Iran retaliation attack against Israel. What is known so far:

    The weapons

🔶 The Iranian attack involved drones, cruise and supersonic missiles, according to Iranian and Israeli officials and media reports

🔶 For the first time Iran used missiles with separable warheads to break through Israel's air defenses, according to IRGC

🔶 Iran used more than 200 rockets and drones, according to the statement by IDF. Anonymous Israeli officials claimed to Ynet that 99% of Iran's projectiles were intercepted.

🔶 The US and UK reportedly helped shot down some of the drones in the skies of Jordan, Lebanon and Syria

    The damage

🔶 An airbase, from which the plane that attacked the Iranian consulate in Damascus had taken off, came under fire, IRGC reported

🔶 Hezbollah stated it struck Israeli air defense complexes in the Golan Heights with rockets and Israel stated it struck Hezbollah infrastructure facilities in Lebanon in response

🔶 The IDF base in the Negev desert was reportedly hit by 7 missiles and 7 rockets hit Ramon Air base in southern Israel

🔶 10-year-old boy from Bedouin village was reportedly wounded as a result of Iranian attack

    The reaction

🔶 IRGC stated that the operation was a “success” and Iran's mission to the UN said the attack was a response to aggression against diplomatic facilities, citing the right to self-defense of UN Charter Article 51

🔶 The Iranian attacks were labeled as "unprecedented and blatant violation of Israel's sovereignty," by Israel in a letter to the chairman of the UN Security Council

🔶 Iran promised to double its next reaction if Israel will try to response, according to the Iranian Tasnim news agency

🔶 The US Navy dispatched the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Dwight Eisenhower towards Israel as UK Air Force's dispatched its Voyager KC2 refueling aircraft the same way

Biden tells Netanyahu US opposes response to Iran's retaliation: Axios
A senior White House official told Axios that US President Joe Biden told Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that his country will oppose any Israeli response to the Iranian retaliatory strike.

The White House confirmed Sunday that Biden spoke by telephone with Netanyahu following the unprecedented Iranian attack on "Israel" in response to the strike that targeted Iran's consulate in the Syrian capital Damascus on April 1.

Following the call, Biden said US forces have "helped Israel take down nearly all of the incoming drones and missiles." He also announced that he "will convene my fellow G7 leaders to coordinate a united diplomatic response to Iran’s brazen attack."

But an American official told CNN that Biden told Netanyahu that the United States will not participate in offensive operations against Iran.

Another official revealed that US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin asked Israeli Security Minister Yoav Gallant in a phone call to notify Washington before any potential response to Iran's strikes.

Austin said the United States will take all the necessary measures to protect its forces in the Middle East, as well as "Israel", noting, however, that Washington is not seeking conflict with Iran.

He added that the US forces shot down "dozens of missiles and UAVs en route to Israel, launched from Iran, Iraq, Syria and Yemen."

Shortly after the Iranian retaliatory attack, the IRGC warned the US government that supporting or taking part in harming Iran's interests would result in a decisive and regrettable response by the Iranian Armed Forces.

It also held the United States responsible for the "evil" actions of the Israeli occupation regime, vowing that if the "child-killing regime" is not restrained in the region, it will bear the consequences.

The statement emphasized Iran's policy of good neighborliness with countries of the region but made it clear that any threat by the United States and "Israel" originating from any country would be met with a reciprocal and proportionate Iranian response to the source of the threat.

US worried about 'Israel's' response to Iran's attack: NBC News

NBC News cited a senior Biden administration official and a senior defense official as saying that top US officials are concerned that "Israel" might act swiftly in response to the Iranian attack without considering the potential consequences afterward.

According to the two officials, these concerns partly arise from the administration's perception of "Israel's" approach in its war on Gaza and the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

Three informed sources told NBC News that Biden has privately conveyed worries that Netanyahu might be attempting to involve the US more deeply in a wider conflict.

The US-based news website revealed that American officials have privately expressed frustration over "Israel's" attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria, believing that Israeli officials did not thoroughly consider the timing and consequences of the strike, including its potential impact on negotiations over a prisoner exchange deal with the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza.

