For years, during my childhood and adolescence, I dreamed of volcanoes that woke up everywhere. We packed our bags in a hurry to escape the eruptions. And then it became dreams of tsunamis, with huge waves coming in and having to escape.

I am afraid that we have entered this phase of activity where these disasters will be followed at a great pace...

The amount of water that has fallen this year and continues to fall regularly is incredible. Hurricane Kirk will likely hit some areas in France hard and we already have warnings of rain and flooding coming up for the next week. I think not a week goes by without some regions having weather alerts now.

The French Riviera, meanwhile, has experienced 2 earthquakes in a few weeks. Although light, (4,3 in september 2,1 in october) it does not seem to me a good omen for this region which is at risk from this point of view. My neighbour had the good fortune to meet Haroun Tazieff, a famous volcanologist, on a train many years ago. He told him that there was every chance that the French Riviera would be devastated by a major earthquake in the next 30/40 years... And I’m not sure he took the CME into account at the time!

I had an unforgettable, very haunting lucid dream about a huge tsunami inundating the California coast, and I've known others who have had similar dreams.
One big reason why I moved inland!
