I think this biggest picture level, wide-ranging, extremely intelligent discussion — between Chris Martenson and Dr Dave Collum — belongs here. I'd never heard of Dave Collum before, but I was impressed. This is a marvelous, stimulating conversation of the very highest quality. No stone is left unturned.

    The video text:
Chris sits down once again with long time friend and colleague Dr. Dave Collum.
Known for his outspoken distrust in big government and business, the Cornell professor of Chemistry approaches and views today’s biggest issues through his lens as a scientist and teacher, deeply steeped in Ivy League Academia.
His hilarious stories and insights across a broad range of topics never shy away from the controversial, while he tackles some of our biggest social problems with his unique sense humor and irreverence.

The Alien Presence: Four Interpretations (1:10:00)
Surprisingly there is a lot of agreement on the fact that aliens are here and are abducting people. At least among abduction researchers. However, what they don't agree on is how to interpret this.

Richard will be appearing in a forthcoming documentary: Extraordinary: The Revelations, which is available on Nov. 30, 2021. Learn more here.

Bumping this thread with a very interesting new video from Chris Martenson. He comments on the alarming revelation told to Joe Rogan by Silicon Valley entrepreneur Mark Andreessen, which was reported on the forum here:

If crypto works like the Web, then China might choose one way, as they have with WeChat, while America might choose the other way, as they have with the varied social media and alternative news sites (Project Avalon being a modest example) that led to the more informed populist movement that just re-elected Trump.

On the monetary/crypto front, we in the U.S. have a choice, whether:
    1. a central bank digital currency (CBDC) which enables the Federal Reserve to centrally surveil and control all movement of US dollar money, from a child's allowance on up, or
    2. connecting America's wide array of local, regional and national banks up to a robustly reliable and independent network of crypto currencies and exchanges, while they continue to pursue the wide variety of available individual, corporate and government "customers" for their services.
It turns out that the U.S. just made that choice, when a significant portion of the money of formerly Democrat Silicon Valley tech investors decided to support Trump's Presidential campaign.

Zerohedge documents the moment when this decision was made by one major investor who had historically voted Democrat reliably. This happened as the result of a face-to-face meeting in which Biden administration officials explained how they planned to control AI through government regulatory capture—a strategy reminiscent of Communist policies in China.

Recall that California has been the leading high technology state for the last half century, and has been brought under Chinese influence more than perhaps any other state in the U.S.

Biden administration officials planned to control AI through government regulatory capture—a strategy reminiscent of Communist policies in China.

This is directly what's reported in the Zerohedge article Marc Andreessen Describes "Alarming" Meeting With Biden Admin That Prompted His Trump Endorsement:

=== Begin quoting from Zerohedge ===
Marc Andreessen, the billionaire investor and co-founder of the influential Silicon Valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, revealed in a new episode of Joe Rogan's podcast that after an "alarming" meeting with Biden administration officials earlier this year was the moment he would have no other choice but to support Donald Trump.

For decades, Andreessen has supported Democrats, including Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton. However, a troubling spring meeting with Biden administration officials caused major concerns. During the meeting, officials explained their plan to control AI through government regulatory capture—a strategy reminiscent of Communist policies in China.

"We had meetings [Biden officials] this spring that were the most alarming meetings I've ever been in. Where they were taking us through their plans, and it was - basically just full government - full government control - like this sort of thing, there will be a small number of large companies that will be completely regulated and controlled by the government, they told us. They said don't even start startups - there's just no way that they can succeed - there's no way that we're going to permit that to happen."

In mid-July, Axios reported that Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz had donated to President-elect Trump's campaign. At the time, their support was attributed to Trump's pro stance on crypto and AI regulation. It's another telling example of just how far-left Democrats in the White House spooked Silicon Valley heavy hitters, such as Elon Musk.

[In a podcast, Joe Rogan] asked Andreessen: "When you leave a meeting like that, what do you do?"

Andreessen responded: "You endorse Donald Trump."

X user Ben Averbook condensed Rogan's three-hour podcast into a series of the most important highlights:
    • Biden's administration laid it all out:
    • Only 2-3 AI companies would be allowed to exist.
    • Complete control over development.
Andreessen told Rogan about the federal government's rogue "Operation Choke Point." He described it as a move by the Department of Justice that initially targeted marijuana businesses and gun manufacturers. He said under Biden, it was then weaponized to destroy political opponents, tech founders, and the crypto community.

