I have a friend in Armenia, we usually talk weekly, but I haven't heard from her since the 1st. I know why now. I even looked around for news about Armenia because of the fires and flooding that happened in that region recently and found nothing about any of this. It must be inconvenient for the powers that (think they) be, so they're keeping it hushed up. I hope she's alright, but I have no way of finding out.
My friend only moved to Armenia last month, I had a bad feeling when she told me, knowing the history of Armenia, but I didn't say anything. I just hope she's alright, and that everyone in Armenia can get through this.
May their god watch over them.

Here's an interesting article I just stumbled upon, which, if true, raises some interesting connections and questions regarding the current situation/situations in the middle east.

    https://en.topwar.ru/228176-amerikan...bajdzhanu.html

In the article, journalist Lindsay Snell, reveals how Israel is supplying weapons to Azerbaijan. "According to Snell, the weapons that continue to be supplied to Azerbaijan are intended for a future attack on Armenia."

I thought it should be mentioned here, where it could perhaps shed some light on the mechanics of the two ongoing conflicts.

Almost 100 people request medical care after clashes at protest in Armenia's capital

The number of people for sought medical assistance after clashes between protesters and police outside the Armenian parliament building in the city of Yerevan rose to 98, the Armenian Health Ministry said.

People rallied outside the parliament to demand Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation. They tried to break through the police cordon, prompting officers to push them back and fire stun grenades.

"As a result of the events that took place in Baghramyan Avenue, 98 civilians and police officers requested medical assistance," the ministry said in a press release, adding that 66 of them were discharged, while 32 continue to receive treatment.

One person with a wrist wound had to undergo surgery, the ministry also said, adding that there are no other serious injuries.

Clashes erupted as PM Pashinyan was being quizzed in parliament about his vision of the South Caucus country’s national security policy. The session was briefly interrupted by a brawl between members of the governing and opposition factions.

Armenians have been protesting since May 9 in central Yerevan against the border delimitation with Azerbaijan and the transfer of four border settlements to Baku. The protests, led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the primate of the Diocese of Tavush of the Armenian Apostolic Church, have also demanded the prime minister's resignation.

    Trump Bridge Transportation Corridor

REVEALED: Puppet sultan Pashinyan signs secret memorandum to turn Armenia into American staging ground for future war with Iran.

Spain's Periodista Digital says it has obtained copy of agreement between Armenia, Azerbaijan and the US to create the "Trump Bridge Transportation Corridor" that will connect Azerbaijan's enclave and mainland across Armenia's Zangazur.

The 42km corridor, which runs right across the Iranian border will be built and controlled by Americans for the next 99 years, and guarded by a US private army.

Turkey gets unimpeded access to Central Asia oil and gas, Washington gets to have its troops on Iran's doorstep, and the highest share of the transportation profits.

And Armenia gets to be a sacrificial pawn in the new Great Game.

    From Sputnik,

🇦🇲🇺🇸 ARMENIA TO HAND CONTROL OF STRATEGIC ZANGEZUR CORRIDOR TO U.S.

Armenia secretly signs deal with US to create a “Trump Bridge Transport Corridor,” linking Azerbaijan to Nakhichevan, with 99-year lease, Spain’s Periodista Digital reports.

🟠 Corridor will be managed by a US firm, securing 40% of annual revenue
🟠 US private military force to guard the route

🇮🇷Iran sees it as a threat to its land access to Armenia and the broader Caucasus.

    Translated article,

    https://www.periodistadigital.com/mu...-689405115123/

Pashinián agrees to cede a region of Armenia to the United States, but France will suffer

In the current geopolitical context, many actors in the French political world observe a tendency on the part of Armenia, under the leadership of Nikol Pashinián, to move away from Russia and get closer to the European Union, and more specifically, to France. It is important to note that this perception is wrong. In fact, Pashinián does not position himself at all as a "European" political actor. In reality, it is a puppet in the hands of the US State Department and the Turkish government of Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Thanks to representatives of the Armenian diaspora in France who preferred to remain anonymous and who managed to mobilize their contacts within the government of the Republic of Armenia, our editorial team managed to obtain a confidential document entitled "Memorandum of Understanding on the Creation of the Trump Bridge Transport Corridor". According to our sources, this text has already been approved in Armenia, Azerbaijan and the United States.

