YouTube Censored our black goo presentation with Rainetta Jones and Brad Olsen. The video was published at 11pm EST on Monday Oct 2, 2023. Brad mentioned the word shot. At 2 am I woke up , worried I would get a strike and deleted that section. At 8 am . I got a notification from Youtube that the video was marked medical misinformation and gave Super Soldier Talk a strike, despite my late night edit. Youtube’s wants controversial channels to keep posting ,so you would make the mistake on a second strike , then they would immediately go back up to three years in time and give you a third strike and all work is lost. (Dutch says he hasn't had recent death threats yet, so apparently Cryptoalchemist was wrong about that, but Dutch doesn't doubt they could be coming.
But his work is being severely curtailed now by those who would prefer he keep silent, and he lists just who that is in this report.

That all being said, I'm making a new earthquake program to replace any I previously used, something that looks and works better, is more secure, and in the 21st century when it comes to features.

Facebook is spreading anti-Semetic conspiracy theories .... really.

Facebook often suggest posts of people and groups you never heard of and puts them in your feed as "suggested for you". (Facebook often hides the people and groups you want to see and then gives you this info instead.) Today it suggested I join a conspiracy group which is in the Spanish language that featured this image:



What this picture says to me is, there is a conspiracy to fatten people up with fast food and junk food (I can see that part) and it is a Jewish conspiracy. The man in the black hat with a beard who is distributing all the toxic food is clearly Jewish.

Facebook has censored me twice so far for:

- Posting an interview with Udo Ulfkotte, a journalist who detailed how the CIA corrupts journalists.

- A post about a Senate Intelligence Committee bill about "exotic UAP material."

They were, according to Facebook, greatly offensive to the "Facebook community". I often wonder who this offended community is - perhaps some Draco Reptillians along with the Dark Alliance tormenting Corey Goode???

"The CIA and other intelligence agencies have extensively infiltrated social media companies, such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), to moderate and censor content, including that of presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Should former intelligence agents have such an outsized role in deciding what content we can see on some of the world’s biggest social media platforms, especially as the 2024 presidential election approaches?

The Department of Homeland Security’s 2022 Analytic Exchange Program (AEP) featured a workshop titled “Foreign Malign Influence – Observations & Recommendations.” The document from this workshop contains several noteworthy disclosures from an official at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

On page 10, the document states that the FBI and CIA have been engaging with private companies, specifically concerning disinformation and foreign malign influence. It has been well documented that the FBI was already doing this, but what makes this disclosure significant is the unprecedented revelation that the CIA has “mission centers” that have developed positive relationships with these private companies, such as Meta. To date, there has been no public disclosure of the CIA’s extensive involvement with social media firms in relation to disinformation.

Even more disturbing is the disclosure regarding who in the private sector is engaging with the Intelligence Community. The document highlights that often it is former US Intelligence Community (USIC) employees who have transitioned to the private sector, including Meta. This revelation underscores the complex and intertwined relationships between the Intelligence Community and social media platforms.



These revelations expose previously undisclosed information, suggesting undisclosed ties between the CIA and social media platforms like Meta. This document carries significant implications, necessitating investigations into specific interactions, individuals involved, topics discussed, and the duration of these engagements.

This disclosure is substantial and would typically result in a protracted battle between Congressional Oversight Committees and the Intelligence Community. One would also expect it to be headline news across mainstream media outlets such as Fox News. However, although several major media outlets have this document, including outlets to which I have personally provided it, they have chosen not to report on it. This raises serious journalistic integrity questions.

Who, then, are these former IC colleagues that the CIA and FBI are in contact with at Meta? My research has revealed that since 2018, Meta has hired more than 160 individuals from the Intelligence Community. Among them, there is one standout who occupies a pivotal role at Meta, especially in the context of content moderation and censorship. His name is Aaron Berman

The DHS document highlights the challenge of determining who in the private sector engages with the Intelligence Community, noting that former USIC employees, like those at Meta, often play a role in these interactions. While it acknowledges that not all individuals in the private sector hold leadership positions within the investigative bureaucracy, it implies that some certainly do.

In this regard, Aaron Berman emerges as a prominent figure who aligns with the criteria of individuals in positions of influence. His pivotal role in crafting content policies and leading the Misinformation Policy team at Meta positions him as a key player in decisions related to content moderation and censorship, emphasizing that he holds a leadership role within the organization. Given Berman’s role at Meta, he would certainly be the type of person with whom the CIA and the FBI would want to engage.

Berman, with over two decades of experience at the CIA before joining Meta in July 2019, was instrumental in building the Misinformation Policy department and crafting content policies that held significant sway over content moderation and censorship on Meta’s platforms. Notably, he actively oversaw censorship during critical events, such as the 2020 US presidential election, the COVID-19 pandemic, and 2022 US midterms. Furthermore, he collaborates with foreign fact-checkers to counter what was considered “misinformation” in foreign elections.

In a revealing YouTube interview, Berman openly expressed his disagreement with the Center for Countering Digital Hate’s report on the “disinformation dozen,” a list that notably includes Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

However, what’s particularly noteworthy is that despite his disagreement with the report’s findings, Berman acknowledged that he took decisive action. He personally oversaw the banning of over three dozen pages, groups, and accounts associated with individuals from the “disinformation dozen,” including Kennedy, across Meta’s platforms, which encompass Facebook and Instagram.

As of May 2023, Berman holds the crucial position of Lead for Elections Policy content at Meta, granting him substantial influence over policy decisions related to content moderation for the upcoming 2024 US elections. Berman now spearheads all aspects of election-related content at Meta. The question naturally arises: Should we feel comfortable with an 18-year CIA operative in charge of policy and content moderation on the world’s largest social media platform?

As the DHS document unveils the CIA’s positive relationships with private companies like Meta, it’s essential to delve deeper into the individuals holding influential positions over content moderation. Let’s now examine other key figures within Meta, akin to Aaron Berman, who would be prime candidates for engagement with the CIA and FBI.

Scott Stern, who served as Chief of Targeting for the CIA for over seven years, joined Meta in 2020 as Senior Manager of Trust & Safety. In his current role, where he holds a position of authority in content policy, Stern is responsible for developing AI/ML algorithms that address multiple issues, including “misinformation.”

Freedom of thought, speech and conscience are inalienable natural1 and civil rights recognized in America and in countries where respect for autonomy2 and protection of bodily integrity3,4,5 places limits on the power of the state. Under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, Americans have the legal right to peacefully dissent and "petition the Government for a redress of grievances."6

The freedom to use our intelligence and follow our conscience7,8,9 is absolute when we make a decision that involves taking a risk of injury or death for ourselves or on behalf of our minor child,10 and the freedom to speak in the digital public square about what that means should be absolute as well.

