    This kind of reminds me of the stories some libs were telling of conservatives chugging bleach to combat COVID, except here we have a video of one person actually drinking canola oil (which is quite high in pesticides too.)

    Similarly, actor, Rachel Zegler.
    There is backlash after her public vitriolic emoting (after Trump's victory)
    There are consequences as she may lose her role in, Snow White. Oh no!
    'Snow White' star Rachel Zegler apologizes after anti-Trump post

    I've been following this for quite some time. For those not aware, Rachel Zegler has been trashing the original Snow White and has been picking fights on the internet since day one. She's a young, pretty, millionaire who gets to play a princess in a Disney movie. She has everything she could ask for and yet she whines and complains everywhere she goes. She should try saying something nice every once in a while but she prefers to talk ****. Anyway she's been so annoying some say she's single-handedly tanking the movie. The best example can be seen in the Snow White trailer on Disney's official youtube channel:

    The video has 1.34 million dislikes to 94k likes. Yikes!

    The movie is doomed with or without her. Go woke or go broke is a very real thing, just ask Bud Light. Beer sells itself and they managed to **** that up.

    People buy what they want and Disney's marketing to a tiny niche along with the delusional idea that they're going to change traditional people at the same time. They're trying to make a buck by shoving a lifestyle down people's throat instead of simply offering a product that they want. And while they're at it they're talking down to people. Disney doesn't seem to understand they are supposed to supply raw entertainment. Just make your princess movie or animated creatures running through the forest and stay out of politics.

    If you must go for the 'go woke' marketing strategy, don't have some spoiled brat as the face of your product. It's a real turn off.

    Glenn Greenwald, who usually is not one to gloat, can not help but laugh at Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, who are forced to humiliate themselves by going to Mar-A-Lago and have a civil conversation with the man they have called "Hitler" for the last 8 years. The spineless and amoral duo who are vastly overpaid for a show that almost no one watches, despite Joe Biden endorsing it and making frequent appearances on it, are so desperate to stay relevant, that they had to go to Florida and kiss Hitler's, oops, I mean Trump's, feet. Greenwald distinguishes between MSNBC hosts like Rachel Maddow, who is probably sincere in her paranoia that Trump is coming for her in the middle of the night to put her in a concentration camp, and people like Scarborough and Brzezinski who know better but will say just about anything to get their paycheck.

    Woke is definitely going out of fashion in the US, a definite outcome of Trump's election:

    Walmart rolls back DEI policies, becoming latest US firm to join growing trend

    Quote FIRST ON FOX: Walmart is making a slate of changes to its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies, becoming the latest in a growing list of major corporations to halt the so-called "woke" initiatives.

    Anti-woke activist and filmmaker Robby Starbuck, who has been leading a campaign exposing major corporations' woke policies, said on X on Monday that he warned Walmart executives last week that he would be doing a story on "wokeness" at the retail giant.

    "Instead," Starbuck shared, "we had productive conversations to find solutions."
    And Elon Musk comment on X:

    Default Re: Trump's election: the woke reaction

    I read this article on ZeroHedge earlier today and it's been staying with me. I wanted to share this and get other people's thoughts, but I wasn't sure where it fit in the forum.

    The Libs Are Not Alright, Dante Moretti via American Mind.org,

    The tone of this article is different than the tone of most of the posts in this thread, and I'm not sure how I feel about the labels of "woke" and "liberal". But the behaviors described in the article fit what is seen in the thread. People are genuinely struggling.

    At first, as I watched these sorts of reactions, I felt angry with the media that pushed the fear-mongering of Trump and lied about what was really going on in the Harris polls. The cognitive disconnect from what many of these people were inculcated to believe versus what reality actually is just led to some painful cognitive breakdowns.

    I still feel there must be some sort of accountability in the media for their role in this. No easy answer there though.

    Dante describes this from the perspective of being a practicing therapist:

    Quote I speak from some experience, having spent multiple hours per day over the past few weeks hearing from clients about the damage inflicted upon their psyches “by the Trump win.” This is their account of things. My own opinion, however, is that someone has subjected these kids to psychic trauma. But it wasn’t Donald Trump.
    The article tagline is one point that I keep revisiting in my mind.

    Quote Political fearmongering has real psychological consequences…
    I think this applies across a wide spectrum of topics and culture, in addition to the political arena.

    And this, it's thought-provoking to just sit and weigh in on it inwardly..

    Quote One truism I’ve observed in my practice is: “you love what you pay attention to.”
    A person could unpack a ton of insights and triggers to changed behavior just from that one statement. It invites me to pay attention to what I pay attention to, and then to recognize that investment of attention has a felt effect similar to love.

    But the article is addressing the authors observations with clients struggling to cope with an election outcome.

    Dante continued,

    Quote I am not saying that my clients spend $180 to talk about the election because they don’t care about their addiction, spouses, etc. But I am saying that they are choosing to prioritize, and therefore nourish, their hatred for Trump. This of course increases their distress, which increases their hatred. This is not a vicious cycle they all just stumbled into by unfortunate happenstance. They were taught incessantly—by friends, by online forums, by figures they trust in the media—that Trump trumps all.
    Trump may or may not be "the answer" to cleaning up the mess of our government, but for many media outlets, anything "Trump", positive or negative, has been the answer to their attention deficit and bottom profit line. Many media businesses have made a lot of money just by invoking his name in headlines.

    That said, however, Dante's point is that this media frenzy has had real-life, real world, psychological consequences for real live human beings.

    Quote The tragic element in all these cases is that these fragile individuals have been violently interrupted in their healing progress by a completely imaginary evil, projected in Hitler-moustachioed IMAX across the pages of The New Republic, blared from the anchor’s desk on CNN, and generally beaten into the heads of everyone in their immediate circle of trust.
    Dante goes on to describe about internal and external locus of control and offers a simple, solid description of good mental health. Common sense in a media culture that seems to have gone off the rails of common sense.

    Just very curious about what others think about the points of this article.

    And can anyone see how this information may help them help some of the people genuinely struggling with the election outcome?

    ~~~
    I've been thinking about this for a while, as well. I stopped laughing at the reactions soon after they started to be widely ridiculed, leaving me just with: "How and why is all this happening??"
    My best provisional answer lies in my intro to this thread, some of the replies on which veered off course a little quite soon after I tried to explain (maybe not very well!) what I quite strongly felt was going on, a mechanism that was totally unknown but which one late evening back in 2008 I'd happened to experience very directly and vividly.
    If there was such a 'blanket mind control field' in operation regarding Trump, 'new liberal values' (including everything that's been dubbed 'woke', and also incorporating an absolute promise of how the future will be, then once that 'promise' was broken what ensues is a literally a fracturing of the mind.
    Thanks for responding Bill, I remember that interview with Jake Simpson, and what he described is something I can relate to.
    It seems here that you are considering this from the perspective of a larger, collective mind, rather than from many individual minds. A fracturing of the mind feels a bit more severe than a cognitive disconnect.
    If this is a symptom of a broader, larger mind phenomena, then it could also be somewhat like what Joseph Chilton Pearce described as a "crack in the cosmic egg"? An opportunity within an apparent crisis?
    I'll reread the Jake Simpson interview and sleep on this, see what comes up in the morning.
    Regarding 'a fracturing of the mind' (the first phrase that came to me when replying!), remember that Mark Halperin quite seriously predicted the following at the close of his 15 October interview with Tucker Carlson: (posted here)
    Trump Derangement Syndrome will be the Biggest Mental Health Crisis in American History.
