One question comes to my mind is:

Are we going to get past 2017 anyways Doh!

do we believe that we already have the means to stop it, I do!
    What is happening in 2017?

No I dont believe we have the means to stop it at this point. Maybe when it comes closer to the date we will, but lets hope they've been working on stopping it. This is a civilaztion killer and headed our way. Can you even image when it would look like flying past us in such a close distance? It'll be a world event the day it passes us for those that can view it....and lets hope thats what it does....fly past us.

Stargate SG-1 predicted/revealed this scenario/prediction in episode 5x17 'Fail Safe'

Quote An amateur astronomer discovers a rogue asteroid on a collision course with Earth. SG-1 and a couple of engineers repair the cargoship that crashed on Revanna and head for earth. Just before they reach the asteroid, there is a problem with one of the engines. They start heading for the asteroid, but manage to stop at the last moment. Teal'c and O'Neill place a naqahdah enhanced nuclear weapon. Carter discovers that the core of the asteroid is composed of naqahdah, so exploding the nuke would destroy Earth. They manage to use the ship's hyperspace engines to transfer the asteroid to the other side of earth.

That could be Apophis, which really is a risk, and is scheduled for a very close fly-by in 2029 (and a similar close fly-by when it returns in 2036). It's been watched very intently for several years.

The risk of impact in 2029 has been calculated at 2.7%, which in astronomical terms is a little too high for comfort, given that it's nearly half a kilometer wide and weighs 67 million tons, traveling at 28,000 mph. An impact would create an 880 megaton explosion, even if it hit the ocean.

The issue is complicated because it's possible that if the fly-by in 2029 happens in just a certain way, then the Earth's gravitational field would alter its orbit very slightly so that it really would hit in 2036. (By then, though, we'd have to assume there'd be ways to deflect it from direct impact. Watch this space. )

I always wondered where Elon Musk's mad dash to Mars came from... maybe he's tracking this and decided todo something about it?

I mean, the time lines line up well, Musk imagines have will be large scale unmanned Mars missions by 2024, at that place we could have a semblance of multiplanitary species by 2036.

This news isn't about Apophis, but it may belong on this thread. It's a little sensational, of course (this new asteroid is small, and the probability of an impact is low) but it's nonetheless interesting to note that unknown close-proximity asteroids are still discovered all the time.
Newly Discovered Asteroid could hit Earth in 2032

Space agencies have spotted an asteroid that could collide with Earth on December 22, 2032. An automated telescope in Chile discovered the asteroid named 2024 YR4 this past December.

It is now at the top of the impact risk list, but the odds of an actual collision remain fairly low. According to astronomers’ calculations, it has a 1 in 83 chance of actually hitting us.

At 55 meters wide, 2024 YR4 is relatively small. For comparison, the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs was nearly 15 kilometers in diameter. But despite its modest size, it could still pack a punch if it defied the odds and struck the Earth. The rock’s speed and mass would unleash eight megatons of energy — 500 times more than the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima. It wouldn’t wipe out all humanity, but it could destroy a major city.

The European Space Agency (ESA) has revealed it is closely monitoring an asteroid the size of a football pitch that could hit the Earth in a little over seven years.

The asteroid, called 2024 YR4, is estimated to have a one in 83 chance of a direct hit, causing "severe damage to a local region", according to ESA.

    Sky News

    https://news.sky.com/story/scientist...uture-13299214

The space rock, which measures 100m by 40m, is currently at a distance of around 27 million miles and moving away from the planet. But its path will cross the Earth's orbit on 22 December 2032.

Most likely there would be a near miss, with the asteroid passing within a few thousand miles.

The Space Mission Planning Advisory Group, which is chaired by ESA, will discuss the latest observations of the asteroid at a meeting in Vienna next week.

