I clipped this out of a DVD ripped movie. ( youtube has already told me it's copyright restricted, but not a strike on my account, just blocked in Austria and Germany. It should be viewable in UK and US, and everywhere else, I guess ).

I was experimenting/learning with video software because I'm trying to get some video making skills under my belt. I have ideas and ambitions in that direction if I can master the grunt work. This particular rendering is a FAIL, it plays straight without the extra width expansion it should have. I need to go back and do it again when I can work out what I need to do to make the correct playback width.

For a 1980s movie, it was very accurate about where the world was heading.

This use to be a funny thread, mostly. Now it’s mostly about fear mongering while mocking. Still a therapy, but kind of twisted. Laughing is healthy, but loving laughter is better. In today's world, memes can be effective arms in the ongoing red-pill-awakening of at least some of the sleepers, in my view.

I realize that's not a primary need for many/most Avalon members, but here we can share, evaluate, and appreciate the intelligence, humor, and effectiveness of many of the current mind-pokers.

Here's a revisit of Mark's initial post for this thread

I thought a thread for just memes would be a good idea. We are in the midst of what many call "an information war". Memes are playing a big role on the front line, on social media particularly and other platforms. They don't always shift perceptions, that's not what they're really for, but they do have the power to make someone ask a question that they wouldn't have asked before. Memes are a potent tool in the modern truther's arsenal.

However, steer clear of anything overtly political, or potentially divisive. Nothing crude or offensive either. Keep to those memes that comment on trends, lifestyle, and society in general, whether positive or negative, humorous or insightful: something that speaks to you that you want to share.

Reviewing that post, I question how you can participate effectively in an information war without coming close to crossing a few of these lines, though I do try to abide by those rules, particularly when other threads may be the best location for political posts.

However, steer clear of anything overtly political, or potentially divisive. Nothing crude or offensive either.

Subjective I agree.

For a wonderful, positive, good-vibes thread, with lots of smiles, Animals are Magical fills the bill for me.
