Fake Tsunami

I had a dream last evening of a fake tsunami. I’m not sure if it was me or another that said, “Wake up. Get up.” The ’get up’ part was to break out of the dream so I’d remember. It was confirmation of this movie we’re in, and not to get super charged by all that’s happening in 3D.

The dream flashed in my mind several times this morning. The image wasn’t even a hologram or gif. (moving graphic) It was a convincing piece of artwork readying to crash upon all the screaming bodies trying to out run this tsunami curtain.

I saw (understood) it was a trick and faced it squarely. I called out to whoever and said, “It’s fake.” Then water trickled out of some holes which made their attempts even more pathetic.

It’s time to recognize how much creativity we have in/of this space.

On my walk yesterday, I saw smoke coming up from the trees. In no time there were ambers burning on a branch that laid across the power lines. I didn’t have a cell phone so I ran to the nearest neighbor. When I rang the doorbell, a machine came on with instructions to leave a message. So I gave a brief description and the telephone pole number to the doorbell.

That left me with high tailing it home (clearly a relative term) which is about half mile away or flag down a car where mid-morning traffic is light. Fortunately, someone came long.

I let out a girlie screech (shhh, our secret) and bolted when a fire ball explode while the good samaritan was still trying to convince someone, who clearly needed a second cup of coffee, that it was a real emergency.

I should’ve had her move a safer distance away, but it all happened so fast. She stopped just beyond the electrical fire which was around a bend. That complicated the situation because there’s no pull over area on the country road, so I kept watch for cars.

It wasn’t long before a couple more good samaritans came along to direct traffic, the neighbor with the talking door bell ran down with her cell phone, and the fire department and utility trucks were on the scene. Within a couple of hours electricity was restored.

Even though it’s a quiet country road, there’s a lot of activity that keeps things interesting.

Update on post #54255:

This was on Thursday evening (15 August). My Dad had a fall at 03:00 AEST Friday morning and was taken to hospital for observation. I’ve just returned from visiting him. He’s okay, just a little bit disoriented.

He doesn’t yet know that Helen (pictured in the above post) passed away at 08:05 on Friday. I’ve elected not to tell him that news right now - I want him to recover and get out of hospital as quickly as possible. When he’s discharged, I’ll break the news to him. Although, I fear it may devastate him.

Before I left the hospital, my Dad whispered in my ear and told me to keep the family legacy going. Ouch. He already knows…

So, forgive me in advance if I’m not as vocal or engaged in the forum as much as I’d like to be. My logins will be infrequent for a while. I’m going to need to do a lot of travelling back and forth from Upper Barron to Cairns (which means I need to hand over the reigns of managing the farm solely to my partner for a short while).
