Thank you for posting guys, I agree with all that has been said.

I have always tried to maintain a loose kind of tunnel vision in Hollyweird, in the sense that it looks at the world through the rose colored glasses of Variety or The National Enquirer. While politics can and does make its way into these pages, the focus remains on television, movies, and music hits. There are plenty of avenues here devoted exclusively to politics, which is fine. With this thread as with the other, I have tried to provide the visitor who wants a break for a bit with something of a lighter fare. Although I joke, this doesn't mean I'm not serious.

Folks have PM'ed me: Why are you talking about this sports stuff in Hollyweird? Simple. It is the #1 rated television show in not only the US but, ironically, Hollywood itself. This makes it, by default, the most valuable advertising dollar on the market. The reason: it has been proven to have a successful influence on the public.

The amount of money involved, with merchandise, television rights, tickets, ad revenue, the list goes on, is beyond astronomical. These billionaires wield enormous clout in the entertainment industry, and few are aware of it. These are the 'hidden hands' whose decisions you and I only learn the results of.
