Only 5% of covid cases were smokers, counter to what was expected.

There has been some quite surprising recoveries after chewing nicotine gum. Some in as little as 45 minutes! But most over a period of days.

I'm wondering what dosage of Ivermectin they were using? I have heard that increasing the dosage to even three times the normal dose has had the desired effect.

I only bring up the gum because you say she has tried everything. Here's one more thing...but that's assuming they have tried all the proper treatments first. The gum is a last resort.

Also, it is only a suggestion and I am not an expert by any measure.
So, a caution must be issued.
Try at your own risk only.

I tried to get an Ivermectin prescription from some of my local doctors in 2021 to prevent covid. They refused, in fact they looked scared, and tried to convince me to take the covid jab. In Canada many doctors who have been prescribing Ivermectin for covid have been terribly persecuted by their medical associations. This is disgusting.

I'll never take any covid jab, and now avoid health care completely. Trust in the establishment medical system is gone.

Eventually, I did get the veterinary type of Ivermectin. In November 2021, when many reportedly became severely sick with covid's 'delta' variant, I took this Ivermectin one evening because I experienced the beginning of cold symptoms. Went to bed. Woke up the next morning feeling completely fine, cold symptoms all gone. Ivermectin is an anti-viral that might work with various type of viruses.

But I would prefer to get the Ivermectin pills for humans. I hear that some USA states have made it legal for doctors to prescribe Ivermectin for covid. As a Canadian, I wonder if it would be possible to buy Ivermectin from them. How would that work? Is Ivermectin only produced in Asian countries? Aren't there any labs producing it in USA or Canada?

I am on a course of Ivermectin right now, as I've started a new job and I don't know what kind of people are around me - vaxxers?

I was starting to feel run down so I'm taking one pill for three days. My wife also, of course.

I got my pills from India. It took three weeks to arrive. No problems except with payment - they refuse Paypal. So I used Wise, now called something else...can you even trust a company that decides to change its name for no apparent reason? I don't know, but I did get my pills. Then I cancelled my mandatory Wise account, and changed my bank card.

Appeals Court Sides With Doctors on Ivermectin for COVID-19:‘FDA Is Not a Physician’
    Matthew Lysiak
    Sep 2 2023
    https://www.theepochtimes.com/health...kwTLoYL97Fo%3D

"A federal appeals court in New Orleans ruled on Friday that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had overstepped its authority in their ruling that three doctors will be able to move forward with their lawsuit over the use of ivermectin off-label to treat COVID-19.

Dr. Mary Talley Bowden, one of three doctors who initially filed the charges, trumpeted the ruling as a victory for not only the truth, but patient rights.

“The FDA misled the public into thinking it has more authority than it does,” Dr. Bowden, a practitioner and founder of Coalition of Health Freedom, told The Epoch Times. “This decision confirms that the FDA is not your doctor and has no authority to tell doctors how to practice medicine.”

Judge Don Willett wrote for the three person panel that also included Jennifer Walker Elrod and Edith Brown Clement. “The Doctors have plausibly alleged that FDA’s Posts fell on the wrong side of the line between telling about and telling to.”

“FDA is not a physician. It has authority to inform, announce, and apprise—but not to endorse, denounce, or advise. The Doctors have plausibly alleged that FDA’s Posts fell on the wrong side of the line between telling about and telling to. As such, the Doctors can use the APA to assert their ultra vires claims against the Agencies and the Officials.”

The anti-ivermectin messaging put out by FDA officials also drew the ire of Judge Willett, who wrote that “Left unmentioned in most of that messaging: ivermectin also comes in a human version. And while the human version of ivermectin is not FDA-approved to treat the coronavirus, some people were using it off-label for that purpose.”

In the ruling social media posts made by the agency were cited as evidence, citing that “Even tweet-sized doses of personalized medical advice are beyond FDA’s statutory authority,” he wrote.

The FDA on Aug. 21, 2021, wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y’all. Stop it.”

The National Institutes of Health COVID treatment guidelines recommend against using ivermectin for COVID treatment, citing a purported lack of evidence supporting its effectiveness. Other studies have found ivermectin to be effective.

The lawsuit was initially filed in June 2022 by Dr. Bowden, Drs. Robert L. Apter, and Paul E. Marik for interfering with both their authority to prescribe an approved medication and the doctor-patient relationship. All three alleged their reputations were harmed by the FDA campaign. Dr. Bowden lost admitting privileges at a Texas hospital while Dr. Marik alleged he lost his jobs at a medical school and at a hospital for promoting the use of ivermectin.

