Default Elon Musk achieves first brain implant with Neuralink

Elon Musk announced the news on X, saying the operation happened on Sunday
His firm Neuralink was granted permission in September to begin human trials
Neuralink is intended to allow paralyzed people to control movement by thought

'Imagine if Stephen Hawking could communicate faster than an auctioneer': Elon Musk reveals first human has had a BRAIN implant from Neuralink's new 'Telepathy' product - allowing people to use technology 'just by thinking'

Of course, the same "liberating" technology can do the reverse too ... but that topic is "for another time" when it is too late and used by millions on a massive scale worldwide coming decades.
    • Even with the ultra best intentions, you can never ever rule out abuse of this technology nor rule out it can be hacked or hijacked by those who want to use this for other more sinister purposes.
    • I predict that (highly influential) people who have legit concerns about these developments will systematically be misrepresented & demonized ... hoping they can control the "acceptable" perception of the mainstream pushed narrative.
From a WEF perspective, claiming there are "too many useless people on earth" are looking for ways to "micromanage" billions using, among others, advanced A.I. to seek new ways to "punish/reward" certain mass behavior ... and when people voluntary accept the dystopian brainchip will get U.B.I. and become (for the moment) 100% "financial debt free". (which was based upon a giant pyramid ponzi scheme aka "fiat currency system" to begin with, so for the technocratic "global governance", it does not matter).

Not everybody will do this BUT when it is getting "normalized" lets say within 10 years, it shows decrease in violence decrease in crimes they will eventually make it mandatory >>> if all goes as planned ... The stakes of future mass management of the global "transition" are so high, that anything goes ... The end justifies the means for "their greater good".

I feel sorry for those stupid asses that will fall for it. I don't feel any sympathy because the main purpose of it IS NOT to help those who lost their limbs, of course Musk company has to portray a great image savior-like marketing in order to keep moving further.

    Musk is a technocrat. period.

Cross-posting this, because "brain-implants" are not a "recent" development:
    • "How I got in to all this .."
If part of all Avalonians wished I never create this thread/post I fully understand ... as there was a period "other theories or perspectives" can explain what is going on assuming that EMFs are "not that important" ... this forum thread shows that understanding nano engineered fractal antennas using quantum effects are real and 100% related to all kinds of EMFs especially in the microwave range (high and low).

Long time ago (early 1990s) seeing on "Super Channel" program called: "Tomorrow's World" showing a new invention of a small remote controlled model airplane not using any fuel no battery no "solar energy" ... only a device that could convert specific microwaves in to energy ... there was a "beam-forming" microwave radiating device on the ground aiming at the other device in the air, and it could fly that way forever as long as it received specific microwaves.

In the mid 1990s I was talking on Local TV Amsterdam 🇳🇱 with Willem de Ridder about "implantable chips" as big as a grain of rice created by NEDAP (Groenloo) in The Netherlands 🇳🇱 ... with electronic circuit in it that does not need a battery but will resonate with "certain frequencies" to produce just enough energy to broadcast a frequency with a radius range of at least 3 meters (±10 feet) in perfect conditions even further.
    • How did I know about all that (and more)?
When I was investigating "implant technology" I really was shocked after listening to a lecture of Robert Naeslund from Sweden, author of: "When the State Rapes - The Mind Control Papers" we invited him to come to Amsterdam 🇳🇱 1995 in the "Doelen Hotel" Robert worked closely with Dr. Rauni Kilde (Finland Chief Medical Officer) who I personally met and interviewed in 1996 in Leeds UK, she is author of among others "Microchip Mind Control, Implants And Cybernetics" and this: PDF ... Before Robert Naeslund gave his lecture David M. Summers co-founder of Exposure Magazine gave an in-depth presentation highlighting among others the best parts of "The Controllers" written by Martin Cannon showing all kinds of declassified Government CIA/FBI/Military/Navy documents discussing: Project Artichoke, Project Pounce, Project Naomi, MK-Ultra Project, Project Bluebird, Project MK-Search etc. later used by countless conspiracy research documentaries.

When the lecture of Robert Naeslund (that was filmed by me) showing his quest to find the truth about what happened to him ... He went among others to Greece to let Doctors to make an X-Ray of his head, and they indeed found evidence of having an implant ... he wanted it to be surgically removed and all steps of taking the device out has been photographed & documented.

