    Lightbulb Conspiracy Memes Poll 2023

    • Conspiracy Memes Poll 2023 (more than 1 vote is possible!)
In your view, how good are conspiracy memes?

How much % of them are legit and do full justice to what is claimed?

Do you think some memes are "half-truth" conspiracy memes designed to make it go viral giving "fact-checkers" sites a reason to flag you all by design (all planned that way!) thus many people may lose their social media accounts because of it?

Are you aware that not everybody understands sarcasm & satire >>> thus some of the hilarious conspiracy-memes are used as "evidence" to show how "bad" we suppose to be because they took it literally ... not getting the joke ... or they willfully act stupid/dumb to troll us back!

How much % of all conspiracy memes add correct source links? (give your guess/estimation of your own experience).

Framing genuine conspiracy researchers with (fake) conspiracy memes that supposedly represent them that are full of dis-info/mis-info seems to be a rapid growing trend ... Do you see this too?

Is it possible that people are judged by the (gullible) memes they spread? Thus not helping the cause but making it worse?

On a positive note, there are powerful conspiracy memes that exposes certain issues/topics mainstream pushed narratives perfectly with the necessary source links added to go to.

Have you ever considered making some new unique conspiracy memes yourself the correct way? ... If so, please share it with us here ... we love to see your new ideas.

    cheers,

Memes are the spawn of low attention span. And they really aren't new and certainly not improved. Editorial cartoons have been around for centuries. The meme is just an electronic version.

I might argue that memes are much lower in quality than the editorial cartoon. I voted that they are over-rated. There is an abundance and the quality I find is typically lower calibre.

I am not easily amused to begin with. Which is part of the point of the meme; not really to inform, but to amuse. I mean, if the meme was intended to inform, the consumer is indeed of low calibre intellect.

As an artist I have created a few memes, especially so since late 2019 poking fun at the insane COVID narratives. I've had memes go viral to the extent where I received online death threats ( Quite a few years back on Twitter) when one meme ( a flight disappearance conspiracy) somehow reached some South American news outlets. I quickly closed that social media account soon afterwards.

Any memes (or similar) that I create and post on the net I tend to use a online pseudonym nowadays. I often use these memes as experimental trials/concepts and these methods to inform my art practice which I can develop into more substantial projects if the meme is deemed 'successful'.

The use of memes is a one a few topics I'm currently researching in my (practice base art) PhD subject of Superconspiracy and Time-based Media.

    • My Personal Speculation (Motivation) Assessments:
If ... let's say 1% to 5% of all uninformed "common" people** who watched/shared controversial (suppressed news) memes decided to dig deeper, doing more research in a controversial meme countering the mass brainwashing mainstream pushed narrative (like during the Mass COVID Hysteria 2020-2021) >>> maybe even bought a book like this one or a documentary because of it.
    • That alone is for me reason enough, it is 100% worth the effort ... and having fun at the same time! ... Believe it or not, I have a degree in marketing and know how NLP techniques are used, also how humor to superior to "sell an idea" far more effective strategy to reach millions of the "common people" when done properly.
In my view, when people are overly fanatically serious, you have far less chance of uninformed "common" people willing to investigate what you have to offer.

On top of that, WHY do you think they take so much effort to censor particular Mega Viral Memes and creating "similar memes" that are proven to be "half-truths" so that they can accuse anyone that shares similar but more correct versions all together using A.I. censor algorithms connected to totally corrupt "authoritarian" gate-keeping "fact-checkers" sites serving all big social media platforms where people getting falsely accused thus flagged eventually resulting in losing their accounts!

** 1% to 3% of all uninformed "common" people have friends & family who may get triggered/inspired by the 1% to 3% to dig deeper that is beyond the mass conditioning and thus eventually end up resisting the tunnel vision (mass brainwashing) narratives sold as "the only choice" >>> all because of a well done "marketing effective" meme that went viral

Who do you think runs the interactive internet activities which target forums just like this.
Memes are a critical part of psychological warfare and black arts in this context, look at the election of Obama and the memes used there.
They are used as psychological force multipliers typically when the state department has decided it needs a humanitarian crisis in order to facilitate the acquisition of a nations resources like Tibet. My sources are myself and the unimpeachable work of William engdahl; full spectrum dominance
Also study the memes used by the us led coup on Ukraine in 2012, in which the state department (Victoria nuland) was literally handing out cookies.
A good source is shadowgate by millie weaver, it shows how memes are created and used to create the appearance of real online activity through misattribution of source.

    • Of course, memes can be weaponized to have an evil agenda ... so is "free speech"!

Everytime you post that cookie cutter response I relapse into pure copium oxide speculation about your motives being anything other than egoic will set out to one up people using the English language in a legalise-esque fashion. That being said dear johnny boy, I find memes brilliant and I love them. I have refrained from exposing my memes here on Avalon due to their incendiary contents being beyond the handle of the average avalonian.

Edit. This is quite obviously banter I agree with john, to make up for my assault on the forum I will be donating money every month as penance for my heretical sins

I am disabled both mentally and physically i have to learn just to get through the average day and my support network is dying before my eyes so i feel your pain john. i love the dutch nature in general, but culture in particular. For example the dutch have eaten one of their prime ministers i believe.