This is a commentary about a special report I have researched and written on the systematic abuse of parents with vaccine injured children and the silencing of my voice and information published by the charitable National Vaccine Information Center in the digital public square both before and after the declaration of a coronavirus pandemic in 2020. I have submitted the report to the US House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.11

Entitled "The Silencing of Barbara Loe Fisher and the National Vaccine Information Center in the Digital Public Square: A Violation of Freedom of Thought, Speech and Conscience," the report is anchored with more than 300 live linked references.12

It contains information about the collaborative actions taken by government officials, political operatives, corporations, academic and financial institutions, media, philanthropic foundations, and global governmental organizations to target, discredit, discriminate against and censor me and NVIC for our mission since 1982 to prevent vaccine injuries and deaths through public education, and to defend the legal right of Americans to make voluntary decisions about vaccination without being coerced or sanctioned for the decision made.13

NVIC’s Long Record of Vaccine Safety and Freedom Advocacy Targeted for Censorship
In researching this report, I was shocked and saddened by the evidence I found to substantiate that I and NVIC have been blacklisted, even though we have a long, transparent credible public record of working responsibly in the U.S. with the federal and state governments, and urging others to do the same.14,15,16,17,18,19

It is clear that we have been subjected to demonization and sanctions because for four decades we have exercised our right to dissent and criticize the safety and effectiveness of government recommended vaccines, and we have asked federal health officials to fill in vaccine safety science knowledge gaps, and we have worked in the states to reform U.S. public health policies and vaccine laws.20

I spent three months researching and writing this report because I wanted to understand who, what, when, how, and why NVIC was ghosted on the Internet and my voice was silenced.

While we were being demonized and our presence on the Internet was slowly being suppressed — particularly between 2009 and 2019 — which was followed by de-platforming from four major social media platforms and Pay Pal in 2021,21,22,23 I and NVIC’s staff and volunteers were so busy trying to deal with the blocking of public access to our information that we did not have time to stop and analyze exactly who was responsible.

We poured all of our resources into educating and empowering Americans at the grassroots level in support of the legal right to make informed and voluntary decisions about vaccination.24,25

The decades of grassroots education and advocacy that NVIC has performed, particularly at the state level between 2010 and 2020 through the online NVIC Advocacy Portal, culminated in a national rejection of proposed COVID vaccine mandate bills for children to attend school in America.26

All 50 state legislatures refused to mandate the federally recommended COVID-19 vaccine for children as a condition of receiving a private or public school education, even though the government mandated the vaccine for federal employees and large private corporations as a condition of employment.27

It is an historic milestone in the history of state-based grassroots advocacy that no legislature in America forced parents to choose between denying their children a school education or injecting them with a biological product recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a product which has proven to be highly reactive and unreliable in preventing infection and transmission.28,29,30,31

The Rise of the Censorship/Disinformation Industrial Complex
In my report, I take the reader on a chronological step-by-step journey from 1982 through 2023, giving an overview of the history of the vaccine safety and informed consent movement in America against the backdrop of the creation of a global mass vaccination infrastructure facilitated by public-private business partnerships encouraged and funded by Congress.32

I describe the major players who, for the past decade especially, have sought to block online conversations about vaccination that do not conform with government and World Health Organization policy, and have used public opposition to vaccine mandates as a political tool to help build what is being aptly characterized as the "Censorship Industrial Complex" or the "Disinformation Industrial Complex."33,34,35,36,37,38

In the early 1980s, parents of DPT vaccine injured children went head-to-head with the mandatory vaccination lobby led by the pharmaceutical industry, public health and medical trade, and we managed to secure historic acknowledgement in the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 that vaccine safety should be made a national priority.39,40

That accomplishment was based on the fact that federally licensed and recommended vaccines for children, which are mandated by states, can and do injure and kill a minority of them.41

Acknowledgement of that inconvenient truth in the late 20th century, a truth still often denied by those conducting the business of vaccination, planted the first seeds that grew into a national and international Censorship Industrial Complex in the 21st century, which targets not only "vaccine hesitancy," but a cross-section of political, economic, cultural value and belief issues.

Connecting the Dots on the Silencing of Vaccine Policy and Law Critics in the Digital Public Square
In this report, I have told the story from an eyewitness perspective of a mother whose child was brain injured by a crude pertussis vaccine in 1980 that could have been made safer;42 and as co-founder of a charity that worked for 14 years to get a less reactive pertussis vaccine licensed for America’s babies in 1996;43,44 and as the author of referenced articles and books; public presentations and television debates; congressional and state legislature testimony; and video commentaries that have been posted on NVIC.org’s four websites and in other forums on the Internet since 1995.45

I have connected the dots so the reader can appreciate the scope and influence of the great wealth and political power held by those who have built the spider web of a global infrastructure institutionalizing censorship of freedom of thought, speech and conscience about vaccination and health, especially in the new digital public square.

I provide readers with live links to papers, articles and documents using language to denigrate individuals and groups that criticize vaccine policy and law that were published by or under the guidance of individuals associated with the United Nations,46,47,48,49,50 U.S. Department of Homeland Security,51,52,53,54 Director of National Intelligence,55 Department of State,56 Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Investigation;57 Department of Defense;58 Department of Health and Human Services;59,60,61 the US Surgeon General,62 and other government agencies.

There are links to published evidence that big philanthropic foundations and think tanks, such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation,63,64,65 Rockefeller Foundation,66 Bloomberg Philanthropies,67 World Economic Forum68 and Aspen Institute,69 as well as organizations representing Big Pharma, like the Sabin Vaccine institute70 and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance,71,72,73 have funded and collaborated with universities and government agencies and for-profit media companies like NewsGuard74,75,76,77 to urge censorship of free speech.

There are live links to reports by a foreign political operative, Imran Ahmed, who founded the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) in the United Kingdom,78 and has spread false information and engaged in defamatory attacks on me, NVIC and a number of speakers, who presented at NVIC’s Fifth International Public Conference on Vaccination: Protecting Health and Autonomy in the 21st Century, that was held online in October 2020.79,80

He created the first blacklist of individuals and organizations like NVIC targeted for defunding and elimination from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and You Tube,81,82,83,84,85 a blacklist that was used by government officials and media outlets to put pressure on social media companies to silence my voice and NVIC’s presence on the Internet.86,87,88,89,90,91

In my report, there are live links to medical literature and media articles in which professors at major universities and medical organizations hurl abuse at parents of vaccine injured children and call for those they label "anti-vaxxers" to have their freedom of speech taken away, including professors and doctors affiliated with Johns Hopkins University,92,93 University of Pennsylvania,94,95,96 Emory University,97 Baylor University,98,99 New York University,100,101 Stanford University,102,103 Brown University,104 University of Washington,105 University of California,106 Mayo Clinic,107 George Washington University,108 Harvard University,109 and more.110,111,112

Some have called for physicians sharing information with patients about vaccine risks and failures that does not conform with government policy to lose their medical licenses,113,114 and for Americans who decline vaccines for themselves or their children to be sued and fined and arrested.115,116

When I finished and reviewed the report, I thought to myself: it reads like a crime novel. That is because the blacklisting and censorship of ordinary Americans, who are treated like enemies of the state simply because they exercise freedom of thought, speech and conscience, is a crime that should never have happened.117,118,119

NVIC Struggling to Overcome Blacklisting, Needs Help
Today, NVIC is struggling to survive. We are doing everything we can to stay on course and connect with parents desperately searching for information they need to protect their children from harm, information we did not have when we were young parents and had been kept in the dark by the very same players who are operating the global Public Health Empire and Censorship Industrial Complex today.

We need your help because people tell us over and over again, that when they conduct online searches, it is almost impossible to find NVIC.org, a website we established in 1995 and today is the oldest and largest consumer operated website on the Internet publishing information about vaccines and diseases.

