Default Craziest Demonic Haunting Case I've Ever Heard

This popped up in my Youtube feed and I'm glad I listened to it. It's an old Art Bell episode, featuring Deborah Moffitt, and she describes a haunting that makes most horror movies seem tame by comparison. But she's remarkably grounded and lovely, and tells the story almost casually, as if describing a trip to the grocery store. An amazing woman really.

It goes like this: Deborah and her husband (along with Deborah's in laws) had several properties, all bordering each other, and very strange things began happening at these properties. One man killed his girlfriend in the property they rented out; another man lived in the rental property and died a month later. And while he was there his creepy son planted a bunch of trees upside down in the back yard. What?

Little trinkets on shelves would rearrange themselves in an instant. Things like this...

But this was all small beer compared to what would happen later. Everything went sideways in a major, major way, and what transpired is the stuff of legend.

This isn't your usual demonic haunting; this is a demonic haunting that involved an ancient deity named "Prince". It was impervious to priests, prayers, shamans, mediums, and even the efforts of Ed and Lorraine Warren.

For years it tormented the family (they all moved into the same home eventually, Deborah and her in laws) in so many diabolical ways that I can't even begin to list them here. But things got even more surreal when the entity began communicating by writing on the bathroom mirror in soap. Deborah has hundreds of pictures of these communications.

In these communications Prince explains that Deborah's mother in law was promised to him in a previous life, and he's come to claim her. And that seems to be the central theme to all of this.

The way it all gets resolved involves a plot twist that I could have never seen coming. But I won't give it away. Check it all out here:

Note: This all begins rather tepidly, as hauntings go. It all feels like a mildly interesting haunting for the first third of the show. But hang in there and you'll hear one of the most profoundly sinister and evil - and just flat out bizarre - stories of all time. The show is also weirdly synchronous due to an eerie event that happens to Art during the broadcast. Weird, weird stuff!
