wrong?

Groundbreaking, Feature-Length Doc

This Canadian-produced documentary feature film directed by Mark Achbar & Jennifer Abbott is one of the best to come around in a long time. Here is a review by Kenneth Chisholm:

"Since the late 18th century American legal decision that the business corporation organizational model is legally a person, it has become a dominant economic, political and social force around the globe. This film takes an in-depth psychological examination of the organization model through various case studies. In 1994, Assistant professor Erling Strand, the founder of the Hessdalen project, conducted together with assistant professor Bjørn Gitle Hauge, Østfold University College Norway, the first international congress of the Hessdalen phenomena. This congress attracted 28 scientists from all over the world and boosted the scientific research in Hessdalen. Statements from the congress indicated that explanation of the phenomena could lead to new concepts in physics. This congress also started the collaboration between Østfold University College in Norway and CNR in Italy. In 1999, Dr. Stelio Montebugnoli and assistant professor Bjørn Gitle Hauge started the EMBLA project, with the purpose of studying the electromagnetic radiation and behavior of the Hessdalen phenomena.
