The Biden regime was the darkest period in American history.

    I lost my job.
I was constantly threatened with lawsuits.
They tried to kill my mother in a hospital during COVID.
    I was under FBI surveillance.

I don't think I've slept well for four years.

    I will have justice.

thanks for being willing to engage my question
Regarding the aftermath (and I've added that to the thread title), Judge Napolitano and Col. Douglas Macgregor are right now (at the start of the video) discussing many of the issues you and many others feel unsure and concerned about — here regarding foreign policy, Israel, and the continuity of overseas wars.

My own viewpoint is similar to Macgregor's: we just have to be patient right now, and see what Trump will actually do once he's Commander-in-Chief again.

Trump will have a lot more power to make changes this time than if he 'won' in 2020

Chris Wallace just drained the energy from CNN's studio, announcing Trump may soon have the chance to reshape the U.S. government.

    1. “If Donald Trump is elected president, it means that they can confirm, without any Democratic votes, any appointment he makes to his Cabinet, to the government, to the Supreme Court, should there be a vacancy. It's an enormous advantage to a president.”

    2. “In the House, although that hasn't been decided yet, the Republicans have flipped three Democratic seats. The Democrats haven't flipped a single Republican seat.”

    3. “So there is the possibility here of a complete, united Republican government with Donald Trump as the president and with a Republican House and Senate, which means that in terms of appointments, in terms of immigration policy, economic policy, environmental policy, you name it, he could have a pretty blank check.”

Wow - what planet are these people living on, although some may be justifiably worried:

'‘Goodbye, America’: celebrities react to Donald Trump’s election win
Cardi B, John Cusack and Stephen King are among names sharing anger and disappointment over US election result

    https://www.theguardian.com/culture/...p-win-election

Celebrities have shared their disappointment and anger over Donald Trump’s re-election as president.

The Republican’s Tuesday victory over opponent Kamala Harris sent shock waves throughout Hollywood after the Democratic candidate ran a campaign filled with A-list names including Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Bruce Springsteen and Julia Roberts.

The Don’t Look Up director Adam McKay expressed frustration with how the past year has been handled by the Democratic party. “Who would have guessed lying about Biden’s cognitive health for 2 yrs, refusing to do an open convention for a new nominee, never mentioning public healthcare & embracing fracking, the Cheneys & a yr long slaughter of children in Gaza wouldn’t be a winning strategy?” he wrote. He later added: “It is time to abandon the Dem Party.”

Rapper Cardi B, who had appeared at a rally for Harris, shared an Instagram video of herself watching the results with the caption: “I hate y’all bad.” When asked if she would appear at Trump’s inauguration during an Instagram live, she said: “I’m sick of you! Burn your ****ing hats, mother****er. I’m really sad. I swear to God I’m really sad.”

In a lengthy Instagram post, Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis wrote that it would be “a return to a more restrictive, some fear draconian time” and that minority groups will now be more afraid. “But what it really means is that we wake up and fight,” she wrote. “Fight for women and our children and their futures and fight against tyranny, one day at a time. One fight at a time. One protest at a time. That’s what it means to be an American.”

Actor John Cusack, who has long been politically outspoken online, wrote: “The fact that the country would choose to destroy itself by voting in a convicted felon rapist and Nazi is a sign of deep nihilism. To put it mildly.”

Christina Applegate, star of Dead to Me and Married … with Children, conveyed her upset over the effect the result will have on women. “My child is sobbing because her rights as a woman may be taken away,” she wrote. “Why? And if you disagree, please unfollow me.”

The Wire actor Wendell Pierce congratulated Harris for running “a great campaign” and warned of what will now happen under Trump. “Elections have consequences,” he wrote. “The Supreme Court will be changed for a generation. I’ll never see a moderate court again in my lifetime.” He also criticised Trump’s “racism, misogyny, xenophobia”.

Author Stephen King shared the following: “There’s a sign you can see in many shops that sell beautiful but fragile items: LOVELY TO LOOK AT, DELIGHTFUL TO HOLD, BUT ONCE YOU BREAK IT, THEN IT’S SOLD. You can say the same about democracy.”