"I don’t think they had a strategy," the senior Biden administration official indicated, pointing out that "the Israelis don’t always make the best strategic decisions."

NBC News also cited the senior defense official as saying that senior Pentagon officials have privately voiced concerns about the timing of the Damascus strike, as it had the potential to escalate tensions dramatically.

The defense official also described the Israeli occupation entity's approach to military operations as "frenetic".

"There’s this urgency to act," the official noted, "and that’s what happened in Damascus."

US President Joe Biden makes a statement on today's retaliatory Iranian attack on Israel, condemns it "in the strongest possible terms" and plans to give "a united diplomatic response." Here are main points:

    ▪️ Biden said he is calling for consultations with G7 allies on Sunday to work out a response to Iran's attacks on Israel;

    ▪️ Attacks on Israel have been launched from the territories of Iran, Yemen, Syria and Iraq;

    ▪️ US facilities or forces in the Middle East were not harmed;

▪️ Israel succeeded in shooting down nearly all

Iran at UN: Further Israeli mistakes to lead to more severe response
Iran's Mission to the United Nations said that in the ongoing confrontations between Iran and "Israel", the United States "must stay away."

In a post on X, the mission said that the wide-ranging attack launched by the country was in response to "Israel's" aggression against Iran's diplomatic premises in Damascus.

It said that the matter "can be deemed concluded."

Should the Israeli regime "make another mistake," Iran's response will be considerably more severe, the mission added.

"Conducted on the strength of Article 51 of the UN Charter pertaining to legitimate defense, Iran’s military action was in response to the Zionist regime’s aggression against our diplomatic premises." the mission stated.

"The U.S. MUST STAY AWAY!" it added.

UNSC fails to prevent regional escalation

Earlier on Thursday, Iran's Permanent Mission to the United Nations underlined the necessity of Tehran responding to the Israeli airstrike on its consulate in Damascus, which martyred seven Iranian military advisors, including Brigadier General martyr Mohammad Reza Zahedi, the leader of the IRGC's Quds Force in Syria and Lebanon.

Iran's diplomats stressed that if it were not for the impunity enjoyed by the Israeli occupation in the UN Security Council, and if the perpetrators of the attack on Iran's consulate in Syria were brought to justice, the Islamic Republic would not have found it necessary to retaliate against the Israeli occupation.

"Had the UN Security Council condemned the Zionist regime’s reprehensible act of aggression on our diplomatic premises in Damascus and subsequently brought to justice its perpetrators, the imperative for Iran to punish this rogue regime might have been obviated," the mission said in a brief statement.

IRGC launches promised attack on "Israel"

Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force announced that it targeted Israeli positions in occupied Palestine with dozens of drones and missiles, as part of the retaliatory response to the malicious Israeli crime against the Iranian embassy in Syria.

The IRGC's Aerospace Force announced that the operation dubbed "Truthful Promise" was launched in the context of "punishing the criminal Zionist regime."

The force said that the operation came "in response to the numerous evil crimes of the Zionist regime," including the attack on the embassy. It said that its forces, supported by other units of the Iranian Armed Forces, launched the "wide-ranging" military operation.

The statement added that the operation was conducted with the approval of the Supreme National Security Council and under the supervision of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, with the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the backing of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces.

"Details of this operation will soon draw the attention of the heroic Iranian people and the free peoples of the world," the statement concluded.

The Israelis are different. They're brittle, not used to this (at all), accustomed to getting their way whatever happens (the analogy is like the worldview of a spoiled child), and are unlikely to be able to tolerate being seriously at war for very long at all. How the Israeli government will respond is anyone's guess.
Is that from your personal experience? Have you been to Israel and/or got to know any Israelis personally and spent time with them to draw these conclusions? Or maybe it was Scott "hey look at me, I know everything" Ritter made you believe that? Who made you an expert on the Israelis?
Many thanks — and of course I'm no Israeli expert. (I know far more about Russia than Israel, for sure, and no, I've never been to Israel personally.) What I offered was my opinion based on quite a large number of news articles from many sources that I've been following closely for months.

