    • Israel Sent SUITCASES OF CASH Into Gaza For Hamas Says NYTimes!:

If you believe the standard narrative, the Netanyahu government in Israel is a moral enemy of that evil terrorist group, Hamas. But if you actually know anything, you’d be aware that Netanyahu has actually been secretly supporting Hamas for years, and now we’re finding out that Israel was actually helping funnel millions of dollars from Qatar to Hamas in Gaza, delivered in briefcases full of cash.

Jimmy and Kurt Metzger talk to Due Dissidence host Russell Dobular about why Netanyahu would find common cause with Hamas.
No need to follow anyone, only consider broadening (y)our horizon of possibilities ...

Interesting short documentary (17 minutes) on the history of Hamas from 1987 to October 7, 2023, mentioning several issues/events that I had not been aware of. The conclusion seems to be that no matter what Hamas tried, including diplomatic engagements, Isreal never conceded anything material, on the contrary, Isreal only tried to grab more. And the only way Isreal will ever reach a sense of security is to deal with Palestinians not militarily, but on a political level.

Those of you experts in the history of that part of the world, do you see this report as accurate, or not?

    What Does Hamas ACTUALLY Want?

I have to laugh again at the youtube notation that "AlJazeera is funded in whole or in part by the Qatari...", which I just saw on the video above.
So, when will youtube note that mainstream media of the west is funded by the military industrial complex. And that Isreal continues to exist only because of its parasitic role in USA politics.

Indeed, most USA politicians are bought and paid for by the Isreal lobby, which is able to fund this enterprise because of the several billions of $$$ 'aid' provided by USA taxpayers EVERY YEAR! How long can that circular operation last... Usually, the parasitic-host dynamic lasts only until the host is overly weakened. That seems to be what's going to happen here, and soon.

This morning Israeli snipers shot and killed my two family friends in an attack on the Holy Family Catholic Church in Gaza.

Nahida (Um Emad Anton) and Samar, mother and daughter, were walking to the Sisters’ Convent to use the only bathroom.

One was killed as she tried to carry the other to safety. Their bodies remain strewn across the church courtyard.

The water tanks and solar panels were also struck. We don’t know if they have enough water to survive.

The Christian community in Gaza is on the verge of extinction.

There are about 800 of us left, some sheltering in the Catholic church, some in the Orthodox church, and a few still in their homes in Gaza City.

There are approximately 530 Christians inside the Holy Family, 60 per cent are women and children.

My family has been sheltered there since St. Porphyrius Orthodox Church was bombed and my cousin was murdered.

This is a targeted death campaign during the Christmas season on the world’s oldest Christian community.

Earlier this morning, an Israeli tank fired on the Convent of the Sisters of Mother Theresa. The convent housed ~54 people with disabilities. The generator was destroyed, taking out electricity. Then two more shells were fired completely destroying the convent. Many of these people are now without the respirators they need to survive.

The Red Cross has submitted a request to the Pope for urgent intervention.

Hezbollah attacks Israeli assembly points in 'Menara': Footage

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah, published Saturday footage showing its Resistance fighters attacking an Israeli assembly point on the Lebanese-Palestinian border area.

Hezbollah conducted an operation against an assembly point of Israeli soldiers in the "Menara" settlement near the occupied Palestinian-Lebanese border area.

The footage shows the Resistance bombing several sites in occupied northern Palestine and dealing paramount damage to them as the precision-guided missiles struck their targets, causing several apparent casualties.

The Resistance carried out a total of 10 operations against the Israeli occupation forces in northern occupied Palestine and occupied southern Lebanon.

Moreover, the Resistance announced that three of its fighters were martyred on the path to al-Quds, including Musa "Jihad" Mohammad Mustafa from Beit Lif, Hassan "Osama" Musa al-Diqa from Hezzin, and Hassan "Ali Ibrahim" Ma'en Srour from Aita al-Shaab.

