The town of Gorlovka in the Donetsk People's Republic came under one of the most massive attacks from the Ukrainian Armed Forces overnight.

At least ten apartment buildings and private residences were shelled, some of them receiving direct hits, according to Sputnik's correspondent.

A civilian died as a result of the shelling, the mayor of Gorlovka, Ivan Prikhodko, has confirmed.

It is ridiculous to see American journalists, newspapers, TV and online platforms pretending not to know about the abuses the Donbass population is being subjected to by the Kiev regime, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on the NYT report about the brutal killing of a Russian prisoner of war in need of medical assistance.

She also noted that all the Kiev regime's atrocities have long been known. "These are open facts that American journalists do not say a word about," she told Russian media.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly submitted reports on human rights violations, the same documents were distributed at the UN Security Council, but the American media did everything to ignore this information.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban arrived in Russia's capital Moscow with a delegation on July 5 and held a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He called the visit the next stage of a peace mission, with the previous stage being his trip to Kiev on July 2. Orban said he intended to hold several "equally unexpected" meetings next week.

Peace will not come by itself, we need to work for it.

I was just discussing with Mr President today the ways to achieve peace.

I wanted to know what the shortest road to end the war is.

I wanted to hear Mr President’s opinion on three important questions, and I heard his opinion.

What does he think about the current peace initiatives?

What does he think about a ceasefire and peace talks, and in what succession can they be carried out?

And the third thing that interested me was Mr President’s vision of Europe after the war.

I am thankful to Mr President for this open and honest conversation.

In the recent two and a half years, there are practically no countries left that could contact both one and the other opposing parties.

Hungary is just one of such few countries.

This is why I was in Kiev this week, and this is why I am in Moscow now.

From my experience I understood that the positions are poles apart.

Very many steps are needed to be done to become closer to the end of the war.

However, we have made the most important step – we have established contact. And I will continue to work towards this end.

This was done by the Polish people—people who knew and saw how many Soviet soldiers were killed liberating Warsaw.

More than half a million were a few steps away from victory. We remember them.

Didn't we offer friendship to all the countries of the Axis Powers, putting peaceful life and good neighborliness above the pain inflicted on us?

For many decades, on every memorable date of that terrible war, we carefully selected our words so as not to offend the national feelings of the Germans, Austrians, Czechs, Romanians, our Balts, and even our Ukrainian brothers.

We referred to the executioners who wreaked havoc on Belarusian land as people without nationality and citizenship.

And what did we end up with? They are redefining the outcomes... Deranged."

Ukrainian intelligence intended to recruit a Russian military pilot for money and Italian citizenship to fly to Ukraine on a long-range strategic bomber Tu-22M3 of the Russian Armed Forces.
