MOSCOW, December 9. /TASS/. Russian forces struck Ukraine’s railway sites used for the delivery of Western military hardware to the Ukrainian army, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Monday.
"Operational/tactical aircraft, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groups of forces struck infrastructure of military airfields, railway sites used for the delivery of Western equipment to the Ukrainian armed forces, assembly and storage facilities of unmanned aerial vehicles, a fuel depot and amassed enemy manpower and military equipment in 147 areas," the ministry said in a statement.

Russia’s Battlegroup North inflicted roughly 75 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed two enemy howitzers in its area of responsibility in the Kharkov Region over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Kharkov direction, Battlegroup North units inflicted losses on formations of two territorial defense brigades in areas near the settlements of Velikiye Prokhody and Volchansk in the Kharkov Region," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to 75 personnel and two 122mm D-30 howitzers, it specified.

"Battlegroup West units improved their tactical position and inflicted losses on manpower and equipment of a mechanized brigade and an airmobile brigade of the Ukrainian army, three territorial defense brigades and a National Guard brigade near the settlements of Dvurechnaya, Zagryzovo, Zelyony Gai and Kupyansk in the Kharkov Region, Torskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Nadiya in the Lugansk People’s Republic and in the area of the Serebryanka forestry They repelled nine counterattacks by assault units of the Ukrainian army," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to 455 personnel, two pickup trucks, a US-made 155mm M198 howitzer and a US-manufactured 105mm M119 artillery gun, a British-made 155mm FH70 howitzer and a British-made 105mm L119 artillery gun, two 122mm Gvozdika motorized artillery systems and two 122mm D-30 howitzers, it specified.

Russia’s Battlegroup South inflicted roughly 240 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed two enemy ammunition depots in its area of responsibility over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup South units kept moving deep into the enemy’s’ defenses and inflicted casualties on formations of a mechanized brigade, a mountain assault brigade and an air assault brigade of the Ukrainian army near the settlements of Kurakhovo, Verkhnekamenskoye, Novomarkovo, Ostrovskoye, Ulakly and Yantarnoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. They repulsed a counterattack by an enemy assault group," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to 240 personnel, two Kozak armored combat vehicles, a 122mm D-30 howitzer and a US-made 105mm M119 artillery gun, it specified.
In addition, Russian forces destroyed two ammunition depots of the Ukrainian army, it said.

"Battlegroup Center units gained better positions and inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of two mechanized brigades, a motorized infantry brigade, an assault brigade and an assault battalion of the Ukrainian army in areas near the settlements of Dzerzhinsk, Dimitrov, Pushkino, Zhyoltoye and Zarya in the Donetsk People’s Republic. They repelled 10 counterattacks by Ukrainian armed formations," the ministry said.

They repelled two counterattacks by enemy assault groups," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to 150 personnel, an armored personnel carrier, two motor vehicles, a 155mm Bogdana self-propelled artillery system, a British-made 155mm FH70 howitzer and a 152mm D-20 howitzer, it specified.
In addition, Russian forces destroyed an electronic warfare station of the Ukrainian army, it said.

Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr inflicted roughly 55 casualties on Ukrainian troops and destroyed an enemy armored vehicle over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Battlegroup Dnepr units inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of a mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army and two territorial defense brigades in areas near the settlements of Malaya Tokmachka and Novoandreyevka in the Zaporozhye Region, Antonovka and Pridneprovskoye in the Kherson Region and the city of Kherson," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in that frontline area over the past 24 hours amounted to 55 personnel, a Kozak armored combat vehicle and five motor vehicles, it said.
Russian air defenses destroy 36 Ukrainian UAVs, 10 HIMARS rockets over past day
Russian air defense forces shot down 36 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and 10 US-made HIMARS rockets over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Air defense capabilities shot down 10 rockets of the US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and 36 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said.
Overall, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 649 Ukrainian warplanes, 283 helicopters, 37,504 unmanned aerial vehicles, 586 surface-to-air missile systems, 19,713 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,500 multiple rocket launchers, 19,274 field artillery guns and mortars and 29,109 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation, the ministry reported.