They tell us they don’t know about the NVIC Advocacy Portal, a free online communications network that helps residents of every state work to protect their legal right to make vaccine choices for themselves and their children; and to protect their medical privacy from being violated in electronic vaccine tracking systems; and to protect their right to hold a job without getting every government recommended vaccine.

Most people don’t know that NVIC publishes a digital weekly journal newspaper at TheVaccineReaction.org, which was re-launched online in 2015 after being founded in print published form in 1995.

And they don’t know they can read descriptions of vaccine reactions filed in the federal vaccine adverse event Reporting System by going to the MedAlerts.org website, a user friendly search engine that NVIC has sponsored since 2006.

Before being blacklisted, NVIC was in touch with hundreds of thousands of Americans every day on major social media platforms and we had a stable donor base. Now, if anyone shares NVIC’s well referenced vaccine information or talks about vaccine safety concerns on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, their accounts are in danger of being cancelled so they can’t have conversations with friends and family members online.

Mothers tell us that, if they ask a doctor a question about vaccine reactions, or want to alter the CDC’s vaccination schedule and give their infants and children fewer vaccines on one day, they are thrown out of the doctor’s office and their children are denied medical care.120

A lot of people tell us they are afraid that one day, they will be forced to get vaccines they don’t want, or be fired from their jobs, or denied medical insurance or a passport, or blocked from entry to a hospital when they or loved ones become ill — or worse.121

We all remember what was done to Americans in the name of public health and national security during the COVID19 pandemic emergency declaration. We remember how sick we or someone we cared about felt after suffering a COVID vaccine reaction.122

Many are still suffering from the long-term effects of those vaccine reactions, just like many of us are still suffering from the long-term effects of having been infected with SARS-CoV-2,123 a mysteriously mutated virus that appears to have leaked from a Chinese biohazard lab that received U.S. federal agency funding.124

We want to be free to talk about what we think about all of that with our friends, family and colleagues in the virtual public square, which is the First Amendment right of every American. And when we realize our cell phones and computer searches are being secretly monitored by government and Big Tech, and we are blocked from speaking freely on the Internet about health and vaccination issues we care deeply about, we know something is very, very wrong.

This Shameful Era in US History
I never imagined that after I had spent more than two decades serving as a consumer member on federal vaccine advisory committees and responsibly participating in public engagement projects, begging government officials to do the science to identify genetic, epigenetic, and other biological high risk factors that make some individuals more vulnerable to suffering vaccine reactions so their lives could be spare, that I would be thanked with overt discrimination and abuse.

I was devastated to learn that government officials have worked with political operatives, corporations, the media and academic institutions to characterize public conversations about vaccine risks and failures as a threat to national security in order to pejoratively label me and others as "anti-vaxxers," using words like "malignant" and "domestic threat actor," for the purpose of blacklisting and justifying the silencing of our voices in the public square.125,126,127,128

This is not the America my parents and I grew up in. It is not the America I want my children and grandchildren to grow up in. And I am not alone.

I know that my life’s work and the mission of NVIC in memory of the vaccine injured is — and has always been — just. And I know the truth will shine bright and clear when all the evidence about this shameful era in U.S. history is revealed by others with access to far more information than I have.129

In the meantime, I and the staff and volunteers at NVIC will not be silent and surrender to the Censorship Industrial Complex. In my mind Whitney Webb is one of the best investigative journalists on the web and does meticulous research on the topics she focuses on. In the video above, Marty Bent of the TFTC Bitcoin podcast interviews her about how the central bankers plan to use artificial intelligence (AI) to control the lives of everyone on earth.

This is one of the most shocking and concerning interviews I have heard in a long time as it has a dismal prediction as to how it is likely we may have only a year at best and maybe half a year to enjoy the internet as we know it now. Even though it is heavily censored it is still usable. This basic functionality may disappear if her predictions are accurate.

Divide and Conquer
As noted by Webb, the string-pullers always seek to divide people using emotional appeals, and this situation is a classic case of that. Are you with Hamas, or with the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF)? It’s a false choice. The side we should be on is the side of innocent civilians, regardless of where they live. "We should just step off the chessboard and stop playing their game," she says.

Indeed, only by being against war will we stand against the correct enemy because, ultimately, most if not all wars are fought for the benefit of central bankers and their globalist allies, not for the benefit of nations, humanitarian or democratic causes. As noted by Webb:

"Half the population of Gaza are children under the age of 18 [i.e., below voting age and did not vote Hamas into power], so promoting the carpet bombing of that [area] and the refusal to let humanitarian aid in ... there's no celebrating that."

Webb also points out there’s virtually no chance the Israeli forces did not see the October 7, 2023, attack coming. "It's just absurd that they wouldn't have been able to know that was going to happen in advance," Webb says, "and there are IDF veterans and Israelis that definitely are no friends of Palestine or Hamas that are saying that's the case."

‘Israel’s 9/11’
Israel referring to that attack as "Israel’s 9/11" could be another tipoff.

"If you're familiar with the realities of 9/11, there's only a few possibilities there. Either it was intentionally done by intelligence agencies, or it was allowed to happen by intelligence agencies," Webb says.

"So, I think we can assume that similar possibilities may have happened here with Israel, because before all of this happened, Netanyahu was facing major issues domestically, a huge amount of protests against him, major efforts to remove him from power."

As noted by Bent, 9/11 ushered in the Patriot Act (which had clearly been written and was waiting in the wings for just the right moment) that "led to the dystopian hellscape that we're currently living in, and it's just mindboggling that people can't [recognize] the pattern ... It’s the same playbook all over again."

Indeed, the similarities are striking. The main difference is that we now have hindsight we didn’t have in 2001. Today, the ramifications of the Patriot Act have become clear, and as The Great Reset agenda moves forward, we can see how important the implementation of the Patriot Act was to that agenda.

During the COVID pandemic, the globalist cabal began to reveal its true intentions like never before. Many of the players ceased to even pretend that it’s about anything other than the subjugation of the masses.

Since we now know the aim of the globalists is to enslave humanity within a technocratic, transhumanist dystopia where everything we say and do is known by the government and can be used against us, we ought to be very wary about encouraging a war that can then be used to justify a global kind of Patriot Act.

Coming Soon: Cyberattack on the Banks?
Webb segues into the next action item in the globalist takeover, which appears to include a cyberattack on the banks sometime before the end of next year.

"There’s a public-private partnership [The Partnership Against Cybercrime] housed within the World Economic Forum (WEF) [and] the groups that compose this partnership are the FBI, the DOJ, the Secret Service, one of Israel’s security agencies, the UK National Crime Agency, a bunch of banks and a few tech companies ... Palantir, PayPal, Microsoft.

They’re led by a former Israeli spy named Tal Goldstein ... Jeremy Jurgens, who is No. 2 at the WEF after Claus Schwab, at the big WEF meeting earlier this year was like ‘Yep, [there will be a] big, giant cyberattack before 2025.’

The Partnership Against Cybercrime — that’s the DOJ and all of these guys — say that it's going to be a cyberattack on the banks. Isn't that convenient? The banks can just be like, ‘We've collapsed, but but it wasn't our fault. It was the fault of these nasty hackers.’ And I'm sure the hackers will be Hamas and Iran.

