Ever notice that the people that have the most elaborate dental hygiene routines usually have the worst teeth? And I'm including myself in that group too, btw, so please don't take offense. My teeth arent terrible but they've seen better days for sure. And I'm always experimenting with this or that - anything but what your average dentist would recommend.

All my friends that use standard dental products i.e. fluoride toothpaste and mouthwash, have zero or very few cavities and gleaming white teeth.

The people I've known or met over the years who use charcoal toothaste or oil pulling or some exotic homemade rinse ..they typically have poor teeth but are always eager to evangelize about their approach. Why is it that the people who are most eager to offer dental advice often have brown or yellow or gunmetal grey teeth?? Teeth are supposed to be white, and if they're not you need to rethink your approach. It ain't working!

I bring all this up because I've had gingivitis for years, and have tried every exotic option under the sun to remedy it, and they've all failed miserably. And on a whim I bought some standard, name brand stuff from the grocery store last week and it's working better than anything I've tried before! Go figure..

This isn't an advert for fluoride or any other chemical laden products, but it might just be a reminder that the answers are often where you'd least expect to find them