I was so impressed, at the time, I decided to do the translation (English 🇬🇧 to Dutch 🇳🇱 ) work AND do the sub-titling work using Commodore Amiga Genlock Interface for subtitles in 1995 for our Exposure TV shown in Amsterdam 🇳🇱 ... which was not an easy job to do ... But by doing that, I can recall so much more details about implantable chips research ... With all this in mind ... I was looking if there were articles in mainstream press discussing "implant technology", went to several big libraries and found it ... lots of it!

I also found out who one of the biggest implant-tech producers were in the world and that is: NEDAP (Groenloo) in The Netherlands 🇳🇱 >> they even admitted working with multiple counties supplying military technology ...

Decided to call them up and ask for a brochure or a small booklet showing the history of NEDAP what they do and how it works ... I told them that I was a student and want to make a small presentation for class about the "future uses of implant technology" ... and guess what ... I received it by mail ... in this booklet they explained in great detail WHY tiny implant-devices work without a need for a battery and that it can be scanned with a certain radius even if you go 300 Km per hour (186MpH) in a Super Speed Train, and they use microwaves to do it ... again my research was done in early & mid 1990s.
    • I can go on and on what the reasons are why I "have to do what I do" ... but now you may get a better sense where I am coming from and why I created a Stop5G Fb Group in 2017 with now over 32,000 members and all the above why I started this Project Avalon Forum Thread.
4G, 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth, Smartphones, Smartwatches, Smart-meters, DECT, (most) Cordless: Telephones, Headsets, Microphones, Audio-Boxes, Earbuds etc. etc. all are using (erratic pulsed) Microwaves high and low ... also helping nanotech in people bodies to "develop" if they have it of course (not everybody) ... How do I know this? ... Read all again what I just have written today here
    • A whole new generation of people have no idea how it is to have lived in a world without being exposed to:
    4G microwaves
    5G microwaves
    WiFi microwaves
    Bluetooth microwaves
    Smartphones microwaves
    Smart-meters microwaves
    Smartwatches microwaves
Starlink 5G microwaves from space ... etc. etc.
    • Even living without "internet" and still doing lots of work in waking up part of the masses between 1990 and 1996 for everyone who was willing to listen.

So does this mean you will be able to get an Apple implant? Or maybe a Samsung? Or even an Intel chip or one of those pesky Chinese chips like Huawei. FFS, looks like we won't be compatible anymore, Oh Wait!! We probably never were. My Brain Hurts!

But perhaps instead of installing a chip in the brain, future "enhancements" will be non-invasive and applied through a 'battery box' like a watch, with pulse points to meridian points on the wrist.

Dunno where this BS will end up in 20 yrs, but if you think the main purpose is to aid the needy, people with malfunctioning brains and limbs, your wrong.

We will get the "Feel Good News" about some poor bugga getting life changing implants, news items to make us all go.....oh how wonderful, but behind the scenes the rich and powerful will be lining up to become better than us, super humans in many ways, this will be happening behind closed doors, we wont know till its too late, glad im 63 yrs old cause f#@k the next 50 yrs.

Default Re: Elon Musk achieves first brain implant with Neuralink

I have a doctorate in neuroendocrinology and have handled, processed, measured transmitters and receptors in human brains - admittedly this was about 25-40 years ago! But I retained an interest in this subject and correctly predicted the scientific failure of functional brain imaging methods (results from which have since turned out to be a mixture of incompetence and fraud).

    https://charltonteaching.blogspot.co...mug-today.html

In my opinion such implants cannot work at improving brain function because nobody understands the detailed functioning of the brain, because the neurons are too small and close-packed and their activity cannot be measured in real time. Brain imaging methods are orders of magnitude too coarse in their resolution of time and of volume, to be able to study living brains. So these implants are working blindly, and very crudely, on an extremely subtle and delicate system

The scale of operation between implants and the brain mean that, it is something like trying to control the operations of a radio by putting it inside a microwave oven! In other words, implants of this kind will damage - not enhance - brain function.