We may quite soon know whether or not I was anywhere close. I'm not looking for an argument (or a fight! ), and I'd welcome your own much more experienced opinion. But I'm also happy to enlarge on my own views if anyone feels they may be of any value.

I would appreciate if you and everyone else on this forum stopped referring to the "Israeli" side involved in the Middle Eastern conflict as "Israelis this" and "Israelis that". "Israelis" means the people who live in Israel, they don't make decisions. They did not make the decision to let Hamas murder and kidnap Israelis on October 7th, they did not make the decision to bomb the **** out of Gaza and create an enormous humanitarian crisis while returning almost no Israeli prisoners after 6 months. Israeli ruling elite did that. These people answer to no one besides their psychopathic overlords who sit in London City.

The vast majority of Israeli citizens are fed up with what the Israeli government is doing, myself included.

I would not call Al Jazeera a very reliable source of information. Or ex-CIA analysts for that matter.

Saying Israelis Iranians, Russians, or Ukrainians is playing into the psychopathic elite's hands and fulfilling their plans to pit us against each other.

I thought this forum was all about uniting against the real enemy, the satanic Anglo-Saxon elites that sit in London and are trying their best to depop us so that, their masters, Anunaki can comfortably return to rule over us.
Its the same for Americans. Its a way of speaking, and intelligent people know that it refers to the Americans in power (or Israelies in power) and not the good people trying to stop the psychos. Sometimes language is like this. It may not be ideal, but we need awareness to know what people mean rather than look for errors in language technicalities and pretend those people are trying to divide and hate on sweetheart Israelis or whoever.

'Israelis' is short for Israel leaders in this context (and the Israeli people who happen to support them). Yea language is problematic like this, but non critical thinkers unable to hash out these nuances of reference are also problematic. Agreed it would be better if people said "Israeli leaders" instead of shortening it.

Assuming the satanic elites in London are the source is a similar issue to what you are complaining about. I doubt that is accurate either, so should I ask you to correct you error. Those who have turned to the dark side are in ALL countries. Nobody knows exactly how their ranking heirarchical system works. The top dog is probably not even on earth or maybe in some underground city. I dont even think 'he' is a physical entity. As far as humans, I think the best we can do is blame those who give orders through the World Bank.

Anyway. It appears Netanyahu admits they have failed to minimize civilian casualities in Gaza. Shaberon says, Israeli newspaper has admitted defeat? Not sure if that is what is referred to , but those 2 statements don't sound like the same thing to me. I haven't been following much though.

Anyone think there is anything to the theory that Israel wants to take part of ukraine and start moving people there? I heard this somewhere and didn't look into if its crazy or not. From what I just read, it seems a lot of the problem is the Arabs from surrounding countries all wanting to off the jews. Or at least that was the plan in 1947.

Might as well let Israelis all move to USA and canada. I mean, shoot, we just let in 12 million random people and sleeper cells to infiltrate us. I wouldn't mind having smart israeli people and mossad to come over and help us out with our problems. lol

The mission is expected to take place at 11:00 p.m. Moscow time

World cannot afford another war — UN secretary-general about Iran’s attack

Antonio Guterres urged "all parties to exercise maximum restraint to avoid any action that could lead to major military confrontations on multiple fronts in the Middle East"

UNITD NATIONS, April 14. /TASS/. The international community cannot afford another war, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said, commenting on Iran’s latest drone and missile attack on Israel.

"I am deeply alarmed about the very real danger of a devastating region-wide escalation. I urge all parties to exercise maximum restraint to avoid any action that could lead to major military confrontations on multiple fronts in the Middle East," he said. "I have repeatedly stressed that neither the region nor the world can afford another war."