Earlier in the day, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for several operations carried out against the Israeli occupation forces.

At 8:30 AM (local time), Hezbollah fighters targeted an Israeli bunker in the "Birket Risha" military site opposite the Lebanese town of Bustan. The Resistance faction confirmed that Israeli soldiers had taken position in the bunker, prior to the operation which dealt direct hits to its intended targets.

Half an hour later, Resistance fighters targeted an Israeli force in the vicinity of the "Hanita" military site, further to the west side of the Lebanese-Palestinian border. Hezbollah confirmed, in a statement, direct hits.

The next operation targeted an Israeli infantry force entering a camouflaged position to the east of the occupied upper al-Jalil kibbutz of "Sasa". The position targeted is past the Israeli "Dovev" Barracks and is located approximately 3 km away from the Lebanese-Palestinian border.

Forty minutes later, Hezbollah fighters targeted a nearby grouping of Israeli soldiers in woodlands to the east of "Sasa", confirming casualties among members of the force.

Interestingly, all four of the Resistance's operations directly targeted Israeli occupation soldiers, rather than military infrastructure or equipment. The operations come in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and its Resistance. These consecutive operations also come after Israeli warplanes launched a strike on the Lebanese village of Houmine, north of the Nabatieh governate, on Saturday night.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that Israeli artillery units targeted the vicinities of the Lebanese towns of Kfar Kila, al-Taybeh, and Blida.

It is worth noting that Hezbollah has been leading operations launched from South Lebanon since October 8, supporting the Palestinian Resistance, which faces an unprecedented ground invasion in the Gaza Strip. The Resistance faction has introduced high-caliber Burkan rockets, attack drones, and anti-tank guided missiles, in their targeting of Israeli occupation forces throughout periods of confrontations.

    https://english.almayadeen.net/news/...t--study-finds

83% of online posts about war are anti-Zionist, study finds

Since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, data obtained by Mig AI, a company specializing in monitoring and analysis of media and social networks, suggests that posts online are far more likely to be anti-Israeli than pro-Zionist.

Mig AI said data it got its hands on in terms of posts related to the ongoing aggression on Gaza are predominantly anti-Israeli, with a whopping 83% of posts online being against the Israeli occupation.

1.9 million posts relating to the ongoing aggression on Gaza that received at least 500 likes, shares, and comments were used in the analysis, and more than 1.5 million of these posts were against the Israeli occupation, an overwhelming majority of 83%.

Moreover, a study examining 371,000 articles published on international news websites found that very few of them, only 8%, were in support of the Israeli occupation. Reportedly, 64% of the articles were "neutral" while those that were against the Israeli occupation were triple those in support of it, i.e., 24%.

This comes as popular outrage against the Israeli occupation continued to climb throughout its aggression on Gaza.

Amidst the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, cities across the United States have become a hotspot for protests, with several hundred reported since the outbreak of hostilities, according to data from the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED), as reported by Axios.

    Popular outrage on the rise

In light of the escalation in Israeli aggression on Gaza, there has also been a sizeable uptick in the number of pro-Palestine protests taking place all around the globe, and perhaps most notably in the United States.

Opinion polls highlight that younger Americans, in particular, are growing more sympathetic to the Palestinian cause since the start of the latest round of Israeli aggression.

ACLED took a look at all the protests and classified them into three groups: pro-Israeli protests, pro-Palestinian protests, and neutral protests, i.e., ones calling for a ceasefire but not expressing any pro-Israeli or pro-Palestinian sentiment.

The trend in the US reveals an evolving landscape of sentiment. Initially, Operation al-Aqsa Flood, demonstrations in the country were predominantly pro-Zionist.

However, as the Israeli military response gained momentum, pro-Palestinian protests began to outnumber their pro-Israeli counterparts within a week, as indicated by the data.

    Pro-Palestine protests cannot be quelled

According to comprehensive data analysis, a total of 3,891 demonstrations, expressing both support and opposition to the Israeli occupation, have taken place in 92 countries, underscoring the growing hatred for "Israel" in light of its aggression on Gaza.