The ruling comes as a blow to the FDA. The agency had argued that the case should not be allowed to move forward, claiming that the complaints didn’t overcome the FDA’s “sovereign immunity,” which protects government entities from many civil lawsuits regarding their responsibilities.

The FDA did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The refusal of pharmacists nationwide to fill prescriptions for ivermectin has become a hot-button issue, raising questions over medical autonomy and who ultimately has control over patient care.

Ivermectin has been around for decades but became the center of controversy in 2020 after medical opinion became divided over its effectiveness as a treatment for COVID. In the aftermath, many pharmacists refused to fill prescriptions for the medication.

On Aug. 8 a lawyer representing the FDA confirmed that doctors were allowed to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID.

“FDA explicitly recognizes that doctors do have the authority to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID,” Ashley Cheung Honold, a Department of Justice lawyer representing the FDA, told the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.Dr. Bowden claims that despite the endorsement from the FDA, the practice of pharmacists refusing to fill prescriptions for ivermectin continues.

“This needs to come to an end. In telling my patients what medicines they can and cannot have access to, we effectively have a large group of pharmacists practicing medicine without a license,” said Dr. Bowden told the Epoch Times on Friday. “They have no accountability for this yet they are allowed to dictate patient care.”

“I see it every single day. Enough is enough,” Dr. Bowden added."

FDA Refuses to Change Anti-Ivermectin Statements After Court Ruling(Madalina Vasiliu/The Epoch Times)
    By Zachary Stieber
    9/17/23
    https://www.theepochtimes.com/us/fda...c5KPLlqAPKI%3D

"Anti-ivermectin statements made by the FDA are not being changed, even after an appeals court ruled against the agency.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is refusing to change its statements against ivermectin, even after a court said it acted outside of its authority when it told people to stop using it to treat COVID-19.The U.S. appeals court said that the FDA's statements, including one telling people to "stop" using ivermectin as a COVID-19 treatment, went beyond the authority conferred on the agency by Congress.

“FDA can inform, but it has identified no authority allowing it to recommend consumers ‘stop’ taking medicine,” U.S. Circuit Judge Don Willett wrote in the Sept. 1 ruling.

Two weeks later, FDA social media posts and a key webpage remain unchanged.

That includes an Aug. 21, 2021, Twitter post, on the social media site since renamed X, that hyperlinked to a FDA webpage and stated: "You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y'all. Stop it."
The page has not been updated either. It says people "should not use ivermectin to treat or prevent COVID-19."

Shocking Truth Behind the FDA’s Ivermectin Crackdown | Facts
The appeals court did not order the FDA to take any action and remanded the case to a lower court for consideration on standing.

But Dr. Robert Apter, the lead plaintiff in the case that led to the ruling, said that the FDA should still take action.

"From an ethical point of view, the FDA has been told not to do what they are doing. They have an ethical and moral obligation to follow the court’s directive and stop giving advice against using effective repurposed drugs for early treatment of COVID," Dr. Apter told The Epoch Times in a message.

    The FDA declined to comment.

"The FDA does not comment on possible, pending, or ongoing litigation," a spokesperson told The Epoch Times via email.

In a statement after the ruling was handed down, the agency noted that ivermectin is approved by the FDA but for other uses. The FDA "has not authorized or approved ivermectin for use in preventing or treating COVID-19, nor has the agency stated that it is safe or effective for that use," the agency said.
"Health care professionals generally may choose to prescribe an approved human drug for an unapproved use when they judge that the unapproved use is medically appropriate for an individual patient," it added.

Such prescriptions are known as off-label prescriptions and are common in the United States.

Another FDA page may have been removed in the wake of the ruling. That page said, in part: "Q: Should I take ivermectin to prevent or treat COVID-19? A: No."
Archives show it was still up as of this year but it's unclear exactly when it was taken down.

    Ruling
In the ruling, a U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit panel found in favor of Drs. Apter, Mary Talley Bowden, and Paul Marik, overturning a previous decision.
The doctors sued the FDA in 2022 over its anti-ivermectin statements, arguing the agency was illegally interfering with their practice of medicine.