They can blame anyone, because as we know from Vault 7 and Wikileaks that the CIA has the ability to frame literally any government it wants, or any group it wants, for a cyberattack, and the CIA lost control of those tools — hence Wikileaks obtaining them and publishing them — so anyone can do it [and] anyone can blame anyone, so it's very difficult to attribute.

Even if you look at headlines about cyberattacks that have happened over the past several years, it's usually a cybersecurity company that, if you look on its website, was created by In-Q-Tel (the CIA) or by Israel's unit 8200, which is Israel's NSA equivalent, and they're saying stuff like ‘High probability that it might have been these guys and our proof is that we don't have any proof, but it looks like something we think they did before.’

I mean, there's no evidence for anything but out of that gobledygook you get a headline that says ‘Chinese hackers responsible,’ or ‘Iranian hackers responsible,’ and that's all people see and read."

As noted by Bent:

"It’s very easy to see that we could be in Chapter 1 of a systemic bank failure. It starts with this conflict in the Middle East, it keeps rising and then there's an excuse to begin cyberattacking perceived enemies and that's how the banks get attacked."

According to Webb, a group of big banks affiliated with the WEF called the FS-ISAC (the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center) has been gaming this out since 2021.

"They collaborated with the European Central Bank, the FED [Federal Reserve], and the Carnegie Endowment, which at the time was run by the current CIA director William Burns, talking about exactly how the cyberattack on the banks was going to play out."

CBDCs by Any Other Name Are Still CBDCs
Once the banks have been taken down in a major cyberattack, the central banks will then "save the day" by introducing a programmable central bank digital currency (CBDC) where every transaction can be traced. In areas where public awareness about the risks of CBDCs is too great, such as the U.S., they may try to keep the two-tier system as it exists under the current Fed Now system. As explained by Webb:

"The CBDCs exist, but the public doesn't necessarily interact with it, which is essentially what FED Now is going to be. It’s about settlements between banks. They’ll use the CBDC. The public will interact instead with deposit tokens that'll be issued by the commercial banks. They're not called CBDCs but they're programmable money, and they're going to run on the rails of FED Now."

All the big banks have signed on to the concept of deposit tokens and tokenized assets — and the control system that comes with it. The head of JP Morgan Chase, Jamie Diamond, recently suggested that private property should be seized for the purpose of combating climate change, and that’s precisely what they’ll be able to do with tokenized assets. "So, it doesn’t have to be a CBDC to have the same consequences," Webb says.

The End of Online Anonymity
The second thing that will happen once the cyberattack on the banks has occurred is the elimination of online anonymity.

Everyone must choose between freedom and enslavement, and the option to choose freedom is rapidly closing.
The principles of "know your customer" (KYC) will be imposed on everybody for everything, and anything that doesn't have that will be made illegal under National Security justifications. Essentially, what we’re looking at is a cyber Patriot Act, which will allow for the unfettered surveillance of everyone’s online activities, and the ability to restrict or block access to the internet.

"Of course, the end of online anonymity means tying a government issued [digital] ID to your internet access ... at the ISP level, and that's what they've mapped out. The internet as you know it will not exist after this happens," Webb says.

"The goal is no anonymity, period, and to have everything you do surveilled and compiled, and to have AI oversee it all and do this predictive policing, pre-crime stuff based on what you've already done, and what you will do.

So, the most important thing to do is not to participate in the system after that event. Just don't do it.

I would say, if you want some of the stuff that's on the internet now, in terms of knowledge, back that up offline. Download it. Put it on hard drives. Faraday bag it. Keep it safe, because if you might want that stuff after all this happens, and you don't want to have to get the cattle tag to be able to be online, definitely think ahead.

Because if you want to believe what the WEF says about this timeline — and I would take them seriously — you've got a year, give or take a few months, before the internet gets nuked."

Warning Signs of What’s to Come
If all of that sounds unbelievable, look at what’s happened already. As noted by Webb, Microsoft recently announced that when you use Microsoft Windows your data is no longer your data.

Microsoft can use your data without your consent to train their AI, and you cannot opt out of this. What’s more, Microsoft can delete your data if they so choose, and block you from accessing your device by blocking your Microsoft ID.

"Where Microsoft is going, you're not going to be able to keep access to your own data unless you avoid committing thought crime ... If you're serious about fighting this stuff you have no excuse to not invest in some sort of freedom tech stuff.

So, I definitely think people ... need to put a lot more attention, considering what we're facing ... and support developers that are developing that tech.

There's a huge need for to divest from Big Tech as much as possible, and it needs to happen quickly, because the choice is either participate in the system being designed for you by crazy people and become a slave, or don't become a slave.

And if you don't want to be a slave, you have to invest now in Big Tech alternatives, unless you want to live a completely analog life ...

The easiest route is to go the slavery route, and that's how they've designed it on purpose. The whole selling point of that system is that it's convenient and easy. So, obviously, it's going to take some work to go the other route, but the future of human freedom depends on it so I think it's a pretty easy choice."

One example of "freedom tech" mentioned in the interview is Above Phone,1 which offers de-Googled smartphones and laptops.

AI Tyranny and a Two-Tier Society
Webb recently wrote an article for Catherine Austin Fitts’ Solari Report on artificial intelligence, based on "The Age of AI: And Our Human Future," a book by Henry Kissinger and former Google CEO Eric Schmidt. Her article is titled "The Final Coup," because that’s what she believes AI really is all about.

"Their argument is, AI is going to be so much smarter than us that it's going to be able to to see aspects of reality that we can't see, [and] we should definitely trust that whatever it tells us is in this invisible hidden reality is totally reality, and not just some AI hallucination — which is an actual term; that's a real phenomenon, where AI presents something provably false as fact.

It could very easily be that whatever this ‘reality’ is that AI is identifying is delusional, or just made up ... Anyway, they don't bring that up in their book at all. They just say AI is going to allow us to pursue this awesome quest for super knowledge and we're going to be able to see unseen realities.

But there's a tradeoff, they say, and the trade-off is that in order to unlock AI’s full potential we have to essentially sell off our ability to perceive reality. We have to ... deepen [our involvement with AI] to the point where we're dependent on AI to make decisions for us, and we become cognitively diminished by AI.

Meaning that we aren't using our brains like we did before to make decisions and reason and perceive reality. AI is doing all of that for us. That’s what they envision and that's very dystopian, but then they start talking about this two-tier society model.

This AI ‘revolution’ will be very empowering for some people, the policy makers, the heads of multinational corporations, the people who design AI and code it and task it and regulate it. They'll find this very empowering.

But the people who consume AI ... everyone else, really ... will be bewildered by its opaque decision-making. They’ll be disempowered or find it disconcerting, and won't really have any control over their lives anymore. And then, over time, will cease to be able to realize what's happening to them. That’s literally what the book is about.

They talk about how AI is going to draw people, mainly this disempowered class, into a new version of reality that is being designed by the empowered class, the technocrats. It’s very Matrix-esque and very creepy. It also has to do with what they say is going to be AI control over the information space.

Of course, that's going to really come into its own once both AI and the internet are heavily regulated by a centralized authority, which is what the UN is gearing up to do next year."

If the U.N. gets its way, AI will not only censor the internet, it will write all the information you can access on the internet, and the U.N. will be the central authority of it all.

