Here and Now...What's Happening?

False data keeps appearing in my medical history. For example yesterday, following a follow up appointment for my recent bypass graft surgery, I noticed the progress notes include "hx of colon cancer," which I certainly have not had. If I had, there would also be history of a treatment plan, other appointments, medications, and so on. There is not. Further, my family, friends, and co-workers would have already heard about it. They haven't, because there is no such history. On top of that, there would be physical evidence of such in my colon NOW, and there isn't.

An air balloon flew past my kitchen window and dropped down onto the property. I had to remind myself to stop clicking away and just enjoy the moment.

I have an opportunity to fly in a hot air ballon, but also a terrible fear of heights.

My husband’s niece Monica and her husband Esteban have a business flying tourists around in those balloons.

They also own a hotel near the Arenal volcano, called La Finca Lodge.

I have an opportunity to fly in a hot air ballon, but also a terrible fear of heights.

Wow! that you got to fly in an air balloon, Ulli.

Beautiful and diverse scenery from the skies to the ranch and the hot springs. I like Esteban’s comment where he say that it’s a blessing and a passion rather than a profession. And how you get to see life from a different perspective while floating across the sky.

About a week ago I threw out a flashlight that had leaking Duracell batteries. Today I opened a Crane pocket radio, and they were leaking too. I suggest you check old devices for leaking batteries. Like everyone else they could be using cheaper materials.

Well, it depends on which type of battery you have. Alkaline batteries such as Duracell Coppertop usually leaks KOH (potassium hydroxide) under conditions of misuse as a white foam. However, KOH is hygroscopic and will easily form a oily like liquid which is what you might be seeing in your batteries.

I have noticed that myself. It used to be a rarity, now it seems to be the norm. I have batteries that are supposed to have a 10 year shelf life leaking before they were ever used. I also noticed it in 2 products that I purchased recently. One was a coffee pot. The last one I had well over 10 years and the one I bought lasted for about 2 months and broke, same with a weed wacker. It was broken with probably less than an hour use. The last one I had that I had used heavily for many years. I suspect this is part of the multipronged approach to destablize. I guarantee you, if I have anything break I will do everything I can to fix the old one, but it is anyone's guess what you are going to get.

We received about 20 inches of snow this week. So……….

8:00 am: I made a snowman.

8:10 - A feminist passed by and asked me why I didn't make a snow woman.

8:15 - So, I made a snow woman.

8:17 - My feminist neighbor complained about the snow woman's voluptuous chest saying it objectified women everywhere.

8:20 - The gay couple living nearby threw a hissy fit and moaned it should have been two snowmen instead.

8:22 - The transgender man / woman / person asked why I didn't just make one snow person with detachable parts.

8:25 - The vegans at the end of the lane complained about the carrot nose, as veggies are food and are not to be used to decorate snow figures.

8:28 - I was being called a racist because the snow person is white.

8:30 - I used food coloring to make the snow person a different color and be more racially inclusive.

8:37 - Then I was accused of using a black face on the snow person.

8:39 - The middle eastern gent across the road demanded the snow woman be completely covered.

8:40 - The police arrived saying someone had been offended.

8:42 - The feminist neighbor complained again that the broomstick of the snow woman needed to be removed because it depicted women in a domestic role.

8:43 - The 'council on equality' officer arrived and threatened me with eviction.

8:45 - TV news crew from ABC showed up. I was asked if I know the difference between snowmen and snow-women? I replied "Snowballs" and am now a sexist.

9:00 - I was on the news as a suspected terrorist, racist, homophobe, and sensibility offender, bent on stirring up trouble during difficult weather.

9:10 - I was asked if I have any accomplices. My children were taken by social services.

9:29 - Far left protesters offended by everything, marched down the street demanding that I be arrested.

9:45 - The boss called and fired me because of the negative association with work that had been all over social media

10:00 - I cry into my drink because all I wanted to do was build a snowman...

Moral: There is no moral to this story. It is what this world has become because of a bunch of snowflakes.

I am building a decorative wooden box for the urn for my wife's cat, Max.

The fabric stores are stubbornly closed. I have only a little bit of silk on hand. I use it to wrap my Tarot cards in. I haven't used them in a very long time. Years, decades even.

So, before I put the cards away, sans silk wrapping, I cut and drew one card...just for fun.