Of course, in some people who already have brain damage, it is possible (albeit rare) that damaging another region can improve some specific aspects of the functioning of an organism (e.g. when, very rarely, brain surgery can reduce crippling symptoms of anxiety, or when some brain region is over-active and harming the rest) - but this is always at a cost of some other damage; which must be balanced against the procedure.

Again IMO - I think the real purpose of this kind of implant would be to remotely disable human beings, at will - because that is all they can really do (whatever "evidence" we may be shown of their supposed effectiveness).

    "ELON MUSK’S NEURALINK BRAIN IMPLANT
    1,500 Monkeys Dead, Now Humans?
By Alexis Baden-Mayer, Political Director at Organic Consumers Association:

When Elon Musk tweeted on January 29th that “The first human received an implant from Neuralink yesterday and is recovering well,” the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine issued a timeline of the controversy surrounding the more than 1,500 monkeys Neuralink had killed in experiments involving the brain-computer interface. It reads in part:

“In September 2018, a Neuralink neurosurgeon drilled into the skull of a female rhesus macaque known only as ‘Animal 21’and filled holes with the [BioGlue] adhesive. The next day, she lost coordination and balance, experienced paralysis in both legs and was suffering from ‘depression.’ The day after that, she was seen ‘gasping/retching’ and ‘collapse[d] from exhaustion/fatigue.’ When staff finally euthanized her and conducted a necropsy, they discovered BioGlue was ‘covering and compressing a large area of the left cerebrum’ and blood had built up on the surface of her brain. They also found ‘acute’ ulcers in her esophagus ‘likely due to vomiting’ and blood in her stomach. BioGlue had never been approved for use in the study…”

And yet, in May 2023, the Food & Drug Administration approved Neuralink’s request for permission to pursue human trials! See:

Elon Musk's Neuralink wins FDA approval for human study of brain implants
    By Rachael Levy, Marisa Ta
    May 25 (Reuters)

(Hyperlinks in the article not embedded here.)

"Elon Musk's Neuralink received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for its first-in-human clinical trial, a critical milestone for the brain-implant startup as it faces U.S. probes over its handling of animal experiments.

The FDA approval "represents an important first step that will one day allow our technology to help many people," Neuralink said in a tweet on Thursday, without disclosing details of the planned study. It added it is not recruiting for the trial yet and said more details would be available soon.
The FDA acknowledged in a statement that the agency cleared Neuralink to use its brain implant and surgical robot for trials on patients but declined to provide more details.
Neuralink and Musk did not respond to Reuters requests for comment.

The critical milestone comes as Neuralink faces federal scrutiny following Reuters reports about the company's animal experiments.
Neuralink employees told Reuters last year that the company was rushing and botching surgeries on monkeys, pigs and sheep, resulting in more animal deaths than necessary, as Musk pressured staff to receive FDA approval. The animal experiments produced data intended to support the company's application for human trials, the sources said.

In one instance in 2021, the company implanted 25 out of 60 pigs with the wrong-sized devices. All the pigs were subsequently killed - an error that employees said could have been easily avoided with more preparation.

In May, U.S. lawmakers urged regulators to investigate whether the makeup of a panel overseeing animal testing at Neuralink contributed to botched and rushed experiments after Reuters reported on potential financial conflicts on the panel.
The Department of Transportation is separately probing whether Neuralink illegally transported dangerous pathogens on chips removed from monkey brains without proper containment measures.Neuralink is also under investigation by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Office of Inspector General for potential animal-welfare violations. This probe has been looking at the USDA's oversight of Neuralink.

The probe was launched amid growing employee concern that the company is rushing experiments, causing additional suffering and deaths of pigs, sheep and monkeys.
Neither Musk nor Neuralink ever responded to multiple requests for comment on the Reuters reports.

As of several weeks ago, the FDA had not inspected Neuralink over its laboratory practices, according to FDA records and a Neuralink employee.
Victor Krauthamer, an adjunct biomedical engineering professor who spent three decades at the FDA, including a stint overseeing the office that reviews human-trial requests for brain implants, said the FDA does not typically inspect facilities as part of their review of applications for clinical trials. But he added this would have been warranted in this case, given the concerns around Neuralink's animal experiments.

"If the animal testing is unreliable, then (human trial) approval may be based on flawed animal safety data. The FDA should have verified their trust of animal study results," Krauthamer said.

