Only 35% knew to vote the government.

    Says it all.
But which 'government'? If one strongly suspects this is a covert operation launched for unknown reasons by the US government or its agencies, consideration needs to be given to reports from the UK, Germany, Australia, NZ, China (over an airport in Tianjin), Russia, India, Brazil, Norway, Belgium and Poland.

One of the great limitations of media of all kinds based in the US or Canada is that they often seem to forget (or ignore) that the very much larger rest of the world exists.
    1. It's not just 'New Jersey'.
    2. (And — these are not quadcopters. )

What is this "rest of the world" you speak of?

That's all true, sadly. I have to remind myself there's other countries out there sometimes.

Makes me wonder why one of those other countries wouldn't shoot one of these things down, China in particular. Surely they're not bogged down by bureaucrats and annoying laws restricting that kind of action like we here in the U.S. are.

That's worrisome. Suggests to mean they're equally helpless.

I keep thinking: what if the US sent an f16 up there to intercept and shoot down one of these things? And what if it failed? What if it was outfoxed and outmaneuvered? Whew, then the panic would really set in among the citizens...

Assuming for a second these are truly UFO's, and assuming the US military knows exactly what it's up against, this explains maybe why it's sitting on its hands and doing nothing. Better perhaps to wait for the flap to end than to reveal how helpless they are (and we are) against these things by sending up our best planes and getting embarrassed.

Courtney Brown over at Farsight.com has a very strong opinion for the "drones" being of ET type:

So - in any case there's some stormy weather ahead ...

I hope we can discern between the good and bad ETs.

shortly after the “orb” or “drone” sightings started i had my own sighting here in peru, we just had my sister in law visiting and in the evening we had a power outage we gathered in the living room by candlelight and suddenly a light like a headlight was visible from the window, my first thought was this is a motorcycle or a car when we looked out the window an orb was visible in the sky casting a light into our room. the light was pulsating in white and orange we were not afraid i felt love.

the object was not far away and was moving along a mountain range above the jungle, i would estimate that it was about 200-300m away. It was as if someone came by to say a quick hello.

I'd also add - historically - Sweden, and Chile; Argentina, Brazil. Amongst other famous hotspots

Not only are they not quadcopters, they are most definitely not bicycles:

“If a man does not keep pace with [fall into line with] his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.” - Thoreau
