Default Past Future Predictions, Did They Know?

I have a fascination for old books on electronics and especially radio. A couple of days ago we were out in the Peak District UK and came across a second hand bookshop in which I found a bag full of old radio books. I refrained and only brought four! One of the books "Wireless" by P J Risdon with an Introduction by J A Fleming (inventor of the thermionic valve) dating from the 1920s is particularly interesting as, among it's content it speculates on future developments in wireless. These include television and it's social impact, direction finding, wireless transmission of photographs, remote control, unmanned bombing plane, etc. This is all in an era when radio was very new. In other publications and magazines of the same era I have come across similar content, even a picture in a 1920s radio magazine of a family sitting in front of a colour TV talking to another family in India with text running along the top of the screen (must find that picture).

This begs the question did "the powers that be" back in the 1920s know exactly what the future developments would be or may be they already had them. What do others think?

I find it very interesting that you found those old books and magazines. There is much to be gained by reading some of the older books. It is very probable that whoever wrote that had some access to previous cultures that very likely were very much more advanced in their understanding of what we call electronics. We are told that we are the most advanced culture that ever existed. I believe that is totally inaccurate.

There is abundant evidence provided in old books and photographs that indicate "antiquitech" was a very simple and powerful way to harness energy and frequencies as evidenced by the spires found on many of the magnificent old buildings found around the world. Most have been destroyed now, but some remain.

I understand what I am saying is controversial but there is evidence of a much different history that occurred. One that we were not taught about in school. I won't go into it any further as I want to keep your interesting thread on your topic. I am throwing my thoughts out on this as a possible explanation of why an author of a book called "Wireless" could be so prophetic in the 1920's.

I love this kind of thread, thanks for starting it, Tobor Knot.

Interesting! Human beings are entities with massive spiritual potential, psychic abilities and a vast pool of memories in their subconscious. The example you mentioned feels more like a higher mind insight of a person who has practiced their inner vision and imagination. Plus, all the technology we have today was available in Atlantis. Most of us if not all were there. Hence, some patterns are emerging from the subconscious as we follow similar steps.

Blaming everything on "the power that be" is the result of human conditioning. Our little egos love to have powerful enemies who control everything, so we can avoid taking responsibility and standing on our own feet.

Found the picture, this is from a 1928 Wireless Magazine a copy of which I have some where. It has all the elements of colour TV, live video call across the world and texting. Very prophetic for 1928.

Many may already have seen this, but it definitely belongs on this thread. It's a short clip of a 1974 interview with Arthur C. Clarke, who states with confidence how personal computers will soon all be miniaturized and personalized.

One day, a computer will fit on a desk (1974)

I remember reading in Popular Science magazine during 1970's that someday we would have a flat panel TV that we could hang on a wall.

Here are couple of Popular Science magazine issues that predicted the future:

AQUAPLANE June 1964: An ecstatic man rides the surf on his personal jet-drive aquaplane. DID IT HAPPEN? No. Well, a guy built one and put his plans in Popular Science, but this is one little piggy that never made it to market. One that did, however, was the invention of Norwegian-American Clayton Jacobson II, who is credited with creating the first ‘boatercycle’ in 1966. It tanked, but Jacobson’s next aquatic creation — released in 1973 for Kawasaki — had real (sea) legs. You know it as the jet ski.

EARLY AIRBUS July 1922: A diorama of a multideck passenger jet airliner, as dreamt up by American WWI fighter pilot Eddie Rickenbacker. DID IT HAPPEN? Yes! And while some of the predicted features (such as the ability to take off from water) never came to fruition, this depiction of a multideck airliner is quite close to at least one in our present-day reality: the Airbus A380, which has two passenger decks and a third for cargo.

I think it is much deeper than that, they might of known about steam power and other technologies in that league before they even colonized the Americas.

It might be explained in this Rumble video LINK below, but I defiantly found out about the technology they some how obtained through a documentary about the USA and the New Atlantis.

Anyway in: Francis Bacon: the Mastermind Behind America | Documentary... fast forward to [ 6:40 ] or watch the whole thing, the documentary is very interesting anyway.

That is very valuable possession you have in many ways!!! I couldn't help but notice that on the "television" the inscription "Glad to see you all" That may very likely infer that there is some sort of interaction between the watchers and the "television", or even more ominous would be the interpretation that whatever that box is, it is observing those viewing.

Then there is the odd phenomena of people watching the television of people watching a television. That is a repeated dream I had as a child, only it went on and on with endless watchers repeating in a fractal array.

One last thing that stands out is the background scenery which portrays possibly the Taj Mahal or another old world building. They appear to have spires or antiquitech, although I can't be sure of that.

There seems to be a bunch of symbolism in this seemingly simple and entertaining look into the possible future.

Remember the old saying "everything old is new again". That just might apply here. What fun stuff.

In anticipation of an inevitable soon-to-be "Predictions for 2026" thread, one prediction that actually came true.

4Chan 2019. He called himself an 'operator'. The few posts he made eerily predicted the coming of covid months before it was known. So possibly not a prediction per se, but a tip-off from a top insider (or maybe they were sh!tposting and just got lucky!) In either case, this is interesting.