Israeli Permanent Representative to the UN Gilad Erdan believes that Iran’s attack violates the UN Charter. At the same time, Iran’s mission to the UN said the attack came as a response to Israel’s attack on its diplomatic facilities In Syria and was carried out in line with the Charter’s clause on legitimate self-defense.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported late on Saturday that Iran had launched drones from its territory towards Israel. The Israeli military remained vigilant and tracked all targets approaching the country, the press service said. Later, missiles were also fired by Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), an elite force within the Iranian Armed Forces, later confirmed that a massive drone and missile attack on Israel was under way.

Again, if we're being picky about language, the media using the phrase "Iran's attack" rather than "Iran's response", muddies the water somewhat and may sway the gullible about Iran's part in this, which has been remarkably restrained imo. It remains to be seen whether Iran has the same right to defend itself as Israel. My heart goes out to the innocent Israeli people caught up in this manufactured conflict who, like us sitting at our computer screens, have absolutely no say in stopping their demonic leaders from ruining the world and everything in it.

While searching YouTube for the latest news in Israel I found this16 minute clip about October 7th. While much of this is already known, there are some details which I was unaware of:

I wouldn't mind having smart israeli people and mossad to come over and help us out with our problems. lol
NO! Please do not invite Mossad to Canada! (Although they're probably already here covertly... which would explain the destructive policies by the Turdeau regime.) I agree with some of what you have posted, but the notion of transferring that cancer to my country makes me ill. Just one example: Mossad is the Jeffrey Epstein's blackmail & human trafficking operation. As for Israelis in general, polls have shown that the great majority approve of killing Palestinians in Gaza, and that even more killing should be done. Isreali civilians even block desperately needed supplies from entering Gaza, knowing those Palestinians are starving. There are exceptions, like Israeli journalist Gideon Levy. Here's a 7 minute video where he explains the mental gymnastics that have established an apartheid Israel:

How Israelis Live So Easily With Occupation - Gideon Levy

I think that Bill's use of the word 'brittle' is quite accurate. History has shown us that avoidance of facing reality and pursuing mirages makes one fragile, and eventually ruined. This belief in being one of the 'chosen ones' won't go well in most other places on earth.

I wish that Israelis come to their senses now, and stop the madness of occupation, land theft, genocide, and apartheid, if they really want to save themselves.

This has got 'scripted' written all over it.

Why would Iran follow through with what America and the world has been broadcasting it's about to do ?

Juan O'Savin has been saying for at least 2 years that there will come a point where there will be a 'Cuban Missile Crisis' event to bring it to a head so Trump can step up and take charge.

Then, David Cameron turns up at Mar a Lago to meet with Trump last week and immediately the world is saying in perfect sync' "Iran is going to strike Israel'.

    Thank you Miller.

I hope your great heart can also include the younger brother of my father, who chose in 1943, 17 years old, to become part of the resistance against Nazi Germany’s occupation (AND the deportation of Jewish people, as of communists etc.) in spite of the fact that other boys his age had, sitting at their computer screens, absolutely no say in stopping their demonic leaders from ruining the world and everything in it because they kept sitting at their computer screens – because that was what his conscience told him to do – up to and including being left to rot to his death in the barracks of one of the Nazi concentration camps.

I would like to insert here on this April 16 a public apology to Miller for the wry irony I put into the words “your great heart”. I have apologised privately to Miller after receiving a PM expressing how hurt Miller felt. Still such a private apology is not enough. I should not have presumed so fast, and I should not have presumed. I do not wish to have the administrators delete the post, unless they would wish so, but rather leave it there because of the rest of the content and because it may help reminding me that I need to feel before I write.

I have for the whole duration of my professional life, and for the whole duration of my vocational life (which are still lasting) tried to wake up all people I engaged with to the truths and exhorted them to stop sitting at their computer screen. I did so taking both professional and vocational risks. Also – I have to admit – because I did not wish to bend to circumstances created by people whose cowardice, stupidity and evil glee I despised.

It is my experience that people are quite stubborn at remaining glued in front of their computer screen – especially if they are sure that their neighbour next-door will get the fallout or starve earlier than they themselves.