The Israeli institute, however, noted that the sheer number of pro-Palestinian demonstrations greatly overshadowed that of pro-Zionist ones.

Analyzing data compiled from the first six days of the aggression on Gaza shows that "Israel's" unpopularity was skyrocketing, especially in comparison to the high rate of pro-Palestine protests. 69% of the protests during those six days were in support of Palestine while a mere 31% were in favor of the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

A major shift, however, took place on October 13, when Hamas declared a "Day of Rage", which resulted in a surge of pro-Palestinian demonstrations that sought to condemn the Israeli occupation. The pro-Palestine protests accounted for 95% of all demonstrations while the Israeli occupation had a puny 5%.

Pro-Palestinian demonstrations are surging all over the globe, taking place in at least 88 countries. Aside from the rest of the Arab world where pro-Palestinian demonstrations are taking place regularly at dozens per day, and where Yemen is in the lead by a whopping 486 demonstrations thus far, the United States has taken the lion's share of demonstrations, with 402 demonstrations taking place there.

Moreover, Turkey had 355 protests while Iran had 275. Comparatively speaking, only 182 pro-Israeli demonstrations have taken place in the United States, one out of only 45 countries that saw such gatherings.

Hong Kong’s OOCL halts Israeli shipments

In response to the growing threat to commercial shipping in the Red Sea, Hong Kong-based shipping company OOCL has announced Sunday the ban of shipments to and from "Israel".

According to Israeli media, the port of "Eilat" has also been completely disabled.

OOCL's headquarters are in Hong Kong, and it has announced it will immediately end its shipment of Israeli goods whether imported or exported to all destinations.

In a statement published on its website, the company wrote “Due to operational issues, OOCL will stop cargo acceptance to and from Israel with immediate effect until further notice."

According to Israeli media, the suspension of Israeli goods means the company is specifically targeting "Israel" in a boycott, and if shipping companies choose to boycott "Israel" then the occupation will be isolated.

If shipping companies have to reroute to reach "Israel", Israeli media warned about the longer shipping time and result in higher costs of shipping for Israelis.

This in turn will lead to a rising cost that will undoubtedly raise inflation and make it difficult for the Central Bank of "Israel" to tackle interest rates.

On Friday, Axios highlighted that the arrival of merchant ships at the Israeli port of "Eilat" has "almost completely stopped" due to attacks from the Yemeni Armed Forces in the Red Sea against ships heading to the Israeli occupation entity.

On Saturday, the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a military operation using unmanned aerial vehicles on sensitive targets in the Umm al-Rashrash region ("Eilat") in southern occupied Palestine, with a large swarm of drones.

The Yemeni armed forces specified in a statement that the operation is in solidarity with the Palestinian people who are subjected to death, destruction, and a blockade in Gaza.

Shipping firms MSC, CMA CGM suspend passage through Red Sea

After repeated operations from Yemeni Armed Forces in the Red Sea, the Mediterranean Shipping Company and CMA CGM, announced Saturday they were suspending passage through the Red Sea.

The declaration by MSC, an Italian-Swiss conglomerate, and CMA CGM, a French shipping company, follows a similar move by the world's second-largest shipping company, A.P. Moller-Maersk, who announced, on Friday, the suspension of all container traffic through the Red Sea until further notice.

This decision comes in response to an attack by the Yemeni Armed Forces on container ships heading to Israeli-occupied Palestine in the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Simultaneously, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced that their Naval forces carried out a military operation against the Maersk Gibraltar cargo ship, which was en route to the Israeli occupation entity.

On Saturday morning, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed a US missile destroyer in the Red Sea shot down 14 drones fired from Yemen, adding that regional allies had been notified of the incident.

🚨 REVEALED: "SINWAR'S TUNNELS" STRETCH 2.5 MILES OF RAILS

New details emerge on the extensive Hamas tunnel system, dubbed "Sinwar's Tunnels."