    [Ben Averbook continued:]
    • They’ve uncovered a new way to destroy companies:
    • 30 tech founders were secretly debanked.
    • No warning. No explanation. No appeals.
    • Pure, silent government power.
=== End quoting from Zerohedge ===

Marc Andreessen made his choice that day, regarding AI in this case, though I figure this applies to crypto as well. Andreessen chose American style capitalism, with multiple companies, large and small, startup and established, competing in the market place, over Chinese style centralized control.

At least for someone such as myself, who spent nearly thirty years working in high tech Silicon Valley companies, the immediacy of this decision point that Marc realized could not be more stark.

In 2008, I realized that Silicon Valley (California) no longer fit me, and I moved to Texas. Elon Musk moved his Tesla headquarters from Silicon Valley to Texas in late 2021, for reasons similar to mine, though his reasons were on a much larger scale.

Martenson connects that with the sudden strong push for huge new AI data centers consuming qigawatts of power, climate change be damned. He argues convincingly that while we're not out of the woods yet — not at all! — we may have dodged a huge bullet when the small (but intentionally fatal) bullet missed Donald Trump's head back in July.

Trump's Election May Have Averted The Worst Possible Outcome

I've long found useful an analogy between how humanity has domesticated animals, turning herds of wild steer into bucolic cloven factories for converting bulk grains to bulk milk.

I've long dismissed AI. I've been tracking it since around 1980, and it's never shown any possibility of the complex, creative, multi-layered thinking and intuiting capabilities of humans.

But noticing now the connections and concerns that Dolan, Martenson, Andreeson, and (for years now) Patrick Wood (author of Technocracy Rising) have been raising, I realize that I need to extend my "domesticated cow" metaphor, and I need to reconsider the threat presented by AI.

Before humanity domesticated herds of animals, we first learned to cultivate the land. We reduced the "wild complexity" growing on natural land, to focus on specific useful plants in bulk. Then one use for our field crops was feeding herds of domesticated animals, once again reducing the "wild complexity" for specific products

Now our evil overlords are drooling over AI, for it seems to them to have the potential to "domesticate" the human mind, reducing the bulk of humanity to compliant workers, wherever we're still cheaper or more succulent than robots.

In each of these cases, plants, animals and human workers, it DOES NOT MATTER that the "new improved compliant" inbred result is better, stronger, or smarter than its wild ancestor. Quite the contrary actually. Cultivated crops, domesticated animals and increasingly now compliant humans are dumber, weaker, and less dangerous ... all as intended.

Their goal of "AGI" (Artificial General Intelligence) doesn't have to reach the intelligence of such geniuses as John Goethe, Leonardo da Vinci, James Maxwell, Nicolaus Copernicus, Carl Gauss, or Nikola Tesla. Rather, using such tools as toxic food, water, air, meds, education, news/propaganda, entertainment, and psychological mind control, which AI can assist in producing in greater quantity and effectiveness, our evil overlords need only get AI smart enough to mind control most dumbed down workers, in any subject of import, outside of their little assigned bailiwick. The "wild hairs" who insist on continuing to think, speak and operate "outside of their assigned box" can be cut down, like weeds or unruly animals.

For these purposes, AI must seem to our evil wannabe overlords like the holy grail ... finally a tool that can tame and control the minds of most humans, those of us whom they would enslave. Finally, as Patrick Wood has been warning us, technology (AI) is adequate, in the view of our wannabe overlords, to tame our long unruly minds and spirit.

(And yes, viruses are real. That's how come billions of dollars are spent on biowarfare research in a number of countries. Virus-deniers may need to do a little more reading.)
We humans are certainly the target audience for a whole lot of expensive bio-warfare. Of that I've no doubt.

But if asked to wager whether or not we're being told anything like the truth as to what these "virus weapons" are or how best to protect ourselves from them ... I'd have to wager that we're being lied to, big time. For that's how they operate.

    In other words:
    Code:
AI Tech is to solving intellectual problems

                         AS

The vaxxx is to solving health problems
We should welcome each as weeds would welcome Round-Up ... with one difference:

I know of no good use for the vaxxx.

AI Tech is more like a sword ... a tool that can be used in a variety of ways and for a variety of purposes.

I've little doubt but that Nvidia's massive influx of revenue for their AI products mostly comes from dark side projects, just as does most of Pfizer's pharmaceutical revenue.

But I might still ask ChatGPT a question, or read a medical research paper.

It's been over a half century since I had any vaccine.