While searching YouTube for the latest news in Israel I found this16 minute clip about October 7th. While much of this is already known, there are some details which I was unaware of:
    • October 7 | Al Jazeera Investigations:

Hamas’s incursion into Israel on October 7 transformed the politics of the Middle East. Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit (I-Unit) has carried out a forensic analysis of the events of that day – examining seven hours of footage from CCTV, dashcams, personal phones and headcams of dead Hamas fighters, and drawing up a comprehensive list of those killed. In October 7, the I-Unit reveals widespread human rights abuses by Hamas fighters and others who followed them through the fence from Gaza into Israel. But the investigation also found that many of the worst stories that came out in the days following the attack were false. This was especially true of atrocities that were used repeatedly by politicians in Israel and the West to justify the ferocity of the bombardment of the Gaza Strip, such as the mass killing of babies and allegations of widespread and systematic rape. In particular the I-Unit reveals that claims by the Israel Defence Force that it found 8 burned babies at a house in Kibbutz Be’eri were entirely untrue. There were no babies in the house and the 12 civilians inside were killed by Israeli forces when they stormed the house. This was one of a number of incidents where the police and army appear to have killed Israeli citizens. October 7 is a deep dive into the events that led to the deaths of tens of thousands of people, the significance of which will reverberate for decades.

That's very honestly and fairly stated

As a counterpoint: I actually sat and watched a BBC News segment in the earlier hours - I sometimes do as a part of my "Propaganda Watch" discipline; identifying the enemy's weak points for deconstruction

The young newscaster stated at some point that (paraphrasing): "They'll be getting nervous and anxious in Tehran this evening."

Thank you Rizotto. Thank you for Gideon Levy’s speech. Thank you for your last sentence.

I would like to add to this – and in the spirit of Gideon Levy’s talk – let them finally be allowed by their cherrypicking God to intimately realise that they are the brothers and sisters of this Nuba boy from Southern Sudan, that Arhuaco girl from Columbia, that Yukaghir man from Siberia and this Lani woman from New Guinea.

Understanding that, in their hearts and minds, is the price for being called human.

As it is the price each of us needs to pay.

Love this Tintin. This is so true!

The whole idea of being the chosen people, of being the only people with “values” etc. raises an Iranian’s eyebrows – that is because their history is not a mythical fabrication. And moreover – they have learnt (as the people from India have – what am I saying: as all peoples of the earth have) not to “feel superior” for in their history having realised quite a number of cultural feats. They have created a culture that shares its wonders without counting and measuring – and are always happy at discovering the wonders of other cultures – which they welcome with wonder, a smile and sparkling eyes.

Interesting footage from inside the Iranian military command.

🇮🇷🇮🇱 Iran has released a video of the first minutes of Operation True Promise. Footage from the Iranian Armed Forces command post + footage of ballistic missiles being launched at Israel.

...and another reminder, although we don't really need it amongst the membership here because we've been wise to it forever: here the IDF appropriate footage from the Russian SMO and pass it off as the Iranian response from the early hours.

🤡 The Israeli army on its official Twitter account published archival footage of the fighting in Donbass, passing it off as an attack by Iran.

Might as well let Israelis all move to USA and canada......
BOOM! And here's why I'm not being at all flippant about that comment: about 21 years ago I was chatting with a dear good friend of mine - a university course lecturer and some-time entrepreneur - and the topic of how to solve the issue of Palestine came up.

His piece of gold solution: "Invite [move] all of them [Israeli population] to the US east coast."

I'd never forgotten that, and over time and particularly in light of the horrific escalation in violence against the Palestinians over the last six or so months, makes more sense than ever now. (Those that would want to go): they'd be welcome in the US, for sure, and the Palestinians can have their home back. Everyone - the populations that is, notso the leaderships: they'll be locked up - might be quite happy with that.

Jews Against Zionism are called/labeled as: "Self Hating Jews" by those who support ISRAELI policies no matter what ... But who are causing extreme hatred 24/7 now in Gaza/Palestine last 6 months? ... "Self Loving Jews"? ... More like self obsessed (fake) Jews judging real authentic Jews!

    Weird Reverse Psychology!