Stretching over 2.5 miles and close to the Erez Crossing, this elaborate network had what appears to be mining-style rail tracks constructed to carry materials and workers in and out of the tunnels.

The tunnel, a project of Mohammad Sinwar, highlights the intricate underground efforts in the region.

    Text:
    Dear friends,

As people worldwide are preparing for Christmas they always think of Bethlehem. Because of the war on Gaza, and as a sign of mourning for the thousands of civilians murdered there, the churches in the Holy Land decided to cancel all Christmas festivities.

Yet the Christmas story is a Palestinian story par excellence. It talks about a family from Nazareth who is forced by the Roman Empire to evacuate from the north of Palestine, that is Nazareth, to the South, that is Bethlehem.

Jesus was born to a displaced family. There was no place for him at the inn, so he was born in a manger.

The situation in Palestine under Roman occupation 2,000 years ago was not easy at all. In fact, King Herod ordered the massacre of all the children in the Bethlehem area. Over 8,000 children have been murdered by the Israeli air strikes in Gaza within 5 weeks.

The weeping that is heard today in Gaza resembles very much the weeping that was heard in Bethlehem 2,000 years ago. On that night, a choir of angels was singing “Gloria in excelsis Deo.” This was a hymn of resistance. The glory is God’s only, not the Empire with all its military, economic, and intelligence capabilities.

Peace on Earth was also a statement of resistance. It was a critique of the so-called Pax Romana, the Peace of the Empire: the Roman understanding of peace based on military oppression and dehumanization of people who are non-Roman.

The peace that the Angels declared was a peace based on justice, human dignity, and equality.

The child of Bethlehem who experienced military oppression, displacement, and I’m sure traumatization, grew up preaching, “Blessed are the peacemakers” (not the peace talkers by the way), declared freedom to the captives, and justice to those downtrodden, that they deserve life in dignity and not death.

    Freedom and not Nakba.

    Equality and not dehumanization.

But allow me also to express my appreciation to all the people worldwide who poured into the major cities in the world from London to Washington, from Cape Town to Amman, from Casablanca to Barcelona from Jakarta to Hiroshima, from Oakland to Seoul, from Sanaa to Copenhagen. They are marching, showing their solidarity, calling for a permanent ceasefire, and for a just peace.

    Thank you.

While we prepare for Christmas we are reminded by our Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish to think of others, and especially today, to think of Gaza.

    He wrote:

As you prepare your breakfast, think of others
(do not forget the pigeon’s food).
As you conduct your wars, think of others
(do not forget those who seek peace).
As you pay your water bill, think of others
(those who are nurtured by clouds).
As you return home, think of others
(do not forget the people of the camps).
As you sleep and count the stars, think of others
(those who have nowhere to sleep).
As you liberate yourself in metaphor, think of others
(those who have lost the right to speak).
As you think of others far away, think of yourself
(say: “If only I were a candle in the dark”).

    Think of others.

    Think of Gaza.

    Think of Palestine.

Starving Palestinians loot aid trucks as desperation mounts in Gaza’s Rafah
Not enough aid is flowing into the strip, forcing the Palestinians into a ‘survival mode’ amid heavy Israeli attacks.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to worsen after more than two months of Israeli bombing and forced displacement of people to the enclave’s south.

On Sunday, hungry and desperate Palestinians were seen jumping onto aid trucks in order to get food and other supplies in Gaza’s Rafah area near the border with Egypt.

Dozens of Palestinians surrounded the aid trucks after they drove in through the Rafah crossing with Egypt, forcing some to stop before climbing aboard, pulling food and water boxes down, and carrying them off or passing them off to crowds below.

Some trucks appeared to be guarded by masked people carrying sticks.

“The humanitarian situation has become very desperate, not only for the residents of Rafah city but also for the one million displaced Palestinians here who are becoming hungry, thirsty and traumatised as the war pounds on,” said Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud, reporting from Rafah.

