Yes, Trump = Tiberius Gracchus. I make the same comparison here in telling the story of Gracchus:

I believe it's important we acknowledge the eery historical precedent here, and understand it. So many of the conditions are the same. Trump and Gracchus could even be one and the same individual -- who knows!?

The fight of Gracchus was to end corruption and restore the Republic of old. In attempting that, he went up against Rome's most powerful forces, who only had their best interests at heart -- not the peoples'. Gracchus became a persona non grata; he was persecuted (by the state) and then assassinated. This very moment led, ultimately, to the downfall of the Roman Republic.

History doesn't necessarily repeat, but it does rhyme. And that is happening right in front of us.

We can only hope our modern-day Gracchus succeeds where his ancient counterpart did not.

The meme shared on Truth Social 4.8k times shows the former president's police picture modified with a flurry of pistols pointed at his head, each emblazoned with words representing his apparent enemies.

Illustrating the 77-year-old's narrative that he is under fire from corrupt, politically-motivated authorities who want to sabotage his 2024 White House bid, the guns are branded with words like 'Soros', 'pedophiles', 'Democrats' and 'fake news'.

Other firearms say 'indictment', 'globalists', 'fascists', 'deep state' and 'FBI', while the words 'NEVER SURRENDER! WE STAND UNITED WITH TRUMP!' frame the image.

Trump re-posted it on his self-created social media platform not long after he made history by becoming the first former president to pose for a mugshot.

Although I am 100% against the ongoing not-even-trying-to-be constitutional persecutions of DT; I regard him as a thoroughly discredited man.

First because of his Presidential support of the global totalitarian coup that was Covid and the not-vax campaign. Undoes and overwhelms whatever other achievements (and he completely failed to deliver the twho key campaign promises: build a wall and drain the swamp). Never acknowledged, nor repented.

Secondly - after initially bravely challenging the obviously-fake election - for his gross failure of courage, submissiveness and selfishness in relation to the Jan 6th (non) events. Crawling away and saving his own skin, to leave his supporters in the mire.

Having failed so badly where it most mattered first time round, and seemingly learned nothing from the experience; it amazes me that so people expect DT would be capable of more in a second term, which - of course - he will not be allowed to have anyway.

A case of desperate grasping at straws. Given the horrible alternative; it is understandable maybe that so many yearn to be rescued by a strong leader... But, really, people should know better by now.

i do agree with the shortcomings you mention, but given the circumstances, I'll give a pass. For now.

This time around (if by some act of catching lightening in a bottle he breaks up the Big Cheat and gets re-elected), it's going to have to be the people who stand up to criminal cabal of corrupted globalists and their lapdog media tying his limbs with weights and chain. It can't just be on one man. We all have to say NO. To all of them.
