I make pistachio and peanut scale stick and tissue planes. Wonderful sense of achievement when they fly well.
Hats off to the guy for his build. It's through frivolous ideas like this that greater ideas are born.

Wow! Never heard of such small aircraft models, other than solid ones that would be cast/molded. Are you a watch maker or repairer in your day job!? ~8D Please say more, and maybe link to any forums or post pics or vids.

Some years ago, back when we could smoke in bars here in Alberta, I developed a small version of my main design, using the tear-out thin foiled paper when starting a new pack. Flew quite a few of them in the pool tables area of my then-fav bar, and they worked good.

The main design, half 8.5 x 11 with the square of duct tape for weight and cohesion, was an outside high speed throw. Big loops up 3 stories, gliding sometimes over 100 ft /30 m.

At one point, that same basic design got a cool upgrade by use of heavier paper. Art shops sell paper for water colours, and I settled on iirc “90 pound/lb” stuff. It holds folds much better. The (upward fold) wingtips got an s-ish shaped line (looking from above, with the front angling in and the back angling outwards.), that held the wings to a similar s-ish aerodynamic shape at the tips (looking from the side, front angling down and trailing edge up, and most of the wing span was massaged to that shape). That thing was a wild flier, flitting and unpredictable, sometimes end-gliding stablely inverted. Still an outdoors toy tho, as it had to be launched fast. The cigarette foil-paper could hold those s-folds too, so some of those made wacky flights in the bar.