As noted by Webb, this book is important, because Schmidt is the de facto AI czar in the U.S. He funds all the AI experts in President Biden’s administration (even though it’s illegal for him to do so) and develops the administration’s AI policies. So, he’s actively driving the U.S. agenda for AI development, adoption and expansion.

A Choice That Must Be Made
Webb is a figurative fire hydrant of information — people, organizations, companies and the linkages between them — so for more details, you’ll definitely want to set aside the time to listen to this interview. I’ve only skimmed the surface of everything she discusses.

The key takeaway here, though, is this: Everyone must choose between freedom and enslavement, not just for themselves but also for their descendants for generations to come, and the option to choose freedom is rapidly closing. Putting off making that choice is itself a choice. You’re automatically choosing enslavement and, ultimately the destruction of humankind itself. What will yours be? "

The President called on the FCC to implement a one-page section of the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (Infrastructure Act) by adopting new rules of breathtaking scope, all in the name of “digital equity.” For the first time ever, those rules would give the federal government a roving mandate to micromanage nearly every aspect of how the Internet functions—from how ISPs allocate capital and where they build, to the services that consumers can purchase; from the profits that ISPs can realize and how they market and advertise services, to the discounts and promotions that consumers can receive. Talk about central planning.
Needless to say, Congress never contemplated the sweeping regulatory regime that President Biden asked the FCC to adopt—let alone authorized the agency to implement it. Nonetheless, the Commission will vote next week, on November 15th, to put President Biden’s plan in place. A draft of the FCC order implementing President Biden’s plan is available here. I oppose the plan for several reasons.
President Biden’s plan hands the Administrative State effective control of all Internet services and infrastructure in the country. Never before, in the roughly 40-year history of the public Internet, has the FCC (or any federal agency for that matter) claimed this degree of control over it. Indeed, President

Biden’s plan calls for the FCC to apply a far-reaching set of government controls that the agency has not applied to any technology in the modern era, including Title II common carriers. The closest analog would be the heavy-handed rules the FCC applied to the Ma Bell telephone monopoly during the height of the New Deal era—a copper wire period of time when it was hard to distinguish between government regulator and telephone provider.
But do not take my word for it. The text of the order expressly provides that the FCC would be empowered, for the first time, to regulate each and every ISP’s:
● “network infrastructure deployment, network reliability, network upgrades, network maintenance, customer-premises equipment, and installation”;

In addition, I was just fired by the new owners of American Media Periscope, where I was doing the Forbidden News weekly podcast, which was very popular with their viewers but AMP has been affected by the same issues and they can no longer afford to pay anything to people like me. They can’t even afford to pay the $325 per episode that they had been paying.

They told me that I’d have to get my own sponsors and pay them 20% to produce the show. But I don’t have any sponsors.

In the spring of 2020, NewsGuard classified mercola.com as “fake news” because we reported the SARS-CoV-2 virus as potentially having been leaked from the biosafety level 4 laboratory in Wuhan City, China, the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Fast-forward a year, and the U.S. Congress launched an investigation to explore the lab accident theory after it became apparent that the National Institutes of Health had funded gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Interestingly, an April 16, 2020, report by CNN revealed the censorship of articles mentioning the possibility that SARS-CoV-2 may have leaked from the Wuhan biosafety level 4 facility appears to be directed by China, which means NewsGuard has been functionally protecting Chinese interests.

As noted by Streit, if you’re a for-profit company getting paid by Big Pharma, just how neutral and unbiased can you be when fact-checking articles that are critical of the industry? It’s a well-known fact that the one with the purse strings has a lot of pull.

The NewsGuard racket

According to Streit, most of the NewsGuard staff are also “left-leaning activists” who can’t stand non-liberal news outlets like PragerU, The Daily Wire, the Federalist and Breitbart.

She correctly explains how their little game of “unbiased investigation” works. First, they send you an email with a list of accusatory questions on a hot-button issue you’ve addressed on your site.

If you respond, they ignore your answers and send you a new list of questions. If you do not respond, you have in their eyes confirmed that you are not a reliable source.

“Heads they win, tails you lose,” Streit says.

No matter which approach you use, NewsGuard will put a fake news label on your site to drive readers away and tell ad agencies and major corporations to steer clear and put their advertising dollars elsewhere.

As noted by Streit, for news outlets that require advertisers to stay afloat, “that can get very expensive, very fast.” Companies can easily be driven out of business this way, and “of course, that’s the plan,” she says.

NewsGuard also serves as a firewall that protects Big Tech companies from accusations of censorship.

When conservative sources say Big Tech is censoring their views, the tech companies simply say, “We didn’t make any judgments. We hired this third-party fact checker and they told us this story, or that website, can’t be trusted.”

“In short, NewsGuard enables them to censor speech without leaving any fingerprints,” Streit says.

NewsGuard sued for suppressing foreign policy dissent

Also, let’s not forget the U.S. government is sponsoring NewsGuard as well. The U.S. Department of Defense has paid NewsGuard $750,000 “to monitor ‘misinformation’ trends online,” “which is an Orwellian way of saying ‘information that the Defense Department doesn’t like,” Streit says.

Case in point: In late October, Consortium News sued NewsGuard and the U.S. government for defamation and First Amendment violations, arguing the fact checker colluded with U.S. intelligence to suppress foreign policy dissent.

As reported by Consortium News on Oct. 23:

“The United States government and internet ‘watchdog’ NewsGuard Technologies, Inc. were sued today in federal court in Manhattan for First Amendment violations and defamation by news organization Consortium for Independent Journalism, a nonprofit that publishes Consortium News.

“Consortium News’s court filing charges the Pentagon’s Cyber Command, an element of the Intelligence Community, with contracting with NewsGuard to identify, report and abridge the speech of American media organizations that dissent from U.S. official positions on foreign policy.

“In the course of its contract with the Pentagon, NewsGuard is ‘acting jointly or in concert with the United States to coerce news organizations to alter viewpoints’ as to Ukraine, Russia, and Syria, imposing a form of ‘censorship and repression of views’ that differ or dissent from policies of the United States and its allies …

“’When media groups are condemned by the government as ‘anti-U.S.’ and are accused of publishing ‘false content’ because they disagree with U.S. policies, the result is self-censorship and a destruction of the public debate intended by the First Amendment,’ [Consortium News attorney Bruce] Afran said.”

According to the complaint, NewsGuard uses software to tag targeted sites with warning labels that describe the content as “disinformation” or “false content.”

In the case of Consortium News, its site was labeled as an “anti-U.S.” media organization, even though NewsGuard only took issue with six of its more than 20,000 articles and none of its videos.

According to Consortium News:

“The complaint seeks a permanent injunction declaring the joint program unconstitutional; barring the government and NewsGuard from continuing such practices and more than $13 million in damages for defamation and civil rights violations.”

The U.S. government has also been caught bankrolling the now-discredited Global Disinformation Index (GDI), which selectively targeted conservative and non-liberal media.

According to the Washington Examiner, the GDI sent blacklists to advertising companies “with the intent of defunding and shutting down websites peddling alleged ‘disinformation.’”

NewsGuard’s task is to silence alternative media

The CIA’s Operation Mockingbird enterprise may have been officially canceled in 1976, but that doesn’t mean its control over the media ended.

