In the Bible a strange image is painted when describing the events of the Garden of Eden. In the Garden of Eden account, Samael, the Angel of Mars, is said to have rode the serpent as the Angel of Death playing a part in corrupting Adam and Eve, the first earthly human beings. This is a metaphorical image depicting an early connection between beings from Mars and the earth just before the Atlantean continent rose.

My internet has been down for about 6 hours (due to tonight's CME, no doubt, and there is more coming from the Sun this weekend, so it may go down again, or the electricity), but I just got back online and saw this message from Gigi on Facebook:

"Hello All,
Thank-you to everyone who has reached out to Wolf and I in the past week. We were greatly affected by hurricane Helene but as of this week have finally been able to evacuate and are currently in a hotel.
We are very lucky to have survived with trees crushing many of the homes in our neighborhood. Much of the storm happened late at night giving people very little chance to react. Our creek did flood effectively washing out the roads out of our neighborhood.
The dams failing caused the small tributaries to turn into massive rivers that quickly filled with debris (like tractor trailers, pieces of homes, scrap metal etc.). The flood waters became a battering ram sheering and collapsing everything in their path.
Sadly, many of the hollers were washed away and the news is simply not reporting the actual number of fatalities. This kind of storm is unheard of for the region. It is true that the vast majority of the relief is coming from neighbors and citizens.
In our case, we lost power and internet/cell service late last Thursday late evening. By midday Friday good samaritans with chain saws cut the trees out of the entry to our neighborhood. If they had not done that we would still be trapped today as the city still has not fully cleared our area.
Most of the roadways out were impassable, as the power lines snapped and collapsed onto the road. Large pine trees were also tossed into the air and were dangling on power lines above the road. People were driving around like zombies unable to process the sheer level of destruction.
The looting also began less than 24 hours after the power went out. We do not live in Asheville proper, but people began to try to break into homes and vehicles very quickly, even in our more remote area.
By Friday night the water started to turn brown and slow to a trickle. It was shut off by the morning. We had a small hand-crank radio which broke the isolation and allowed us to figure out what was going on. We listened for hours to callers sharing their stories, some heart warming, but most were incredibly tragic.
On Saturday we packed up our car and tried to evacuate. However, with no service it was impossible to navigate out of the region. It seemed every road out had collapsed, or flooded. The roadways themselves were scattered with pieces of cars and houses that had loosened from their foundations. Sirens blared from every direction and non-stop convoys of emergency vehicles were pushing their way through the shoulders.
The terror and devastation that was occurring was so surreal that we decided it was best to try to just get back home. We also feared burning up what little gas we had. People who became stranded in their cars while trying to evacuate were making camp sites at gas stations and guarding the pumps. Unfortunately, we ended up burning up most of our gas but were able to return home.
On Sunday we heard a radio caller say that the town just north of us, Mars Hill, had power restored and some gas. It was a big risk, but we used what little gas we had to try get to Mars Hill and fill up. It payed off as we finally had enough gas to evacuate. Curfews are in place from 7am to 7pm so we left early Monday morning and headed for the coast.
Fortunately we are in a hotel that has internet so the Members Live Q&A is still scheduled for October 6th at 2pm!"