Duncan Jones, director of Moon and son of David Bowie, posted that he was feeling “very Brexity” while expressing pessimism over the millions who voted for Trump. “I think we may have overestimated the goodness in people,” he wrote.

Singer Ethel Cain called the situation “bleak” and had a strongly worded message for Trump voters. “If you voted for Trump, I hope that peace never finds you,” she wrote. “Instead, I hope clarity strikes you someday like a clap of lightning and you have to live the rest of your life with the knowledge and guilt of what you’ve done and who you are as a person.”

On The View, Whoopi Goldberg, who has been outspoken about her feelings on Trump, said: “He’s the president. I’m still not going to say his name. That’s not going to change.” Her co-host Sunny Hostin said she was “profoundly disturbed” by the result.

The British author Philip Pullman simply wrote: “Goodbye, America. It was nice knowing you.” '

Trump will sanction Iran again. Financial support for Hezbollah, Hamas and every other Iranian proxy will dry up.
Ceasefire and withdrawal from Gaza and the PA possibly accepting, at last, the right of Israel to exist in peace.

The great thing is, now that Trump is President Elect, is that we get MAGA no matter what happens to Trump.

I can finally let out a giant, four years in the making, collective sigh of relief.

Who is at fault for the disconnect?

I play ice hockey with a group of guys. My locker room is always discussing politics and world events, the other locker room not so, and if they are, they are usually the liberals and Biden voters.

The guys in my locker room who were all celebrating this morning have heard of things like the WEF, Building 7, Maui Fire controversy etc, Operation Northwoods and so on. However, the other group dont know about that stuff and if they hear it, they say, crazy doug with his conspiracy theories etc.

So is it these individuals at fault for being ignorant or even worse, willfully ignorant? Are we now coming to terms with a very corrupt and dysfunctional media that has caused this divide?

Its amazing, that all these guys, we pretty much live the same lives, work, earn money, raise children and want the best for their families.
    So why this humongous divide?

    I say the corrupt media.

    thoughts?

How America Became Unburdened By What Has Been

    by Tyler Durden
    Wednesday, Nov 06, 2024 - 10:45 AM
Authored by Andrew Korybko via Substack,

Trump just beat Kamala despite the formidable odds that were against him.

He survived two assassination attempts, withstood the government’s lawfare, and is on track to secure the popular vote even though the legacy media was fully in support of his opponent.

Speaking of her, she’s infamous for repeating her phrase about America becoming “unburdened by what has been”, which means moving past the Trump era.

Ironically, the country just moved past her, and here’s how it happened:

    1. “It’s The Economy, Stupid!”

Democrat consultant James Carville famously coined the abovementioned phrase in reference to the most important electoral issue for most Americans. It still rings true to this day since the majority of the country is worse off after four years of the Biden-Harris Administration than it was after Trump’s first term. It doesn’t matter what the reasons for that are since such developments strongly work against incumbents. Americans accordingly voted to bring back the golden economy that Trump ushered in.

    2. Immigration, Both Legal & Illegal, Is Out Of Control

Immigration is always a hot button issue, but it was even more so during this election due to the unprecedented influx of illegal immigrants that invaded the country under Biden and viral reports of legal Haitian immigrants brought in by the government eating people’s pets in Ohio. Trump pledged to crack down on the illegal component and more properly vet those who come into the country via legal channels to ensure that they’ll assimilate and integrate. This approach is wildly popular with Americans.

    3. Folks Are Afraid Of World War III

Americans have never been as afraid of World War III as they are now. The NATO-Russian proxy war in Ukraine and the back-and-forth Israeli-Iranian strikes, each of which have the potential to spiral into the apocalypse in the worst-case scenario, were unthinkable under Trump. He promised to do his utmost to bring peace to Europe and the Mideast if he’s re-elected while Kamala promised more of the same policies that brought the world to the brink of war. A vote for Trump therefore became a vote for peace.

    4. The Media’s Smears Against Trump No Longer Work

The past eight and a half years of the legacy media’s smears against Trump no longer have the effect that they used to in manipulating voters’ perceptions of him and have even become counterproductive. The more that they accuse Trump of being a “Nazi” or whatever else, the less that people care. Their celebrity surrogates are just as bad, and some like Mark Cuban dealt a powerful blow to their cause by viciously attacking Trump’s female supporters in what can be seen as this year’s “October Surprise”.

