Sorry...No Haiku in this post.
I just wanted to say how impressive all the Haiku posts have been in this thread so far. All ridiculously good.

It took me over two hours to come up with my Haiku (Post 15), following the syllable rules of 5,7,5.
I wanted to do a Haiku on how uncertain I am of the changes that will happen these next few years. Took me those few hours (constantly changing words).

Your are just all too good at this!

It is not a easy thing to do .... but it is fun!

At one point, about 10 years ago, I began to try and write in a way where each word of a sentence used the same first letter!

That is rather fun and can take some time to create a post .... but there are 171,476 words in English, plus near another 50K obsolete words .... plus Slang and Jargon .... so it is possible to write sentences and paragraphs which all start with the same letter!

Totally agree.
Even though I spent a while on it, it definitely was fun. More fun that wasting my time on a Sudoku puzzle.

I was born in the South of England but my Grand-parents were from the North.
There are phrases I lovingly remember as a child that my Grandparents used... which I would love to put in a haiku.
My Nan (when angry) used to use the phrases... "Pithy on a Rock Bun" and "Blood & Stomach Pills" I'll have to give it a try

Thanks for all the great Haiku .... I knew that you guys could do it

I don't mind some 'thread drift' .... it is all words anyway, so I wondered what you would think of this?

I did a search for "Famous Quotes" and this, below, came back first .... So a re-write where each word has the same letter to start!
Does it mean the same?
Can you improve it?

The quote:

If today was the last day of your life, would you still want to do what you are about to do today?

All with the same first letter:

Alone, anticipation's apex arrives. Assessing actions, are any apt?

And the same but using some Old English (which is fair as it is still words):

Ane, anticipation's apex alights. Are all actions aptly assayed?

I think both convey the same feeling .... last day .... what is important!
