PS My daughter is gay, and I marched at the head of the LGBTQ parade here in the Capitol city, which made news reports in the USA and caused me to lose my sister, an Evangelical who no longer speaks to me. So the comment above is not homophobic - just an example of how one group can achieve more power by assuming a larger profile than they might actually have.

Yesterday in the Judiciary committee, I asked AG Garland if Jack Smith’s Special Counsel office is even legal, and submitted former AG Meese’s amicus brief on that topic for the record. A few hours later, Judge Cannon agreed to allow that question to be debated in the courtroom.

Well said IMHO. One of the tricks straight out of the CIA/Anarchists manuals is to pretend that more people are on "your" side than really are. If they keep shouting out these nonsense ideas then they may win some part of their fight, and thus it cost them nearly nothing - just their morals, if they had any to begin with.

Judge Cannon is Now Considering Whether Jack Smith's Appointment as Special Counsel is 'Valid'

Judge Aileen Cannon, the judge presiding over Donald Trump's classified documents case, is expanding court hearings to determine whether Jack Smith's appointment as Special Counsel is legally valid.

The federal court is allowing three legal experts to make their cases on the complicating issue on June 21.

President Trump's legal team is arguing Smith's appointment is illegal because he was not employed by the federal government when he was made Special Counsel.

Trump's attorney Christopher Kise argued in a motion that Smith should be removed from the case.

"The Appointments Clause does not permit the attorney general to appoint, without Senate confirmation, a private citizen and like-minded political ally to wield the prosecutorial power of the United States. As such, Jack Smith lacks the authority to prosecute this action."

Well, I think we are beginning to see beyond the fog in regards to whether or not Biden will run at all.
His planting of damaging testimony from Hur in regard to his not prosecuting Biden because it was probably just a "lapse of memory or lapse of cognitive ability" will be employed, with his agreement, should his son's problems begin to become prosecutable. That way he could gracefully exit the scene in order to have Newsome for Pres and Big Mike for Vice Pres, and walla - all problems solved.
Pleading illness, with sympathetic Congress from the left side supporting him, it would allow him to keep all of his ill-gotten gains and still enjoy what's left of his life.
We had a similar instance in Costa Rica. The Pres. from several years ago was caught stealing. He left, citing a heart condition, and they decided never to prosecute him because of his illness. Five years later he ran and won a seat in Congress here, even though he had left political office for health reasons - stating that he felt a bit better.
I could see Joe eventually trying to sneak back in to Congress or the Senate.

I think the psychopaths are holding their breath hoping Biden will make it to November so they can cross the finish line one way or another defeating Trump by one way or another. Biden can hit the floor the next day, they don't care as they still hold power.
Just think about it, that would put Kamala as President! LOL......but she will not be the one calling the shots, just like Biden isn't really calling the shots. Biden's just a mumbling stumbling fool occasionally getting out of line from the real players making the plays. Kamala is really no different than Biden, they are both bought and paid for idiots who are playing by "the rules".
It's always been Obama from behind the scenes and his crew in plain view running the show in my opinion.

It's obvious to me they are willing to do anything to prevent Trump from winning this election, they will not stop at anything and are capable of anything, we really haven't seen anything yet, it's about to get much worse and probably will be beyond belief and quite extreme in my opinion. I wouldn't be surprised also if the Demon'cratic Party has a billion ballots already printed up and prepare to be stuffed into ballot boxes when the time is right.
Most of the Republican party is bought and paid for by these demons too as they just sit around and allow all this insanity to continue and escalate.

We've seen a lot of crazy stuff happen over the last several years, things are about to get even more insane.

This is not just about the destruction of the USA, this is about the whole planet.

That is how I am seeing it too - to want to start a nuclear war just to keep Trump out of power in the US is what it is looking like - and also at another level, an excellent way to cull the population and yes it would be planet wide....

I am beginning to think Merchan wants a mistrial so he doesn't have to sentence him. If he sends him to jail, does Trump raise $500mill more? and beat Joe Blow from Prison? How would it work with Trump in prison and with his seceret security detail? If he doesn't send him to jail the Dems and their pals in the media crucify Merchan...he gets the Dershowitz treatment...no more invites to the cocktails parties, etc. Plus his democrat donor daughter's career could be over if he doesn't send Trump to jail. The leftists hate when you deviate from the script...mistrial makes all those problems go away...not enough time for a new trial before the election...and last but not least...imagine how Merchan will fair when Trump wins in November?

Yea, a retrial will tie Trump up even longer and keep the Trump-Negative vibe going, in the faces of those who still might vote against him.

At this point there's no chance the opposition can win a straight election but they are so far down ( excluding fake poll numbers ) that they can't even steal it convincingly. They have to fill the news space with a lot of superficially bad stuff about Trump to be able to bull**** later that they beat him fair and square.

Even fake poll numbers need cover to be believable (ish).

Well, it's called a strategic retreat. They realized, after someone probably told them, that Trump did not after all fall in the ratings, nor did his fund of contributions dry up. Hmmm. What to do next. We can't be seen to back off - that displays loss of control and power over the people. Oh, I know - let's manufacture a way to declare a mistrial - then back out gracefully - and carry on as if nothing happened - as if no lives were stressed, no Constitution wrecked, no laughing stock around the world.

If we look deeply into this incident, it may give us the tipping point evidence needed to put these creatures away.

Meanwhile, their new shifting-the-blame talking points will be that "we did not put him in jail after all - just showed him that everyone needs to obey the laws". While they are breaking them left and right. And they have all of us stressed again, as we discuss whether or not it is real.

Even if this is true, does it matter? I guess we're assuming the NY Supreme Court is functioning by the rule of law?

Nothing about this is trail has been "lawful". It's all been a sham. (You really can't make it up, no matter how jaded you are).

The NY Supreme Court may or may not be a functional institution -- who knows? All I know for sure is we're in a lawless land right now. The judicial system in New York is not playing by the rules, and they are flaunting their open disrespect for the Constitution and the law with every move. I trust the NY Supreme Court to rectify the corruption of the lower court as far as I can throw a bowling ball in the deep end of a swimming pool...
