Trump is extremely lucky! To me it appeared a bullet hit his ear or slightly hit the side of his head.

It sounded like a 22cal to me, probably a rifle.

This will cause fear in many to attend future Trump rallies.

This is a HUGE problem, Trump is in more danger than almost any one else on Earth. I blame all the hate from the left and MSM for this danger towards Trump.

Another huge problem is the failure to cover that roof that the shooter made it up on to take these shots. We haven't heard the last of this issue. This security failure is ginormous!!!!! A SS Agent sniper should of taken him out before he got a shot off to say the least. If they would of been on their A GAME the shooter would of never made it to that building to climb up on it!!!!!!!!!!

Dan, Dan, Dan. I have a lot of respect for him. However, he just removed 2 shields of protection for any political target by revealing source protection materials and possible means for getting thru security. Dumb.

Although my respect for his honesty and clarity is here, I now hear why I did not like listening to Dan overdoing the need and exposing the many avenues that an assassin could possibly penetrate, even if he wasn't directly specific. If you can't do anything about it with your words, silence is best.

I agree that the SS blew it Big Time. This also looks like there is a lack of bodies in the field, and why MTG has been working to get additional protection for The President, DJT, just as Dan has been talking about for at least 6 months, on so many of the possible threats to his life.

When a security detail is overloaded with so many enemy acquisition sites they have to be hyper vigilant and maintain that vision for long hours. In these many cases the only trump a security detail has over possible assassins is learning to listen for the aggression that those engaged in the act carry in their minds. It's there if you listen, and hopefully that is a training that is still available to those with life saving duties.

There obviously were not any drones or aircraft offering another set of eyes to the detail. That is an inexcusable omission because it is so necessary and because it is so inexpensive to man and operate, offering everyone an instant, added layer of protection.

This is why I did NOT speculate beyond today's events, Saturday, July 13, 2024, and what I saw and how my experiences have taught me to think out of the box.

For a person who is known for valuing speech, Dan needs to have a friend or someone in deep personal security give him another perspective. Don't hand assassins methods and means. Don't give them any ideas. In this case, whether he is aware of it or not, he did just that.

When looked at in just these few hours I now wonder if we can attribute the evil attempt solely to ignorance, incompetence or a plan, even if it is of an omission which allows a viable, outside-of-the-service corps threat to carry out an op. If you knew those intel services, looking the other way-while actually monitoring an assassination, is always an available tool in their arsenal. I sense.......I intuit.....I see.....We hear...

SHOOTER DISTANCE CALCULATION BASED ON SOUND:
The speed of sound, give or take based on ambient conditions, is 1,125 fps (feet per second). The speed of a 5.56 rifle round, give or take, is around 2,500 fps from a typical 16" rifle barrel, although it slows immediately after leaving the barrel and gets slower the farther it travels. We could hear from the reports that this was a semi-automatic rifle, not a bolt-action, so the barrel length was likely 16" or 18" at most. If we are recording the event very close to the point of impact, then we will hear the impact of the bullet first, followed by the report of the rifle shot. The time between these two audio events gives us a fairly accurate answer of the distance of the shooter. In the case of the assassination attempt on #Trump, audio analysis reveals 0.22 seconds between the impact and the rifle report (I just checked this myself). Doing the math (algebra), this comes out to about 450 feet of distance for the shooter, at which distance: 1) The bullets would take 0.18 seconds to arrive, and 2) The sound would take 0.4 seconds to arrive. The difference is 0.22 seconds, which is what we find in the audio file. CONCLUSION: Shooter was roughly 450 feet away, give or take, which is about 1.5 football fields away. Hence the difficulty of the shot. THANK GOD TRUMP survived the assassination attempt!

Dan Bongino, who knows Secret Service Presidential Detail work well, has been complaining loudly for a long time that the Biden administration's Secret Service head refuses to provide Trump with a full Presidential level security detail. Trump's threat profile is "off the charts", in Bongino's words.

Give it maybe 1 day, and after the MSM go through the motions of pretending to be appalled by the shooting etc, they'll be blaming Trump for it, because of the way he has "stirred hatred" or something like that.

Then, for the cherry on top, they'll start warning the public that "another January 6th event" might happen soon.

Almost a year ago a writer for NBC News mocked journalist Tucker Carlson for envisaging an assassination attempt on former US president Donald Trump.

"Tucker Carlson, the far-right media personality who was fired by Fox News earlier this year, claimed without evidence this week that the United States is 'speeding towards' the assassination of former President Donald Trump," the liberal media outlet sneered.

Today's event would seem to suggest there was some merit to Carlson's assessment, NBC's "conspiracy" claims notwithstanding.

Then this man gets up off the ground after having a bullet graze his head and makes the SS stop against all their grabbing and pulling so he can raise his fist and show the crowd he was alright. This is one of the most astonishing, incredible, and historic things I've ever seen.

Thankfully it wasn't the other alternative you mentioned.