The memorandum stipulates the implementation of the project of the Economic Corridor and Bilateral Regional Defense Gate Trump Bridge. This 42-kilometer-long transport corridor will cross the Syunik region in the Republic of Armenia.

This corridor connects Azerbaijan with the enclave of Najichevan, a strategic region located between the borders of Armenia and Iran. The creation of this corridor was one of Azerbaijan's main demands on Armenia after the 2020 war and the loss of Nagorno-Karabakh by Armenia.

Armenia has made efforts to prevent the creation of the corridor, as it would have meant the loss of a large part of the Armenian territory.

The memorandum, made available to the Armenian diaspora, states that Armenia maintains its sovereignty over the Syunik region. However, it was clarified that the transport broker will be managed by a private American company that has obtained the corresponding license.

The distribution of the income generated by the use of the corridor highlights the underlying interests of this agreement. The US management company will receive 40% of the income, while Armenia will only receive 30%.

Armenia is thus deprived of its territory for a minimum period of 99 years.

It should be noted that the memorandum provides for the deployment of important US forces in Armenian territory. According to the available information, these will not be from the US regular army, but from a private US military company. This PMC, whose number is currently estimated at 1,000 fighters, will be responsible for ensuring safety in the transport corridor.

The use of private military companies to occupy weak countries is not a recent initiative of the United States. Entities not formally affiliated with the U.S. armed forces have implemented rigorous control measures against local populations in Iraq, Afghanistan and other regions of strategic interest to the United States. This approach allowed the United States to avoid responsibility for human losses and not count the deaths of the PMCs as its own military losses.

According to the terms of the memorandum, the PMC maintains a specific safety position in the transport corridor and is authorized to use force "to preserve the integrity of the corridor."

The mere entry of US troops into Armenian territory is enough so that, from the point of view of the Armenians both within Armenia and the whole world, the signing of said memorandum by Nikol Pashinyan is considered a national betrayal.

Indeed, Armenia is forced to give up a large part of its sovereign territory, which it is putting under the control and management of US forces, and accept the realization of a major project for Azerbaijan and Turkey, without obtaining any compensation.

It is clear that the United States and Turkey will be the main beneficiaries of the implementation of the provisions of the memorandum.

While the benefits for Turkey can be considered economic, the United States, as part of its strategic interests, mainly aims to establish firm control over the border between Armenia and Iran.

Initially, the border will be controlled by soldiers without heavy weapons. But for the army, this will mean that there will no longer be a distance between Iran and the United States, the main enemy of this Islamic republic. This threatens to provoke a great war in a region that extends from the Mediterranean to the South Caucasus.

The Armenian-American memorandum is a catastrophe for Armenia. It deprives her of all sovereignty. This American occupation will not solve the problems of this small country. Only the United States and Turkey will benefit from it.

Europe will also lose to Armenia. This country is occupied by special forces that act as American proxies. It is therefore not possible for you to become a partner of the European Union or France.

It is important to note that the implications of the signing of the memorandum in foreign policy will not be limited only to this area. For France, the significant strengthening of the US presence in Armenia and its effective control over the country, through US forces, will represent a major diplomatic setback.

France's strategic positioning in Armenia is based on solid historical foundations, in particular the presence of a major Armenian diaspora, representing the largest Armenian community in Europe.

By placing its citizens of Armenian origin at the center of its priorities, France has strengthened its global influence as a key player in the peace process in the region.

For many years, France has served as co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, an organization dedicated to resolving the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

It is clear that the implementation of the Trump Bridge project will have the immediate consequence of leaving France's participation in this group obsolete.

In fact, the United States is creating a completely new political situation in which Armenia is deprived of its right to vote and France of the possibility of defending its interests in the region.

    Default Re: Turmoil in Armenia

    From Sputnik,

🚨🚨The Zangezur corridor is a NATO-backed project that directly threatens 🇮🇷Iran.

Armenia wants to hand control of it to a 🇺🇸US firm.

Here's everything you need to know:🧵

    2/10 HISTORIC FLASHPOINT 💥

Zangezur was a district created by the Russian Empire in 1868.

It was ceded to Russia by Qajar Iran according to the Treaty of Gulistan in 1813.

