Bill, thanks for this. I have loved the story of Tippi for many years, and had lost track of her remarkable life. When I read your intro to the pics, though, I was thrown for a bit of a loop, as you were using the past tense to describe her; I breathed an incredible sigh of relief when I found that she is now a grown-up – and still with us! What a wonderful human being and her family, a family who documented her interactions with her “friends so well. We are all richer for their efforts.

While we’re on the subject of animal communicators, I’d like to draw your attention to the gifts of a lady named Anna Breytenbach. To call her a Dr. Doolittle is to sell her short, though, because the good doctor, for all of his “talk” with other species, was never able to heal the deep emotional and spiritual wounds suffered by any of them. Anna Breytenbach has.

The video linked to below is an excerpt from a longer documentary about her life. She has a truly exceptional gift, and she’s spent years using it to help fellow life forms on our planet. I am in awe of her powers and her great heart. I should also mention that the black leopard at the centre of the healing in this video had already exhausted the talents and capabilities of another famous “cat whisperer” at his ranch in South Africa. Her success in reaching “Diablo” had the man literally in tears. The short piece lasts only 13 minutes but, if you’re anything like me, you will be tearing up in astonishment by the time it’s over.

It is so interesting to me that many of these animals are considered dangerous and man killers. Yet, when approached with the love and trust of a child that paradigm is smashed. When animals are treated with mistrust, fear, and disrespect of course they will respond accordingly, they will mirror that. What a marvelous example of showing what a difference in consciousness and attitude can bring. And this can be applied to everything.

She is often described as being "at one with her surroundings" because she grew up in close connection with nature and wildlife. She spent the first ten years of her life living in the African wilderness, primarily in Namibia and Botswana, where her parents worked as wildlife photographers and filmmakers.