While the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act enables the FDA to inform consumers, it does not let the agency give medical advise, Jared Kelson, an attorney representing the doctors, told the panel during oral arguments.
U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Brown had ruled against the plaintiffs, finding the FDA acted within the authority conferred by the act.

    The panel disagreed.

"FDA never points to any authority that allows it to issue recommendations or give medical advice," Judge Willett wrote. “Nothing in the act’s plain text authorizes FDA to issue medical advice or recommendations,” he also said.

"The decision is pretty clear that the FDA is not a physician, and that while it might have authority to inform the public, it can't endorse particular treatments or advise on how to approach any specific illness," Mr. Kelson told The Epoch Times.

He declined to comment on whether the FDA should update its statements.

The appeals court decision trumps the previous ruling, but the panel also sent the case back to Judge Brown.

The FDA had asked the appeals court to dismiss the case based on lack of standing. The court said it chose not to decide on the standing issue.

"We see greater wisdom in remanding for the district court to address standing and any other jurisdictional issues in the first instance," the panel said. "We express no view on those issues, and instead we trust their initial determination to the district court’s sound judgment."

That means Judge Brown will take up the case again, but that his ruling on standing could be overturned.

The government could also appeal the recent appeals court ruling. That appeal would go to the U.S. Supreme Court. The U.S. Department of Justice, which is representing the FDA, did not respond to a request for comment."

My understanding is that in parts of Africa they take IVM once a week and that does a good job of keeping the more natural parasites as bay....

On the nicotine gum above it seems nicotine blocks the spike proteins from docking at certain cell receptors and this helps keep the SP out of cells. Chewing 2 MG of the gum for about one minute once a day seemed to do the trick.

As an aside, its been a few years now but Biden created an executive order to dramtically lower the allowed amount of nicotine in cigarettes. This was around the time news was coming out that smokers were not getting "covid" at the same rate as the general population. It seems there is a connection here.....

It's good to see you around meat suit. How much space did you need to grow the tobacco and approximately how much yield from one plant? Just a guess, I know this is kind of a hard question to answer.

Along the same lines the FDA has decided after 50 years of use that the decongestant phenylephrine is really not effective and most likely needs to be pulled from the market. That does raise suspicion with me. Could it be something they know about the benefits it might provide for their next "surprise". We are to believe that 50 years later the FDA actually gives a crap about an ineffective drug? It's either they don't want it available for a reason or big pharma has something comparable that will cost 500 times more than this. Good observation Jim about the nicotine. We all know how deeply Biden cares for our health.

Both nicotine and phenylephrine deal with the lungs so that alone is a clue to keep in the back of our minds.

This is also an interesting development and not a surprise. A new You Tube crack down on "misinformation". This guy is wise, smart, helpful and I love his dry sense of of humor. He is also fearless. Dr. Suneel Dhand is a stand up guy.

I am sure he has been of incredible assistance to those that have to navigate the allopathic medical system.

Hey Pam , Do a search on how to grow nicotina rustica, which will get you to growing procedures and seed suppliers.
I started too late this year but seem to even get flowers now and hopefully seed as well.
No idea how to cure and process the leaves at this point..

That is one thing You Tube is still great at. I can almost guarantee you that you will find 100 ways to do it. I went from a totally urban lifestyle to be able to grow just about everything I eat. I can't tell you how many times I went to You Tube where some kind soul took the time to explain the how to and the why of just about everything. I pick the one(s) that make the most sense to me and dang, I have learned a lot. Very, very cool.

I think it might be a good idea to grow your own tobacco for such needs.
I have grown my first this year in the Uk and its doing well.
It's good to see you around meat suit. How much space did you need to grow the tobacco and approximately how much yield from one plant? Just a guess, I know this is kind of a hard question to answer.
Hey Pam , Do a search on how to grow nicotina rustica, which will get you to growing procedures and seed suppliers.
I started too late this year but seem to even get flowers now and hopefully seed as well.
No idea how to cure and process the leaves at this point..
Just a heads up around legality for anyone looking to grow their own Tobacco. For example it is illegal in Ireland but seems to be legal in the UK.

Check the status in your country is my advice.......for clarification I am not saying you shouldn't do it if it's illegal! Just to be aware.

Imo nobody has the right to tell anybody what plant they can or cannot grow for their own personal use

Here in Greece, everything is illegal but only if you get caught! It's interesting to note that the drug squad building on our island was closed down just BC (Before Covid). So hashish seems to be freely available, if you know whom to ask.