    SEVERAL PREDICTIONS
Neuralink had hoped to receive approval to implant its device in 10 patients, opens new tab, Reuters has reported. But more recently, the company was negotiating a lower number of patients with the agency after it raised safety concerns, current and former employees said. It is not known how many patients the FDA ultimately approved.

Musk envisions brain implants could cure a range of conditions including obesity, autism, depression and schizophrenia as well as enabling Web browsing and telepathy. He made headlines late last year when he said he was so confident in the devices' safety that he would be willing to implant them in his children.

On at least four occasions since 2019, Musk predicted Neuralink would begin human trials. But the company sought FDA approval only in early 2022, and the agency rejected the application, Reuters, opens new tab reported in March.
The FDA had pointed out several safety concerns to Neuralink that needed to be addressed before sanctioning human trials, Reuters reported. Some of the issues involved the lithium battery of the device, the possibility of the implant's wires migrating within the brain, and the challenge of safely extracting the device without damaging brain tissue.

    NEWS RELEASE
    Jan 30, 2024
Statement from the Physicians Committee on Neuralink’s Purported Patient Implant
    https://www.pcrm.org/news/news-relea...atient-implant

(Hyperlinks in the article not embedded here)

"On January 29, 2024, Elon Musk claimed on his social media platform X that a patient had received an implant from Musk’s brain-computer interface company Neuralink “and is recovering well.” The statement has not been independently verified. It is important to remember that Musk has a long track record of misleading the public about Neuralink’s supposed developments. In addition, Neuralink has a well-documented history of conducting unnecessary, sloppy experiments in monkeys, pigs, sheep, and other animals that raise serious concerns about the safety of its device. Past experiments revealed serious safety concerns stemming from the device’s invasiveness and rushed actions by company employees. In addition, a significant number of medical devices approved for clinical trials fail to ever make it to the market. As such, the public should continue to be skeptical of the safety and functionality of any device produced by Neuralink.

According to a March 2023 news report, which cited Neuralink employees, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) itself “raised safety concerns” related to “device’s lithium battery; the potential for the implant’s tiny wires to migrate to other areas of the brain; and questions over whether and how the device can be removed without damaging brain tissue.”

In addition, Musk’s true intentions for Neuralink are disturbingly clear. He has repeatedly said the goal of the company is “to achieve a symbiosis with artificial intelligence,” which is not necessarily in line with developing treatments for patients.

The Physicians Committee continues to urge Elon Musk and Neuralink to shift to developing a noninvasive brain-computer interface. Researchers elsewhere have already made progress to improve patient health using such noninvasive methods, which do not come with the risk of surgical complications, infections, or additional operations to repair malfunctioning implants. Noninvasive devices are already demonstrating the ability to improve quality of life for older adults and elderly patients, translate brain activity into intelligible speech, and assist paralyzed patients.

“Without more information, it’s impossible to know if Neuralink has achieved anything,” said Ryan Merkley, director of research advocacy at the Physicians Committee. “But we do know that Neuralink has a troubling history of sloppy science and illegal activity. And we know that Musk could help a great number of patients if he would instead develop a noninvasive brain-computer interface.”

The Physicians Committee was the first group to obtain internal records from the University of California, Davis (UC Davis), where Neuralink conducted painful, deadly experiments on monkeys between 2017 and 2020. Many of those records were released to the public by the Physicians Committee in February 2022. Here is a timeline of events since then:

    March 2022
In response to the Physicians Committee’s complaint alleging violations of the federal Animal Welfare Act by Neuralink and UC Davis, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) inspected both facilities. The agency has a well-documented history of failing to hold violators accountable, and its inspections of Neuralink and UC Davis continued that trend. However, USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack later confirmed to Congress that a violation of the law did occur—except it was wiped away due to a now-forbidden agency policy designed to remove such incidents from public records.

The August 2019 incident involved a male rhesus macaque identified only as “Animal 8” by UC Davis. According to records obtained by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine through a public records lawsuit against UC Davis, a company neurosurgeon drilled two holes in Animal 8’s skull, implanted electrodes in his brain, and used bone screws to attach electronics to his head. The holes were then filled with a surgical adhesive called BioGlue. Soon thereafter, Neuralink and UC Davis staff killed Animal 8. BioGlue had never been approved for use in the experiment, which is a serious violation—or “noncompliance” in USDA’s language—of the Animal Welfare Act.