EDIT: the problem with British/Dutch discourse is that the English use a VERY codified version of english based on the region they're from that isnt generally accessible to outsiders much like Dutch, also fun fact: Holland/NL was the first capatalist country, and Britain was the second..

I will soon search for, and share FAKE WANNABE MEMES created by mainstream narratives elsewhere to show how they operate in framing genuine conspiracy researchers and use it to make "counter memes" that not only neutralizes & exposes their bogus assumptions, insinuations, accusations etc. >>> but also educate others how to use honest discernment skills without the need to use any deceptions and/or deceptive tactics like they do!

I would say certain memes are created by military PSYOP groups, but since I myself am a civilian and I have made memes of course not all memes.

I found this paper as evidence that the military is involved in memes

Title: Memetics--A Growth Industry in US Military Operations
    Descriptive Note: Master's thesis
Corporate Author: MARINE CORPS UNIV QUANTICO VA SCHOOL OF ADVANCED WARFIGHTING (SAW)
    Quote

Abstract: Tomorrows US military must approach war fighting with an alternate mindset that is prepared to leverage all elements of national power to influence the ideological spheres of future enemies by engaging them with alternate means--memes--to gain advantage.
    Defining memes.
Memes are units of cultural transmission, or a unit of imitation, and as ideas become means to attack ideologies. Meme-warfare enters into the hotly contested battlefields inside the minds of our enemies and particularly inside the minds of the undecided.
Formations charged with Information Operations IO Psychological Operations PsyOps, and Strategic Communications SC provide an existing construct for memes and the study of memes, memetics, to grow and mature into an accepted doctrinal discipline. Epidemiology of insurgency ideology. Using the analogy that ideologies possess the same theoretical characteristics as a disease particularly as complex adaptive systems, then a similar method and routine can andshould be applied to combating them. Memes can and should be used like medicine to inoculate the enemy and generate popular support.

Private sector meme application. 3M Corporation employed an innovation meme designed to cultivate an employee culture, which accepts and embraces innovation in product development. As a practical matter, 3M executives endorsed and employed the lead user process in new product development, which translated into a thirty percent profit increase. The innovation meme was key to 3Ms profit increase.

The proposed Meme Warfare Center MWC.
The MWC as a staff organization has the primary mission to advise the Commander on meme generation, transmission, coupled with a detailed analysis on enemy, friendly and noncombatant populations.

    CONCLUSION
: Cognitive scientists, cultural anthropologists, behavior scientists, and game theory experts must be included as professional meme-wielding-gunfighters on future battlefields. The US must recognize the growing need for emerging disciplines in ideological warfare by ‘weaponeering’ memes. The Meme Warfare Center offers sophisticated and intellectually rich capability absent in current IO, PsyOps and SC formations and is specifically designed to conduct combat inside the mind of the enemy. Memes are key emerging tools to win the ideological metaphysical fight .

Memes are part of the pentagons doctrine of full spectrum dominance Weaponised in every sense of the word, they test this technology from time to time and after a while you can see them a mile off. From colour revolutions to viral trends that transcend logic in their distribution.

All memes? Any source links corroborating your claim, we can study?
Exchanges like the above speak volumes, not on a personal level mind you but on a general psychological level.

    1) Memes that support an agenda. Good / acceptable
    2) Memes that are counter or do not support an agenda. Baaaaad/ harmful
    3) Memes, too simplistic? Sure, they can be. It's the reader who has to do the deep diving. (RE: "A picture is worth a thousand words.") Books, Videos, Pictures, Memes etc., ALL are absolutely worthless unless the reader does their own thinking.

And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour. - William Blake

In the end it's not the writer/ poster that makes the difference. It's the reader, the reader who actually thinks about what they've read, seen, or heard.

Quote from a different forum thread but 100% related:
    • "My Personal Speculation (Motivation) Assessments:
If ... let's say 1% to 3% of all uninformed "common" people** who watched/shared controversial (suppressed news) memes decided to dig deeper, doing more research in a controversial meme countering the mass brainwashing mainstream pushed narratives (like during the Mass COVID Hysteria 2020-2021) >>> maybe even bought a book like this one or a documentary because of it.

** 1% to 3% of all uninformed "common" people have friends & family who may get triggered/inspired by the 1% to 3% to dig deeper that is beyond the mass conditioning and thus eventually end up resisting the tunnel vision (mass brainwashing) narrative sold as "the only choice" >>> all because of a well done "marketing effective" meme that went viral

(Ah-hah! I found the home for this.)

This is a good topic, John.

Memes are great. There are no rules for memes. Just as there can be no rules for free speech. Memes are just another way of communicating a thought, idea, message. Political memes can be used for benevolent purposes or malevolent purposes just like anything else. Since anyone can make a meme, there is no "quality control". I'm always heavily disappointed in the spelling errors on an otherwise great meme and won't share a meme with a typo lol (unless it's a cat meme, for example, and the typo is part of the joke). I always prefer well-intentioned, clever, uplifting memes with humor and/or sarcasm in them. Forget depressing, horrific memes. The world sucks enough as it is. What's the point of a meme if it can't lift you up and make you chuckle.

Knowing the difference between "enemy" memes and "friendly" memes comes with experience. It's usually not that hard to figure out so long as you have some curiosity about the world and question everything. All in all, I'd say that memes -- political or otherwise -- help to expand our awareness and keep us on our toes.

    Cheers!