    5. Musk Restored Freedom Of Speech Online

The preceding points are all important, but they wouldn’t have led to Trump’s victory had Elon Musk not restored freedom of speech online by buying Twitter. Americans were then able to share news about the election without fear of censorship, which showed them that they weren’t alone in questioning the Biden Administration and legacy media’s false claims. Those two were also debunked in real time. Had it not been for Musk, then their lies would have proliferated unchallenged, likely reshaping the election.

    6. Musk, RFK, & Tulsi Made It Cool To Defect From The Democrats

Musk, RFK, and Tulsi Gabbard are former Democrats who defected from the party in protest of what it’d become, namely a radical liberal–globalist ideological movement that totally severed its perceived roots with the working class. They all eventually rallied behind Trump, which made it cool for other Democrats to defect from the party too and helped win him some of the Independent vote that took him over the edge in key swing states. He couldn’t have won had it not been for this unity coalition.

    7. The Amish & Poles Helped Trump Pull Ahead In Pennsylvania

The Keystone State became the key to Trump’s victory this time around, and he has the Amish and Poles to thank for that. Scott Presler, the one-time chairman of Gays for Trump, played an indispensable role in mobilizing the first while the Posobiec Brothers (popular conservative commentator Jack and his brother Kevin) recruited their fellow co-ethnics from the second in their home state. The combination of these two, both groups and activists, guaranteed Trump’s victory there.

    8. The Republicans’ GOTV Campaign Made All The Difference

The Republicans were determined to make Trump’s lead “too big to rig” after being convinced that he was defrauded out of his rightful second term during the last election. To that end, they embraced early voting and harvested ballots as enthusiastically as their Democrat rivals did four years ago, knowing that literally every vote counts and not wanting to miss a single one. This made all the difference by preemptively averting speculative scenarios by which Trump could have been defrauded yet again.

    9. Abortion Is No Longer An Issue In Presidential Elections

The Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe vs. Wade in mid-2022 made abortion a states’ rights issue, which took the wind out of its former sails as a federal one and thus made it much more difficult for the Democrats to turn women against Republican presidential candidates like before. Try as they did, they couldn’t pull it off anymore, and this helped Trump come out ahead. The party relied on abortion for so long that they don’t know what to do now that it’s no longer relevant at the presidential level.

    10. Walz Was One Of The Worst VP Picks Imaginable

Kamala might have had a chance if she picked Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro as her running mate instead of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, but the former is Jewish and has ties to the IDF, so she feared that she’d lose the Midwest’s Muslim vote if she chose him. That was a mistake since Walz was one of the worst VP picks imaginable and JD Vance made mincemeat out of him during their debate. Most Americans didn’t want Walz one heartbeat away from the presidency after that.

Trump’s political comeback story is one for the history books after the seemingly insurmountable odds that he overcame.

A mix of masterful campaigning, Musk’s purchase of Twitter, and arguably a stroke of divine providence over the summer came together to make this possible.

America is now truly unburdened by what has been after decisively rejecting the past four years in full defiance of the Democrats.

It’s now up to Trump to deliver on his ultimate promise to “Make America Great Again”.

I think what is most important now is that people don't let their expectations become too unrealistic, and then become disheartened .
Though Trump has no doubt learned a lot since his last term in office and has a better chance now to make improvements, the Deep State itself hasn't been defeated and the demoralized "Woke" are still likely to be as crazed as ever, if not more so.
An election win is not going to stop TPTB from continuing to further their globalist agendas as much as they can, and if they are more desperate, their attacks may become even more concerted.
Trump is not a young man and we should be praying that he will not be finished off by assassins or the stress of being POTUS in such critical times.
Just having him in the White House instead of Kamala will be be a huge boost to the morale of awake people, but he's not there yet , and the win was just the beginning of the struggles yet to come...