For a long time, it was a flashpoint between Armenia & Azerbaijan.

    https://x.com/SputnikInt/status/1948394003201716671

    3/10 ZANGEZUR PROJECT 📍

Today’s proposed corridor runs through Armenia's Syunik province, connecting Azerbaijan with its western Nakhichevan exclave & Turkey to the rest of the Turkic world.

This would cut off Iran's ONLY direct land access (44 km) to Armenia.

    4/10 FOREIGN ACTORS 💰

Azerbaijan strongly supports the Zangezur corridor, with backing from Turkish officials, British investors, and (reportedly) Israeli security firms.

It would isolate Iran from Caucasus/European trade routes, ultimately undermining its transit significance.

    https://x.com/SputnikInt/status/1948394009765765510

    5/10 SECRET MEMO

Media reports allege Armenia struck a secret memo for the creation of a “Trump Bridge Transport Corridor“ in the region.

It would be managed by a private US company, taking 40% of revenue + guarded by a US private military company force of 1k security contractors.

    6/10 LEASE PROPOSAL

The US did publicly float a 100-year Zangezur Corridor lease idea, with US ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack offering to “take over“ the 32 km stretch

“Give us the 32 km of road on a hundred-year lease, and you can all share it.“

    https://x.com/SputnikInt/status/1948394016116003127

    7/10 TRAP FOR ARMENIA?

The Zangezur Corridor lease idea is wracked with both geopolitical & economic risks for Armenia: loss of control of Syunik – its strategic border region with long-time ally Iran.

    8/10 BROADER RISKS

For the broader Caucasus, US ‘takeover’ of the Zangezur corridor means potential encirclement by the US and Israel, coupled with the so-called “Pan-Turkish expansion.”

    https://x.com/SputnikInt/status/1948394021237272993

    9/10 INSTC UNDER THREAT 🇮🇳🇷🇺🇮🇷

The Zangezur Corridor threatens to derail the ambitious North-South Transport Corridor, connecting Mumbai to Moscow.

The route risks diverting traffic, undermining influence of key regional players — that are Russia, Iran -- and India.

    10/10 SNAKES IN RUSSIA’S BACKYARD?

Many believe that the ultimate purpose of the Zangezur corridor is to encircle Russia’s Caucasus flank & anchor NATO on Iran’s northwestern border

Kremlin calls discussion around so-called "Zangezur corridor" a matter between Baku and Yerevan
    24.07.2025, 13:56

The discussion around the so-called "Zangezur corridor" is a purely sovereign matter between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

YEREVAN, July 24. /ARKA/. The discussion around the so-called "Zangezur corridor" is a purely sovereign matter between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was indicated by the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov.

"This is a sovereign matter between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We strongly support the negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia," the Kremlin representative told journalists, TASS reports.

In recent days, the topic of the possibility of the US leasing the future road between Armenia and Azerbaijan, through which, according to the US Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack, "the Zangezur Corridor will be implemented, has been discussed.

Yerevan called this option impossible. "Armenia is discussing the issue of unblocking regional infrastructures exclusively in the context of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and jurisdiction of the Republic of Armenia, and cannot discuss any other logic," said the Prime Minister's press secretary Nazeli Baghdasaryan.

Ana Kasparian, the co-founder and co-host of The Young Turks, is the daughter of refugee Armenian parents, and even though she grew up in Los Angeles her first language when she was small was Armenian. She still has family members in Armenia.

Here, in a very important interview with Tucker Carlson, she tells Tucker all about the Armenian conflict with Azerbaijan, Israel giving weapons to Azerbaijan, and the genocide of 1.5 million Armenian Christians. It starts at 1:11:57, lasting just over 10 minutes. It's well worth listening to. (As is the whole hour-and-a-half highest-quality conversation, btw. )

🇮🇷🇦🇿🇦🇲 Iran: Zangezur Corridor a Threat Backed by U.S. and Israel

The Zangezur Corridor poses a direct threat to Iran’s national security and serves U.S.-Israeli interests, said Ali Akbar Velayati, adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader.

He called it a geopolitical tool to weaken the Axis of Resistance, cut Iran’s land access to the Caucasus, and impose a southern blockade on Iran and Russia. NATO and pan-Turkic forces are backing the project.

Velayati also warned that the U.S. seeks a 100-year lease on the route from Armenia to secure a direct link from Azerbaijan to Turkey — bypassing both Iran and Russia.