If the last three years have shown us anything, it’s that all of the mainstream media are now completely controlled.

If you want any variation of opinion from the prevailing narrative, you have to seek out independent news sources, and these sources are what NewsGuard is trying to destroy.

Caitlin Johnstone addressed this in a January 2019 article:

“A report seeded throughout the mainstream media by anonymous intelligence officials back in September claimed that US government workers in Cuba had suffered concussion-like brain damage after hearing strange noises in homes and hotels with the most likely culprit being ‘sophisticated microwaves or another type of electromagnetic weapon’ from Russia.

“A recording of one such highly sophisticated attack was analyzed by scientists and turned out to be the mating call of the male indies short-tailed cricket … The actual story, when stripped of hyperventilating Russia panic, is that some government workers heard some crickets in Cuba. …

“These are just the latest in a long, ongoing pattern of terrible mass media debacles as reporters eager to demonstrate their unquestioning fealty to the US-centralized empire fall all over themselves to report any story that makes Russia look bad without practicing due diligence.

“The only voices who have been questioning the establishment Russia narrative … have been those which the mass media refuses to platform. Alternative media outlets are the only major platforms for dissent from the authorized narratives of the plutocrat-owned political/media class.

“Imagine, then, how disastrous it would be if these last strongholds of skepticism and holding power to account were removed from the media landscape. Well, that’s exactly what a shady organization called NewsGuard is trying to do. …

“A new report by journalist Whitney Webb for MintPress News details how NewsGuard is working to hide and demonetize alternative media outlets like MintPress.”

As Johnstone points out, NewsGuard is “led by some of the most virulently pro-imperialist individuals in America,” and “its agenda to shore up narrative control for the ruling power establishment is clear.”

NewsGuard linked to anti-American council on foreign relations

Indeed, one of NewsGuard’s CEOs, Louis Gordon Crovitz, is a member of the CFR, a key player behind The Great Reset.

The CFR is financed in part by the Gates, Rockefeller, Ford and Carnegie foundations, and has influenced U.S. foreign policy ever since its inception 95 years ago.

Almost all U.S. secretaries of defense have been lifetime members, as have most CIA directors. This is of crucial importance, considering the CFR’s goal, from the start, has been to bring about a totalitarian one-world government, a New World Order with global top-down rule.

“Since its inception, the CFR’s goal has been to undermine U.S. sovereignty and national independence in order to usher in an all-powerful one-world government.”

In 1950, the son of one of the CFR’s founders, James Warburg, said to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee: “We shall have world government whether or not you like it — by conquest or consent.” Similarly, in 1975 CFR insider Admiral Chester Ward wrote that the goal of the CFR was “submergence of U.S. sovereignty and national independence into an all-powerful one-world government.”

According to Ward, the desire to “surrender the sovereignty and independence of the U.S. is pervasive throughout most of its membership,” and “In the entire CFR lexicon, there is no term of revulsion carrying a meaning so deep as ‘America First.’”

With Ward’s last comment in mind, published in 1975, it’s interesting to contemplate who has opposed President Trump’s America First agenda, and why.

Many Americans, even if they don’t like or support Trump personally, agree that taking care of America and Americans’ interests first is a rational decision for any leadership, and they’ve been hard-pressed to rationalize how an anti-America First policy can be good for the nation.

Well, Ward gives us the answer. Those who oppose “America First” policies do so because they’re working on behalf of a network that seeks to eliminate nationalism.

The idea of government waging war on its own citizens seems completely irrational and inexplicable — until you realize that the CFR has controlled U.S. foreign relations for nearly a century, and its primary goal has always been to undermine U.S. sovereignty and abet the creation of a one-world government.

NewsGuard’s advisory board is also loaded with neocon think tank members, including Tom Ridge (George W. Bush’s secretary of Homeland Security), Michael Hayden (an intelligence community insider) and Richard Stengel (Obama’s under-secretary of state for public diplomacy and public affairs and a former editor at Time Magazine).

Tellingly, Stengel has publicly stated that he supports the use of domestic propaganda against U.S. citizens.

As noted by Johnstone:

“Whoever controls the narrative controls the world. Ruling power’s desire to regulate people’s access to information is so desperate that it has become as clumsy and ham-fisted as a teenager pawing at his date in the back seat of a car, and it feels about as enjoyable.

“They’re barely even concealing their desire to control our minds anymore, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to wake everyone up to their manipulations. We need to use every inch of our ability to communicate with each other before it gets shut down for good.”

In an August 1, video posted to Twitter/X, Mike Benz, executive director of the Foundation for Freedom Online, reviewed the latest strategy in the global effort to shut down free speech. It’s called “middleware.” Middleware refers to third-party censorship organizations, such as NewsGuard.

In short, they’re trying to restructure the censorship industry “away from a top-down government-driven model” to a “competitive middleware model” where “content curation” (read censorship) is simply outsourced to third-party organizations.

This way, a “legal” disinformation compliance market is created while the government can claim it has nothing to do with the control of information.

Basically, what we’re looking at is the emergence of organized global corporate censorship. Of course, artificial intelligence will also be more broadly employed to “identify and slow the spread of false and harmful content.

NewsGuard is also reportedly working with the European Union on a new “disinformation code” to uphold new global standards from the European Commission, which compels brands and ad tech companies to prevent advertising on sites that publish “misinformation.”

Again, this is all about shutting down alternative media by starving them of ad revenue.

In late October, Elon Musk, owner of Twitter, rebranded X, called out NewsGuard’s ratings as a “scam,” saying it ought to be “disbanded immediately.”

Musk’s statement came in response to posts by Benz and Timcast news CEO Tim Pool, who said NewsGuard downrated his site “because we ran five stories out of nearly 5,000 that quoted Trump.

They claimed that reporting on Trump’s statements was irresponsible because we should be fact-checking him instead and Trump was wrong. They now claim we don’t correct errors because we didn’t respond to their false claims last month.”

What you can do to stop this abuse

In the final analysis, NewsGuard is just another business aimed at protecting the globalist alliance of governments and private corporations that are trying to implement a totalitarian one-world government regime.

They do that by discrediting and eliminating unwanted competitors and analysts who empower you with information that runs counter to the official narrative.

Why the Courts Are Failing to Stop Government Censorship

"'More speech is being censored and suppressed by government actions than has ever been the case in the past,' constitutional attorney Andrew Grossman says.
A growing government–corporate partnership in the United States to control what Americans say has established an unprecedented system of censorship that circumvents and undermines the constitutional right to free speech, legal analysts say.

While free speech advocates fight this new form of “censorship by proxy” in the courts, many have expressed concern that even prevailing in the lawsuits may not be enough to preserve First Amendment rights.
“More Americans are being censored, more speech is being censored and suppressed by government actions, than has ever been the case in the past,” Andrew Grossman, constitutional attorney at BakerHostetler, told attendees at a Cato Institute free-speech conference on Nov. 2.

“But this isn’t primarily the old kind of censorship. We’re not talking about book bans; we’re not talking about other types of traditional restraints on speech or publications. What we’re talking about is a phenomenon that I call 'government censorship by proxy.'”