Vilsack did not address an earlier, even more troubling incident involving BioGlue. In September 2018, a Neuralink neurosurgeon drilled into the skull of a female rhesus macaque known only as “Animal 21” and filled holes with the adhesive. The next day, she lost coordination and balance, experienced paralysis in both legs and was suffering from “depression.” The day after that, she was seen “gasping/retching” and “collapse[d] from exhaustion/fatigue.” When staff finally euthanized her and conducted a necropsy, they discovered BioGlue was “covering and compressing a large area of the left cerebrum” and blood had built up on the surface of her brain. They also found “acute” ulcers in her esophagus “likely due to vomiting” and blood in her stomach. BioGlue had never been approved for use in the study, and it remains unclear why USDA did not cite Neuralink and UC Davis for this serious violation. It is also unclear why USDA found the September 2018 use of BioGlue to be a violation but not the August 2019 use.

    September 2022
Filings related to a public records lawsuit by the Physicians Committee against UC Davis revealed the university possesses 371 photographs related to monkey experiments conducted by Neuralink. Yet the university’s attorneys argued that the images should not be released because the public would misunderstand them. As of the date of this statement, the public records lawsuit is ongoing.

    December 2022
Reuters reported that Neuralink was under investigation USDA and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) for animal welfare violations. The investigation also revealed that Neuralink had killed more than 1,500 animals in experiments and employees were concerned that many experiments had been rushed. According to Reuters, an employee “wrote an angry missive earlier this year to colleagues about the need to overhaul how the company organizes animal surgeries to prevent ‘hack jobs.’ The rushed schedule, the employee wrote, resulted in under-prepared and over-stressed staffers scrambling to meet deadlines and making last-minute changes before surgeries, raising risks to the animals.” As of July 2023 and November 2023, neither USDA nor DOJ, respectively, would confirm or deny the existence of investigations.

    December 2022
Members of Congress wrote to USDA to raise animal welfare concerns about Neuralink and urge greater oversight of the company.

    February 2023
New records obtained by the Physicians Committee from UC Davis revealed that Neuralink may have violated federal hazardous materials laws by transporting infectious pathogens from “infected” monkeys without safely packaging them. In one email, from 2019, a UC Davis employee wrote to Neuralink: “Since the hardware components of the explanted neural device are not sealed and it was not disinfected prior to leaving the [university], this presents a hazard for anyone potentially coming in contact with the device. Simply labeling it ‘hazardous’ doesn’t account for the risk of potentially contracting Herpes B.” Later, a UC Davis employee wrote that “devices had made their way back [to the university] in an open box,” emphasizing: “we are making a big deal about this because we are concerned for human safety.” The Physicians Committee provided the records to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), which launched an investigation. (See January 2024 below for further updates on this.)

    May 2023
Reuters reported that Neuralink’s internal panel which oversees animal experiments was “rife with potential conflicts,” raising “questions about potential violations of conflict-of-interest regulations,” according to bioethicists.

    September 2023
Following false claims by Elon Musk about the deaths of monkeys, the Physicians Committee asked the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to investigate Musk and Neuralink for possible securities fraud, pointing out that he may be deliberately misleading investors.

    October 2023
WIRED reported disturbing details about Neuralink’s monkey experiments and how the company works to keep photos of those experiments secret.

    November 2023
U.S. lawmakers also asked SEC to investigate Musk and Neuralink for securities fraud.

    January 2024
Public records reveal that DOT fined Neuralink for violations of federal hazardous materials laws. The fines stemmed from the investigation launched after the Physicians Committee’s February 2023 complaint.

Founded in 1985, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine is a nonprofit organization that promotes preventive medicine, conducts clinical research, and encourages higher standards for ethics and effectiveness in education and research. "

Implanting something foreign in the body, especially in the brain is an awful idea.
It is certain that this is going to go wrong.

Continuing down this path thus is a conscious choice.

This time those pushing this path are 100 per cent responsible for all the misery they'll create.