Oncologist: “There Is Now Extensive Research to Support Ivermectin Use in Treating Cancer”

Ivermectin, the drug once labeled “horse de-wormer,” is now showing 15 anti-cancer mechanisms of action, reported

    in a recent article.

“They [researchers] have found that if you give higher doses of Ivermectin than what’s been used for COVID-19, that it actually can stop the growth of these cancer cells, it can stop their metastases, and it can actually engage apoptosis and autophagy and kill these cancer cells.”

Dr. Kory’s answer blew Greg Hunter's mind:

“Let me answer scientifically. So there is a world-famous toxicologist named Jacques Descotes, and he's French. And two years ago, he was commissioned to do a scoping review of the entire data on the safety of Ivermectin in its history. And his conclusion after doing this comprehensive review is that he does not believe that there has been one single case of anyone dying from an Ivermectin overdose.”

Best of all, Ivermectin is incredibly safe and cheap.

When you compare Molnupiravir and Ivermectin head-to-head in the context of COVID-19, you can see what a disgraceful, overpriced stink-bomb Molnupiravir actually is:

Ivermectin: 62% improvement, 99 studies, $1 per pill

Merck’s Show Pony: 15% improvement, 34 studies, $707 per pill

6 Secrets of Ivermectin: The Medication That Keeps on Giving

This article originally appeared on drturner.substack.com and was republished with permission.

    Greetings Dear Friends,

Inspired anew by my recent podcast with my friend Dr. Kory (who must be considered the world’s expert on the use of Ivermectin in COVID), I wanted to share some summary insights with you about this truly astonishing medication.

I like to call it “The People’s Medicine.” Why? Well consider for yourself..

From humble origins being discovered in a soil sample near a golf course in Japan (NB: still the only place in the world it has been found), this little natural medicine has benefited human health like few others in history. For good reason the Nobel prize committee called it a “wonder drug” and “a splendid gift from the earth” — and that was before COVID.

We know it won the 2015 Nobel prize in medicine for curing disfiguring parasitic diseases like elephantiasis and river blindness; we know it was listed on the WHO list of “essential medicines”; and we know that it prevents COVID and saves lives via multiple different mechanisms.

Technical review article detailing the many ways it fights COVID
    Summary meta-data of all trials
But this is all fairly well-known; I actually want to move beyond COVID and add value to the discussion by drawing your attention to all the other ways I believe this is truly a miracle medication.

    1. It revolutionized veterinary medicine and arguably stabilized the world’s food supply.

When released in 1981 it quickly became the top-selling veterinary medicine in the world, unique for its properties to effectively kill parasites internally and externally. Impacts range from saving Lassie from heart worms…

. all the way to eradicating parasites in cattle, pigs, sheep and goats. (And in this latter capacity, it can be argued to have contributed significantly to stabilizing world livestock numbers/food supply.)

    2. It’s active against the FLU and RSV.

Inhibits flu and RSV viral replication, which is why it’s included in the FLCCC flu and RSV protocols.

Bonus for all you world travelers: It’s also active against Zika, Dengue, West Nile, Yellow Fever and HIV (read all about it).
    3. It reduces inflammation throughout the body.

I raised a curious eyebrow the first time a patient told me “I took Ivermectin and my hip arthritis felt better,” or “Ivermectin helped my back pain.”… Then I did the research and found Ivermectin has systemic anti-inflammatory effects (blocks TNF-alpha, IL-6 and NF-kB).

So when a patient told me “I rubbed topical Ivermectin on my eczema patches and it did wonders,” I just smiled knowingly. (Nothin’ like being informed!)

    4. Improves the gastrointestinal microbiome by boosting levels of the probiotic Bifidobacterium.

This finding comes from the research of Dr. Sabine Hazan.

    But wait! There’s more!

    5. May help with athletic and sports performance by boosting cellular energy output in the heart.

    Whaaat?!??

What if I told you that Ivermectin allows heart muscle cells to more efficiently create energy — even when depleted of oxygen (as would happen with intense exercise). Read all about it here.

The fact that it works this way in heart cells creates the possibility that it could do the same for all cells. (In full science geek jargon, “Ivermectin increased mitochondrial ATP production by inducing Cox6a2, a subunit of the mitochondrial respiratory chain.”)