Mahmoud said the amount of aid being allowed inside the strip is not enough and has forced the Palestinians into a “survival mode”.

“People are without anything – without a home, without access to food, without water and without medical supplies,” he said.

“So, the scenes at Rafah crossing are a natural response: When people starve to death, when they are hungry, this is what we will see happening.”

    ‘Desperate for food’

The United Nations this week warned that people in Gaza are so “desperate for food” that they are stopping aid trucks and immediately eating what they find.

Philippe Lazzarini, the head of UNRWA who visited the strip recently, said the residents, despite their long and difficult history of suffering under Israeli siege, have “never, ever experienced” hunger of this kind.

“I saw it with my eyes that people in Rafah have started to decide to help themselves directly from the truck out of total despair and eat what they have taken out of the truck on the spot,” Lazzarini said on Thursday.

On the same day, Carl Skau, the deputy head of the UN World Food Programme (WFP), confirmed that nearly half of the people in Gaza are starving, with no idea where their next meal is coming from.

The WFP said half of Gaza’s population of 2.3 million is starving as the Israeli military’s assault on the southern part of the enclave expands and people are cut off from supplies.

Drone footage from southern Gaza on Sunday showed volunteers from the Gaza Emergency Relief prepare a giant stew.

Aid deliveries crossing into Gaza via Rafah, the sole entry point on the Egyptian border, are only a fraction of pre-conflict levels, despite the surge in needs.

Aid coming through the border crossing has been slow to deliver what the Gaza Strip population needs because of delays from truck inspections.

Rafah is sheltering more than 12,000 people per square kilometre, housing an estimated 85 percent of people displaced across Gaza since the attacks began on October 7.

That day, Hamas launched a surprise incursion on Israeli territory, killing some 1,140 people and taking another 240 captives.

Israel’s bombardment has since killed 18,787 people and injured another 50,897, while thousands are believed to be buried under the rubble.

Despite thousands sheltering at the crossing, Rafah continues to be the target of Israeli air strikes.

A massive explosion took place overnight in the Geneina district of Rafah, with two people killed and residential homes targeted and destroyed, said Al Jazeera’s Mahmoud.

“A large number of injured have been brought to the Kuwaiti hospital here,” he said. “We are talking about more than 50 people injured.”

Netanyahu Says He’s ‘Proud’ of Preventing a Palestinian State
Israeli officials have rejected the idea of a two-state solution after the war
by Dave DeCamp Posted on December 17, 2023Categories NewsTags Israel, Palestine

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Saturday that he’s “proud” of preventing the creation of a Palestinian state.

“I’m proud that I prevented the establishment of a Palestinian state because today everybody understands what that Palestinian state could have been, now that we’ve seen the little Palestinian state in Gaza,” Netanyahu said.

The Israeli leader has come under intense domestic criticism due to his strategy of helping prop up Hamas in Gaza to prevent a Palestinian state and the intelligence failure that allowed the October 7 attack on southern Israel to happen. In the face of the pressure, Netanyahu has reportedly pitched himself to fellow Likud party members as the only one who can prevent a Palestinian state.

Netanyahu also said he would “not let the State of Israel go back to the fateful mistake of Oslo,” referring to the 1993 Oslo Accords signed between Israel and the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), which established the Palestinian Authority (PA) and were meant to pave the way to a lasting peace deal.

The comments from Netanyahu come as Biden administration officials continue to insist a two-state solution must be reached after the Gaza war despite clear opposition among Israeli officials. Tzipi Hotovely, the Israeli ambassador to the UK, told Sky News last week that there was “absolutely no” chance of a two-state solution.

The Biden administration has said it wants the PA to take over Gaza, an idea Netanyahu has outright rejected. The PA is also extremely unpopular among Palestinians, as a recent poll found nearly 90% of Palestinians want PA President Mahmoud Abbas to resign.