In this episode of The Why Files AJ talks about the Apophis asteroid. It has a possibly of striking the earth on 04/13/29. Comets generally travel faster than asteroid and do more damage. Comet Swift-Tuttle is considered the most dangerous object in space and could do more damage than the impact 65 million years ago. There's a move called Apophis 2029 due for release on 12/30/25 in the United State. It looked like AJ used clips from the movie. This probable event dovetails with the Draco's depopulation plan. The object is classified as 99942 Apophis which is 666 upside-down. The word popis means list in Bosnian and HIS is an acronym for Hybrid Intelligence System. The two P's in the name would be 1616 in simple gematria and could represent duality on a Reptilian/Masonic chess board with each sided having 16 white & 16 black squares.

The time between the release of the movie on 12/30/25 and a potential impact on 04/13/29 is exactly 1,200 days which can't be a coincidence.

Quote Asteroid Apophis is Coming | Ground Zero: California

On April 13, 2029, an asteroid named Apophis will pass closer to Earth than our communication satellites. For the first time in human history, millions of people will watch a mountain-sized space rock race across the night sky.

NASA says we're safe, but Apophis is just the beginning. Scientists estimate 25,000 city-killer asteroids cross Earth's orbit, and they've only found half of them.

The other 13,500 remain completely hidden, somewhere in the darkness of space. Every three days, fragments from ancient comets bombard our planet.

Just 12,800 years ago, a cosmic impact reset human civilization and triggered a freeze that lasted over a thousand years. The evidence is buried in rock layers across four continents.

Today, we have the technology to fight back, but time is running out. The question isn't whether another impact will happen—it's whether we'll be ready when it does.

The following are anagrams I pulled from the actor's names in the movie Apophis. Some of the producers of the film at Masch Global Media are also in it. Another one of their movies is called Alien Wars: Judgement Day. Apophis hits Catalina Island off the coast of California and in the movie Greenland a comet fragment hits near Florida. The theme seems to be that positive non-human races reside at those locations. The word Dart reminds me of the rod's of god weapon system where they can propel an object at a fraction of the speed of light mimicking a celestial impact. Used in conjunction with land and space based holographic projectors they can fake the event.

Who is running the United States?
Quote The late 92nd degree mason Daivd Wynn Miller said American breaks down to No Mercy for the Sheep in Latin. United States anagrams to Anu Detests It. Since there's a north, central and south American there must be a magnetic event that implements the No Mercy. Michael E. Armagost name anagrams to Earth’s Magma Coil. He was the third mate on the Edmund Fitzgerald that sank on Lake Superior on 11/10/75 with a crew of 29 and it was carrying iron ore.
    The Entertainment Industry
Quote On 11/14/21 Adele performed a one night only concert at Griffith Observatory. Around the same time, she did an interview with Oprah on CBS (the all-seeing eye) which landed her 100 million. The show had a running time of 88 minutes which is a number that keeps popping-up. The asterisk/star is on the number eight on a keyboard and may refer to Nemesis the sun's alleged companion. Three eights could refer to the belt of Orion. Her name can be broken down to Extinction Level Event (ELE) and Anno Domini (AD) anagrams to Indian Moon. This is far to coincidental not to be a message by the PTB to the global populace.
I find this to be an interesting chain of events. Adele purchase Slyvester Stallone's home and a condition of the sale was he leave the Rocky statue at the end of the pool. The aerial view of it reminds me of the Prometheus statue in Rockefeller Center. Bugress Meredith played Rocky's trainer and was in an episode of The Twilight Zone called Time Enough at Last that originally aired on 11/20/59. He was saved from a nuclear holocaust by being in a bank vault. He was in an episode of Bonanza called Six Black Horses season 9, episode 11 that aired on 09/12/59. That show and The Simpsons were encoded with Thoran Eredyon's logic, "Your future was imbued in your past, as a message to the present." Off the top of my head the only celebrities still alive that were in The Twilight Zone are William Shatner (94) and Robert Redford (88) who played Death. Most of the main cast in Star Trek were also in Bonanza. It appears they use the same people to depict our race as primitive then as an advanced spacefaring one. It reminds me of the storyline in the game Universim.