Not surprisingly, then, I recall overhearing an anecdote from the eminent COVID scientist Geert Vanden Bossche Ph.D (who started his career as a veterinarian), relating that racehorses that got Ivermectin seemed to run faster. (At the time, no one knew why.)

And now… drumroll please… the grand finale; the pinnacle; the apogee; the zenith; the ne plus ultra of this amazing medicine.

    6. It has profound anti-cancer properties.

How profound? Well, consider the following:

Overcomes cancer cell resistance to chemotherapy (read here)
Inhibits a protein (PAK1) essential for the growth of more than 70% of all cancers (read here)
Multiple mechanisms of action against breast cancer (read here)
    Molnupiravir: “That Dog Don’t Hunt”

Let’s turn our attention to a quote from the founder of Merck, that illustrious company who first developed and brought Ivermectin to market…

George Merck: “We try never to forget that medicine is for the people. It is not only for the profits.”

Amen, brother!! Shoot — I guess current management didn’t get the memo, though, because when presented with the preliminary evidence of its potential against COVID, Merck cravenly declined to study it any further, preferring instead to pump its own, patented, outpatient treatment — Molnupiravir. Which turns out to have a very interesting history:

Originally developed by a pharmaceutical company, Pharmasset, which abandoned it in 2003 after discovering its mutagenic (“cancer-promoting”) properties. (read here)
Then picked up by Emory University, who secured 26 million dollars of taxpayer grants from NIH and DOD and made a few tweaks to it. (read here)
The rights were then bought by a flimsy, stand-in “biotechnology” company with no laboratories and no manufacturing facilities, run by hedge fund managers, who promptly turned around and up-sold it to Merck (after securing the rights to hundreds of millions of dollars of future profits.) (read here)
Who then pitched it to back to the US government and secured a 2.2 billion dollar purchase guarantee before it was even approved. (read here).
It then barely passed the FDA’s independent safety review panel (13 votes in favor and 10 against) (read here) because it..
Creates mutations in the genome of the virus: Might it also do the same to the human genome? Hmmm. Nobody knows.
All of which prompted a federal whistle-blower to come forward and raise a first-class stink. (read here)
Which the FDA ignored and proceeded forward with emergency authorization based on one study that was terminated early (cue the 2.2 billion dollar "Cha-Ching” sounds in the background).
How effective was it in that study? Of the 709 people who received Molnupiravir, 6.8% were hospitalized or died within this period, compared to 9.7% of the 699 people who received a placebo.
Plain English: If you treated 100 of those COVID patients with a sugar pill, 10 end up in the hospital or dead; if you treat the same group with Molnupiravir, 7 still did. So the drug only makes a difference — compared to absolutely nothing — in 3 out of 100 people. (read here)
Which was so underwhelming this it was openly criticized in the British Medical Journal. (read here)
Which played a role in the British National Institute for Health and Care Excellence adding it to its "not recommended list” (where it joined Remdesivir), after research showed it made no significant difference in hospitalization or death rates and was not cost-effective. (read here)
Whaddya think, folks? “Are you not entertained?!” (Gladiator quote)..You cannot make this stuff up.

All of which is really quite interesting because when you compare Molnupiravir and Ivermectin head-to-head, you can see what a disgraceful, overpriced stink-bomb it actually is:

Ivermectin: 62% improvement, 99 studies, $1 per pill

Merck’s Show Pony: 15% improvement, 34 studies, $707 per pill
Ivermectin: $24 to save 1 life from COVID

Merck’s loud, obnoxious, hot rod with flashy rims that barely runs: $137,653 to save 1 life from COVID

And with that, my friends, we conclude our story. Ivermectin: a chapter from history as thrilling as any Hollywood blockbuster; with as much pathos as a Shakesperean tragedy; as much subterfuge and intrigue as the best Le Carre spy novel; and as much determination, honor and righteous indignation as the grittiest Clint Eastwood Western…And still being written. “Power to The People.”

    Oh, do you want some?

I wonder if it would help someone with COPD? A few of my friends have developed this problem after a lifetime of smoking.

I don't know about ivermectin for COPD, but I do believe that NAC is a really big help. I even found some medical journal studies reporting that NAC has been found to actually reverse COPD somewhat, despite the common belief that it is irreversible. (I will see if I can find those studies again.)

As far as that message you are getting, I think it happens sometimes when we post again on the same thread too quickly. Try just waiting a bit longer before posting again.