Adding to extensive prior evidence of “censorship by proxy” by the Biden administration, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) on Nov. 6 released a report titled “The Weaponization of ‘Disinformation,’ Pseudo-experts and Bureaucrats: How the Federal Government Partnered with Universities to Censor Americans’ Political Speech.”
The report states, “What the federal government could not do directly, it effectively outsourced to the newly emerging censorship–industrial complex.”

Mr. Jordan wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that “hundreds of secret reports show how the DHS [Department of Homeland Security], CISA [the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency], the State Department, Stanford [University], and others worked together to censor Americans before the 2020 election, including true information, jokes, and opinions.”

“The federal government, disinformation ‘experts’ at universities, Big Tech, and others worked together through the Election Integrity Partnership to monitor and censor Americans’ speech,” he wrote.
Currently, the United States awaits what is expected to be a landmark First Amendment decision by the Supreme Court in the case of Missouri v. Biden. This case, which was originally brought by then-state Attorneys General Eric Schmitt in Missouri and Jeff Landry in Louisiana, accuses the Biden administration of arm-twisting social media companies into blocking speech that contradicted the state narrative regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
The AGs argued that, in compelling private companies to censor, the government has made them “state actors,” thus violating Americans’ First Amendment rights.
“If the allegations made by Plaintiffs are true, the present case arguably involves the most massive attack against free speech in United States’ history,” the plaintiffs stated. “In their attempts to suppress alleged disinformation, the Federal Government, and particularly the Defendants named here, are alleged to have blatantly ignored the First Amendment’s right to free speech.”

Those accused include, among others, President Joe Biden, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, Health Secretary Xavier Becerra, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, as well as the Health and Human Services Department, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Department of Homeland Security, the Justice Department, the FBI, the State Department, and the Treasury Department.
The state AGs say that Biden administration officials, “through public pressure campaigns, private meetings, and other forms of direct communication, regarding what Defendants described as ‘disinformation,’ ‘misinformation,’ and ‘malinformation,’ have colluded with and/or coerced social-media platforms to suppress disfavored speakers, viewpoints, and content on social media platforms.”

Circumventing the 1st Amendment
Legal analysts argue that if the government is prohibited by the First Amendment from restricting protected speech, it can't attempt to force private companies to do the same.
“The government cannot bypass the First Amendment’s protections by going and asking private companies to censor in ways the government cannot,” Jeremy Tedesco, senior counsel for the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), told The Epoch Times. “But that’s what’s going on.

“It’s a very dangerous problem that’s unique to the age we live in, because these massive social media companies own the digital public square. Through the ‘Twitter Files,’ we know the government is monitoring peoples’ posts and recommending, encouraging, and even coercing these companies to take down content that the government disagrees with.”

The Twitter Files are documents that show extensive correspondence between the Biden administration and Twitter, now known as X. These documents were revealed to several independent journalists by Elon Musk after he purchased Twitter in October 2022.
The internal communications revealed that federal authorities, including the CDC, the FBI, and the White House, put intense pressure on Twitter to censor its users—to restrict views of posts not only on topics such as the origins of COVID-19 and the efficacy of masks and vaccines, but also about the incriminating contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop computer, which many believe had a material effect on the 2020 presidential election. There's evidence that the FBI actively engaged with Twitter executives in flagging posts it didn't like and that the CDC actively collaborated with Facebook on which posts it considered acceptable. President Biden added to that pressure, even accusing social media companies of “killing people” with misinformation in July 2021.

More cases of speech suppression by the Biden administration have been revealed as part of the discovery process in the Missouri v. Biden case. In a ruling on the case, District Judge Terry Doughty decided in favor of the state attorneys general, ordering defendants in the Biden administration to refrain from further attempts to “coerce or significantly encourage social-media companies to remove, delete, suppress, or reduce ... posted social-media content containing protected free speech.”
James Burling, vice president of legal affairs at the Pacific Legal Foundation, said the Biden administration put a "great deal of pressure" on social media companies.

“If you read some of the decisions that came out of the trial court and then the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, I found it rather appalling," he told The Epoch Times.

In rendering his opinion against the Biden administration, Judge Doughty cited President Harry Truman: “Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one place to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.”

The Supreme Court has since lifted the district court’s injunction, pending its decision on the case.

States Join Feds in Regulating Speech
In addition to federal efforts, some states are also working to control speech.
New York enacted its “Hateful Conduct Law” on Dec. 3, 2022. This law forces social media platforms to establish internal policies against “hate speech,” to set up reporting mechanisms for the public to report offenses, and to respond to each report of an offense. Failure to comply will result in an investigation by the New York attorney general and daily fines of $1,000 per violation.
New York’s “hate speech” law compels private companies to establish speech codes as an alternative method to state laws doing the same thing. Forcing private companies to set speech codes is a way to circumvent the First Amendment because, as Mr. Burling states, “a social media company, being a private entity, is generally going to be exempt from the First Amendment.”

Daniel Ortner, an attorney at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression who is litigating against the New York law, told The Epoch Times that New York claims the law is merely a matter of consumer protection. In fact, he said, it goes well beyond that.

“If you don't want to have a policy for dealing with what the state defines as hate speech, tough luck, you have to define it, you have to have your definition match their definition, so as to cover the speech they're referring to, which is very vague,” Mr. Ortner said. “And the other side of it is that the state is then putting pressure on websites to take down content.”

The New York state attorney general’s office “just sent a letter to Rumble, one of our clients, along with other social media platforms over the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, demanding that they reveal their policies and show how they’re taking down speech,” he said.

One of the likely targets of this type of legislation is a satirical site that frequently mocks progressive ideology. In March 2022, the Babylon Bee was suspended from Twitter for naming Assistant Health Secretary Rachel Levine, a man who identifies as a woman, as its “Man of the Year.”



“Our concern with these laws is similar to our concern for pre-existing hate speech prohibitions on social media platforms, like Facebook and Twitter,” Babylon Bee founder and CEO Seth Dillon told The Epoch Times. “It's an overly broad category that can easily be misapplied to disfavored viewpoints—and that's not a mistake.

“These rules are put in place not to protect users from jokes, but to protect preferred narratives from criticism. If it becomes unlawful to mock or criticize the left's bad ideas, then those ideas don't have to be defended—they just win by default.

“And if the past couple of years have taught us anything, it's that bad ideas taken seriously have catastrophic consequences."

Free speech advocates are looking to the Supreme Court to rule that government actions to compel private companies to censor speech make those private companies, in effect, a “state actor” or an extension of the government and thus subject to the First Amendment.

Meanwhile, challenges to New York’s “hate speech” law are moving through the courts. On Feb. 14, District Court Judge Andrew Carter issued an injunction, blocking enforcement of the law, writing in his decision that “the First Amendment protects from state regulation speech that may be deemed ‘hateful.’”
New York has appealed the decision.

'Radical Transparency'
However, court actions, while essential to protect freedom of speech, may not go far enough, legal analysts say.
Mr. Grossman says it will be difficult for most people who are censored on social media to know or prove that government has pressured a social media company to censor them.

“So much of this activity occurs in the dark, and the people targeted simply have no way of knowing that the government was involved in the decision,” Mr. Grossman said. “Litigation is not and cannot be a silver bullet.”

In addition, he said, it will be difficult to enact laws that bar the government from engaging in censorship by proxy.

