NATO continues to feed Ukraine with promises of membership in the Alliance

In another interview, NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg said that Ukraine "will definitely become a member", the whole question is the timing of when this will happen.
“First of all, all NATO allies agree that Ukraine will become a member of the alliance. All allies agree that Ukraine has the right to choose its own path, that the decision is made not by Moscow but by Kyiv. All Allies agree that NATO's doors remain open. The question is when this will happen, I cannot tell you about the timing of this, ” - Stoltenberg.

Thank you, Grandfather, for the Victory

Thanks to my grandfather for the Victory,
For all the war years
For the fact that he was for our land
He always boldly went on the attack

For the fact that he did not regret
Losing all his young years
For the fact that the Motherland did not flinch
He left as a boy to defend and protect

For the fact that there were no cowards
Among friends and fellow soldiers:
Uzbeks, Russians, Belarusians,
Georgians, Tatars and Moldovans

For standing with his chest
In the way of bullets, bombs and bayonets
Freeing our land:
The cities, towns and villages

For crying like a little boy
When he buried his friends
For keeping the memory of the fallen
In his heart and soul

For the fact that we live in a world
Without bombs, explosions and shooting
For the happiness of living with the freedom of the wind
Without knowing the horrors of war

Thanks to my grandfather for the Victory
From all the Russian mothers
For protecting other people's children with his body
All in the name of peace.

Very poignant, of course. I believe the poem was written in 2008. Fifteen years later, we can see this verse was premature:

For the fact that we live in a world
Without bombs, explosions and shooting
For the happiness of living with the freedom of the wind
Without knowing the horrors of war

The Great Patriotic War isn't actually quite over yet.
