Wishing you a speedy recovery, Doug.
I had that for three weeks in December, it put me to bed. Low grade fever, headache, weakness,
and so much mucus, still coughing it up on occasion. Please keep hydrated I drank a lot of water and liquids.
Hope you feel better soon. Yes, it felt like the flu to me.

Thanks everyone. Im on day 10, cough is finally gone, temp is 97.6 and im feeling much better. however a splitting headach still with me unless I take ibufrofen. That gives me about 6 hours of relief and then it start to sneak back in again.

The biggest drag is 10 solid days of blowing my nose! Amazing how much stuff coming up and yes the vaporizer with oils would have been a good idea.
The good news is no lung problems and breathing fine

    thanks!!
Sounds good Doug, glad to hear it mate, I would substitute Aspirin for your ibuprofen, personally, Aspirin is a benign medicine that also assists your circulatory system, the stomach bleeding story is over blown if you have food in your belly it is fine (ibuprofen can also cause stomach bleeds) I never take panadol or ibuprofen, always Aspirin

Not really Doug, could have been a new variant of covid or one of the flu strains, there is a Flu A, and a Flu B going around in this area as well as RSV.

Hi have taken the advice jaybee mentioned about steam and essential oils. I think its helping as I may have a sinus infection. I keep waking with a headache and dont want to keep taking ibuprofen, or even aspirin as Mike G mentioned. but its the only thing that lessens the headache. So my friend thinks it may be a sinus infection. Lets see how the essential oils do.?

that's by far the best delivery method for sinuses, the capillaries are so small in that area that "oral" meds often fail to even reach the area in meaningful amounts and inflammation (stuffiness) just exacerbates the situation.

Good to hear natural methods still work!

Good call on that, it's a seriously bad substance.

Im down in Florida visiting my Dad. Three weeks ago when arriving he had been sick for about 3 weeks plus some. My brother sent Ivermectin and I ordered Nattokinase and in 5 days he was over it. Despite my plea for him not to take the Covid jab he did take two of them. It sounded like he had long Covid and when that is the case, Nattokinase is amazing as it reduces the spike protein in the body and most know how excellent Ivermectin is. For myself I haven't been sick in a while so wonder about other Avalon members if they havent heard that taking Zinc and Vitamin D3 that it stops the duplication of viruses? Interesting that the unvaccinated do not get long Covid... Best wishes to all and to healing up.
I agree with the above. Ivermectin is effective for coronavirus infections (possibly not for rhinovirus) and nattokinase is supposed to be effective for combatting the covid spike protein.

I caught a cold when I was in Munich a few weeks ago. I took Ivermectin but ran out after only 2 days and the cold symptoms came back with a vengeance. So I'm not sure if Ivermectin would have fixed the cold if I'd had enough doses.

Just for the record, this is the nasal spray mix that my Greek doctor prescribed for sinusitis, which followed my cold:-

2x "Aurid spray", (which seems to be budesonide).
    1x Otrivin drops.
    1x Tobramycin drops (= O-3-amino-3-deoxy-?-D-9 glucopyronosyl-(1-6)-O-[2.6 diamino - 2,3,6 - trideoxy - A - D-ribo - hexopyranosyl - (1 - 4)] - 2 - deoxy - streptamine.)

The x numbers represent the ratios of liquid quantities.
This is mixed by a pharmacist in the ratios indicated. Shake before squirting up nose.

For covid Ivermectin is effective because it inhibits splitting of proteins which stops the replication of the virus (it is dependent on splitting protein chains into smaller sections to propitiate) and is a very very safe substance (though neurological issues can present when the dosage is too high, but it needs to be pretty insanely high; I found this out when I incorrectly dosed a litter of kittens (they all recovered but it was nerve wracking)).

Chuffed. If you're really pleased or delighted about something, you're chuffed. If you're really delighted about something you can even be chuffed to bits. Chuffed used to mean 'plump', so I'm not sure why or how it now means delighted. Just roll with it.

    Ahhh, new one for me.

Also... Chuffed to bits, is that a thing? hahaha, I'm chuffed to learn this!

It has other meanings, too. If you want to tell someone to go away: "just chuff off, mate!"

If you want to ask if someone's farted: "have you just chuffed?"

In some areas, chuffed is used in the negative sense as in "I was really chuffed that I lost that cash" (Although to my ears it makes more sense to say "I was chuffed off" when implying annoyance). Also as in "chuffed if I know where he's gone, now!"

It can also be used to replace an expletive as in "I dropped the chuffing keys down the drain!"

In short, it has a multitude of meanings, which are usually obvious from the context.

And now, having drifted so far off-topic, let me bring it back by suggesting possible suppliers of Ivermectin for people living in the UK. I think these suppliers are all in India. I haven't used them myself but they were recommended on a Fakebook discussion:

    https://www.reliablerxpharmacy.com/c.../?q=Ivermectin
    https://aipctshop.com/product/iverme...12-10-tablets/
    https://fnmhealth.com/product/ivered...ermectin-12mg/
And iverm7388@gmail.com will ship certified 12 mg to U.K. at $0.50 each.