Onawah/ I think JD Vance is a fantastic VP choice and person. I watched the Joe Rogan interview with him and he is balanced, educated ,informed, has served in the military and quite a background story .And is a young man as well
Good future ahead if all holds together. Im optimistic!!

    I say the corrupt media.

    It's a fraught issue, painterdoug.
It takes hours and months and years to educate oneself (with discernment, via other media sources). It is an ongoing process. The system is designed for confusion and cognitive dissonance to occur. The make-believe-lies, like, The Truman Show or The Wizard of Oz-- hence the sound bites and repetition on CNN and MSN and all the others big ka ching channels that include Hollywood..."beyond Fake News" (as described by the President).

People can sense, on some deeper level, that what they hear is not true, but they are tired from a day's work and would rather go to the gym than invest in the time it takes to fact check; to source truth and to ask questions or doubt a screen that hangs on a wall or a screaming or crying celebrity (seriously, J-LO?). Fair enough. There are so many hours in a day. I think Trump will revolutionize America. He has had years to prepare and now can implement his visionary strategy. He will be a good leader, a great leader, because he is not a politician. He does not need the money, that is for sure...

As an answer to your query:
My daughter was telling me about my granddaughter's interest in the biological cell.
I called up the file in my mind, and began recounting interesting tidbits about cell biology, which is a fascinating topic filled with amazingly mind-boggling intricacies.
My daughter was impressed, and I was surprised she had no clue about cells.
I can do that with almost any topic anyone cares to bring up for conversation.
The thing is, I am not trying to impress anyone, I just want to understand this reality.
That takes non-stop learning, and an unquenchable curiosity.

    I have never stopped learning.
Unlike most who stopped learning the moment they got their degree in their twenties.

Nothing can stop a person from learning except themselves.
A corrupt media actually makes it far easier to see through the lies, provided you have a sound foundation of fundamental knowledge developed over the years that does not look to an authority figure to collaborate what you already know.

What is a problem, though, is that not-knowing and being ignorant has always been in fashion.
    It's cool to be dumb.

I can almost guarantee that no matter who you voted for you will find this video offensive, not just the language but the content. He has consumed a fair amount of the 'I hate Trump Kool-Aid' but the effects seem to be wearing off. The woke mind is waking up and reality is crashing through the door.

Ooops! I just noticed it says on the Associated Press live coverage youtube video that she won't be making the address until 4pm, and I'm assuming that's California time, PST. That video went live 23 minutes ago.

update: Nope, she's at Howard U. according to CNN, and that's in D.C. so EST.
The Washington Post's live youtube video is saying the speech will be at 3:30 EST, not at 4.

My own answer (to a good question!):

It's not about who he is, but about who and what he's NOT.

The jury is out, of course, about whether he really will properly seal the US border and deal effectively with millions of dangerous migrants. And what his stance will be about Israel, Palestine and Iran, not to mention China. Those are critically important questions, and good answers will either be there or they won't.

In the meantime, I'm encouraged by who's on his team: Vance, Vivek, Tulsi, RFK Jr, Musk (very much so, now), and one has to assume that many others (like Tucker and even Rogan) are offering excellent advice. I'm hopeful that his apparent stance on Israel may change because of exactly that. That's a big one for me, and I suspect for most readers and members here also.

And he won't be able to revive the US economy overnight. That'll take a full decade, if it's even possible at all. He may well open up oil drilling again, but that's a long-term, big-investment program and even if new drilling projects were to start tomorrow there'd be no usable new oil on the market for 5 or 6 years. The US is NOT in good shape at the moment, and there are very few quick-fixes available.

I'm seeing the leftist MSM and several pundits etc. backing down and lower their rhetoric about Trump winning this election. Of course they are still being ridiculous and untruthful about several things but many are backing way off with their hate speech, name calling, and lies etc.

Liz Cheney is actually calling for democrats/people to accept the results and refrain from violence and be the guardrails of democracy for the next 4 years.

This is weird. I've surfed several far left anti Trump channels and sites and they all seem to be repeating the same thing and are basically admitting to their mistakes they made with the American voters this election.

IMO opinion this is really strange and somewhat concerning, it's like they flicked a switch and have been ordered by someone to "stand down" to a large degree.
