Not knowing how private this message is, here it goes. I could be way off base, which is why I am sending this privately. I initially worded it as a post but I do not want to stir the pot.

It seems that many of the mods are losing confidence in Bill. I have to wonder why? The quotes below are from Charles and Bill’s interview of him. Is it just me? Or does anyone else feel like Charles is very good at his job and really didn’t have a change of heart. He doesn’t acknowledge right or wrong.

Was this his idea of a fair game to let us all tear each other and Bill apart?

Quotes from Charles:

When someone tells you who they are you should believe them. Have you considered this? I imagine you have.

That is exactly what came into my mind when watching the interview a second time, Charles is doing just what he said he would do!

I wanted to see how far this would go, was happy to vote for the 18 and get to this new site to see what kind of disclosure he had but. alas, I think he has shot himself in the foot.

He thought he could outplay Bill at chess. He thought he knew how Bill would react - being a stand up guy and all that. I think Bill has surprised him!

Be interesting to see what Charles' next move is. He is subscribed as a member at Richards site....

Be interesting to see what Charles' next move is. He is subscribed as a member at Richards new site....

Isn't Richard's new site the same as Charles' site? Surely Richard isn't going to admin two of them?

Things can move quickly though.

One thing I do agree with: let's get the 18 sorted out and OFF Avalon.

This will complete the process of separation, and we can return to business as usual around here.

At the risk of abusing some corporate speak, this is a win/win situation.

What, if anything, is stopping this from happening now?

Perhaps a question for a new or other thread.

One may have to get over automatically assuming people are associating car sleep with poverty. .......?

I've many times had to sleep in a car , and have chose to do so when camping or whatever. However I don't have to leave said car, run around with a camera all day after freezing arse off, or having transmission bump balled up into my back and having my legs stuck out the window, and then proceeded to have a full day of interviewing and associations with large crowds of people.

That is why I stated, " someone who does what Bill does." Which is run around with a camera, interview and interact with people all day. No one stated that Bill should be offered a host network because he was poverty stricken. Does someone need to be in poverty before we extend good will to them?

I think its perfectly rational to expect someone may prefer a warm bed and a good nights rest before a hectic day rather than being balled up in a car, no matter how mountaineering one is. If" mountaineering" in a car keeps Bill on top of his game by all means Bill should do whatever makes him comfortable. In fact I dare say any of us could find the darkest, dankiest draftiest corner of a place to stick him into that would make a car seem luxurious.

I travel quite a lot myself and I'm more apt to feel better about what I'm doing in comfortable conditions. I'm not one to equate discomfort with doing a best job possible. A great part of what we do is how we are feeling when we are doing it.

Neither do I equate making someone's task a little easier as extending charity to the poverty stricken.

I'm sure that we would have no problems creating a host system for Bill.

Well.... Just before you cry to many tears:

Bill was a mountaineer.

This picture is from his album and shows him in the Himalayas. He loves unusual situations and adventures...

To sleep in the car with a sleeping bag instead of taking a room in a Hotel was his own choice and certainly no drama.

I sleep in my car a lot of the time, and I own my own home! (No, I do not sleep in my own garage - lol)

To people who sleep OUTSIDE by choice, through Hiking/Tramping/Mountaineering, etc, a car is LUXURY.

Anyway, what truly concerned me is that he had to keep the engine running to keep warm.

Bill either chose the wrong bag to take or he really needs to invest in a new Alpine rated down bag!



Generally, when I run the engine, it is to ensure I have enough electricity to start the car the next morning. All the electronic gadgets sure are hungry

I really don't know the ins and outs. The site where the ex Avalonians are is apparently Richard's, who has owned it for two years. Invites have been sent out to certain ones from what I can tell there.

I doubt that is the site that Charles was bidding for but only a select few seem to know the facts. Myself, I don't think Charles is kosher, too many delays, too much playing around and causing division and in fighting. I was only ever interested because of Bill's recommendation. That’s where my trust lies; I will follow his lead.

Bill is genuine and has been around the block once or twice, thank god he has a will of steel when needed! Being in charge is an unpopular job; some people can’t get to grips with that.

I could be proven wrong about Charles, time will tell…

Whist being relatively new here in the grand scheme of all things Avalon, i have been witness to many other forum struggles in the past and no doubt will see more in the future. The events of late will rumble on for a few days and there may be many more shots across the bow until the realisation is made that Avalon is Bill Ryan and therefore cannot be unseated. The quicker you focus your energy on the things you love rather than the hurt that has been directed at you then things will normalise again. To be able to move on quickly and refocus is key, don’t dwell on the events to heavily and take as much positivity out of the situation as you can it’s a learning curve and we are never done with the curve

Your site = your rules, your way, your decisions at the end of the day. People are free to leave at any time of their choosing. Being the owner of a very successful site has a magnetic effect upon such owners, in that you want more traffic, more users, more exposure and more growth it justifies all the work that you put in. It’s rewarding and proves that you on the right track with your project overall.

Please correct me if i am wrong but it is completely crystal clear that the intention was to at least take this forum away from you.

How anyone could try to take Avalon away from you is nothing short of disgraceful in my opinion the fact you was locked out of your own ACP is absolutely disgusting to say the least. Resignation would certainly hand the egotistical departed a manner of victory and as my father used to say to me

Thanks Bill for bringing us up to speed it is highly appreciated and i guess we need to pick you up a little now and get you back fully fighting fit and steering the good ship Avalon into calmer seas. Then you can continue with what you do best without all the trials and tribulations.

I read Bill's personal history with its inclusion of Outward Bound for at risk teens, exploration of the healthier branch of mind tech called Ron's Org and his deep overarching interest in quantum physics and the many nebulous routes that subject takes and decided it might be worth the energy risk to join the forum. The tipping point for me was the absolute lack of "diabolical" advertising. Bill could be milking the sites traffic but doesn't. His journey to this inside/outside observer is a slow relentless deliberate cautious inexorable pathway to truth of self others and the so called "universe."

I restrict my over abundant energy by reminding myself moment by moment that I am a guest in his house. In any process that involves continuous decisions that turn into processes someone must hold the two rubber stamps that say approved and canceled. A certain percentage of decisions work out and others are revisited and amended organically. Now is a revisiting-amending time and that is part of a healthy process. It's Bill's house and we are his treasured guests.
Sometimes it sucks to be the leader but that's the price of progress on the long and winding road of living the dream. Always the dream gets slightly better and the problems get slightly more interesting; but life goes on with or without us.

Lot of deep thinkers and playful spirits here from around the globe; a good mix.

Yes he is like many others a survivor spirit !

Many have this skill but that dose not mean we should live like that, just because we can.
