If I were to mention my life, remind me to tell you the story of the time that I was appointed a Labor Relations Judge for my County. I studied Law in College, but switched to Macro Economics studies instead and eventually switched again to a Business Major. Anyway they had an ambulance crew that were up for punishment of some type - probably loss of a week's pay, for refusing to transport a sick baby. Their reason? The credit card for gas that the County had them use was empty, and they didn't think they had enough gas to deliver to the hospital and return to the county garages.

Well, we asked the prosecutor if it were possible to award them a few decades of jail time instead. They ended up firing the three of us and appointing new Judges. Imagine that.

Or the time when, as a Radioman, I followed the path of the Aircraft carrier in the Pacific (to be left unnamed). I plotted their messages in real time, and placed their position on a map. They got a call to hustle over to the Tonkin Gulf area - something was up for sure. And they hit it. Now you may not believe me, but my map says they did something like 50 Knots per hour speed. Not supposed to be that fast you say? Yes, I thought the same thing.
It was a Nuclear carrier, but still, they say the newest ones only go 30-35 knots top speed, not 50 knots. And this was in the 1970s. Good to know.