“It’s very easy to describe censorship by proxy in the abstract, but it’s very difficult to describe what exactly would be covered by a prohibition,” he said. “As we saw in the evidence for the Twitter Files, the government very rarely makes explicit threats with respect to content removal; sometimes, it simply says, ‘You should be aware of this.’”

Instead, Mr. Grossman advocates what he calls “radical transparency.” That would include laws, modeled on the Freedom of Information Act and the Privacy Act, that require immediate public disclosure of any action by government officials to encourage or force private companies to censor protected speech.
“That provides a window to the public as well as to targeted individuals about how the government is exercising this power, what speech it is targeting, and the frequency with which it is doing it,” he said. Government officials would be required to make these reports to the Office of Management and Budget, which would make them available to the public.
“We’ve seen in the past that when these types of abuses come to light, they tend to stop.”

Corporate Speech Codes
Beyond the issue of government pressure to censor, however, the instinct to suppress speech has become so embedded in the culture of social media companies that government intervention is unnecessary in many cases, legal experts say.
“I think it’s essential that the Supreme Court find that it’s illegal for the government to coerce these companies to censor,” Mr. Tedesco said. “But that’s only part of the battle.

“Most of the censorship that’s occurring on these platforms is done because the private companies are enforcing their own policies. They have policies that are ‘hate speech,’ that are ‘intolerance,’ that are ‘hateful conduct,’ and other things that, if the government were to impose those standards as a speech regulation, it would be dead on arrival in front of any federal court under the U.S. Constitution.”

But here, too, efforts to protect free speech may run into roadblocks. Given that private companies aren't subject to the First Amendment, it may prove difficult to prevent them from setting speech codes on their own, unless they are deemed to be a “public square,” meaning that they are effectively a sole platform for public speech.

That case may be hard to make.

“I am disturbed by the behavior of some of these social media companies,” Mr. Burling said. “But I don’t think they rise to the level of a public square.”

Many people who have been banned from Twitter, Facebook, or YouTube were able to find other platforms such as Rumble or Truth Social, undermining the argument that social media companies have monopolized online speech platforms, he said.
Given the actions by the federal government, some have turned to state laws to protect speech.

“In some cases, the state courts have also chosen to grant more protection under their constitutions than under the First Amendment," a report by the Free Speech Center at Middle Tennessee University states.
“New Jersey [and] Connecticut offer more free expression guarantees than [the] federal constitution.” Additionally, California has state laws that bar discrimination from political views. The extent to which attorneys general in these states choose to enforce such laws is a separate matter, the report states.
While the practice of censorship by proxy is new and specific to current technology, attempts to censor Americans aren't new.
“Throughout the history of the Republic, there have always been threats to free speech—things like the Alien and Sedition Acts—and these threats continued through the Cold War, they continued through the Vietnam era, and they’re front and center today with ‘hate speech,’” Mr. Burling said. “But I think our Constitution is robust, and I think our courts are robust enough to continue giving us some protections.

“If they stopped being protective of free speech, then we have some serious problems ahead of us.” "

NewsGuard and U.S. Gov. Sued for Defamation/Libel/ Slander

"Consortium News (CN) has sued the U.S. government and NewsGuard Technologies Inc. alleging that they conspired to censor and defame the online independent news outlet. The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Manhattan, asserts that NewsGuard, working with the government, violated the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and committed defamation, libel and slander against CN by using a rating system called “misinformation fingerprints.” Utilizing its self-monitored rating system, NewsGuard put warning labels on CN links, claiming that the links led to web pages containing false or misleading information or that the information was not presented responsibly.1 2 3

The Complaint sets forth:

In direct violation of the First Amendment, the United States of America and NewsGuard Technologies, Inc. (“NewsGuard”) are engaged in a pattern and practice of labelling, stigmatizing and defaming American media organizations that oppose or dissent from American foreign and defense policy, particularly as to Russia and Ukraine.4

CN is an organization of journalists, academics, freelance writers and former intelligent agency professionals. The Virginia-based non-profit organization which provides independent news, commentary and analysis, was founded by Robert Parry, former investigative journalist for the Associated Press and Newsweek. By its own admission, CN frequently disagrees with U.S. foreign policy.5

NewsGuard, founded in 2018 by Wall Street entrepreneurs Steven Brill and Gordon Crovitz,6 has a staff with influential connections to the government, finance and media.7 The company reportedly has partnerships with Microsoft8 and the U.S. government.9 NewsGuard offers a monthly subscription that allows users to see NewsGuard’s “nutrition labels” showing green checks for websites it deems trustworthy and red X’s for websites it alleges do not report the news responsibly.

NewsGuard provides its rating service to 40,000 subscribers for a cost of approximately $4.95 each month. NewsGuard has partnered with Microsoft, allowing users the option of accessing the rating system. Newsguard has influenced the education system by contracting with schools and libraries and with the American Federation of Teachers to provide its ratings system to educators and students.10

NewsGuard’s Alleged Collusion with the U.S. Government
Referencing a 2021 NewsGuard “Social Impact Report,” the Complaint alleges that NewsGuard was awarded an approximately $750,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) for its program called “Misinformation Fingerprints.”

CN argues that NewsGuard is, “an intelligent proxy of the United States while claiming to be an independent journalistic organization.”11 NewsGuard denies that it received a grant from the DoD, instead claiming that the payment was a licensing fee to use the “Misinformation Fingerprints” program.12

CN alleges that NewsGuard used its “Misinformation Fingerprints” program to censor CN and put warning labels on its news links at the behest of the Pentagon.13

Bruce Afrin, CN’s attorney, said:

The First Amendment rights of all American media are threatened by this arrangement with the Defense Department to defame and abridge the speech of U.S. media groups. When media groups are condemned by the government as ‘anti-U.S.’ and are accused of publishing ‘false content’ because they disagree with U.S. policies, the result is self-censorship and a destruction of the public debate intended by the First Amendment.14

Matt Skibinski, a NewsGuard spokesperson, said:

NewsGuard has never worked with any government to suppress, censor, or block any content of any kind..[NewsGuard’s] limited work with government agencies has been centered on helping to identify and track false narratives emanating from state-sponsored media sources such as Iran, China, and Russia—and these projects are completely separate from and unrelated to our ratings of news sources.15

A 2021 tweet by NewGuard appears to counter this assertion, however. The NewsGuard tweet, which came shortly after then White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki publicly asked social media companies such as Facebook to collude with the government to suppress “misinformation,” read:

When NewsGuard offered @facebook our data on websites that spread misinformation at the start of the pandemic-they didn’t want it. Picking fights with @POTUS won’t fix the misinformation epidemic- working collaboratively will. Our door is open.16

CN points out that despite only having issues with six of its articles and none of its videos out of more than 20,000 published since 1995, NewsGuard slapped warning labels on all of its content stating that there is a lack of responsibility in information gathering and that the content may be misleading.17

The Complaint sets forth that NewGuard acts to control the news narrative by contacting a news organization it disagrees with and, without disclosing its connection to the government, asks the news outlet to correct its false content. Should the media outlet choose not to change or delete the targeted content, NewsGuard will put a red flag on all of the media outlet’s content to discredit the information.18

CN seeks $13 million dollars in damages and asks the court to declare the program between NewsGuard and the government unconstitutional and issue a permanent injunction terminating the program.19 20
