I almost facepalmed when Village People came on stage, after all the promises to get rid of woke culture and clean up the military. YMCA is (or was) a gay anthem!

The following article at SongFacts would beg to differ with your view that the YMCA is or was a gay anthem (although this view was popular among the gay community back then):

Y.M.C.A. stands for "Young Men's Christian Association," commonly associated with the gyms that often provide temporary housing to men. The Village People sing about the YMCA as a place where you can hang out with all the boys. Many listeners interpreted this as a place to gather in-the-closet young gay men so they can leave their worries and troubles behind and let loose. Even though the lyrics don't contain any specific gay references, the song took hold in the gay community.
In 1977, producers Jacques Morali and Henri Belolo assembled a group designed to attract gay audiences while parodying (some claimed exploiting) that same constituency's stereotypes. Songwriters Phil Hurtt and Peter Whitehead were tapped to compose songs with gay underpinnings. Roles and costumes were carefully selected; among them were a cowboy, biker, soldier, policeman, and construction worker complete with hard hat.

The songwriting credit on "Y.M.C.A" goes to Morali, Belolo and Victor Willis, who was the policeman in the group.

A common misconception was that Village People were an all-gay troupe. Lead singer Victor Willis was not. In fact, from 1978-1982 he was married to Phylicia Ayers-Allen, who played Clair Huxtable on The Cosby Show and later married the sports announcer Ahmad Rashad. Henri Belolo was not gay, but Jacques Morali was, and the image conformed to his vision. The gay stereotype roles played well to the LGBT community associated with disco at the time, but looking back, it's kind of ridiculous to think that discos were "a gay thing" (nobody was having suspicions of, say, John Travolta). The disco scene, and the Village People, were welcoming to all.

It would seem that I was misled by the Songfacts article. I never had gay guys as friends so I don't have actual experience to compare. However Ewan did, so I stand corrected. Thanks for correcting me, Ewan. What a crazy world we live in now.

resident Donald Trump pulled the security clearances of more than 50 national security officials who said Hunter Biden’s laptop had "all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation."

A total of 51 former national security officials released a public letter in 2020 claiming that even though the laptop did not have "any evidence of Russian involvement," it looked like a "Russian information operation."

The letter came after the New York Post reported they had emails showing Hunter Biden coordinated for Joe Biden to meet with a top executive at Ukrainian energy company Burisma months before pressuring Ukrainian officials to oust a prosecutor investigating the company.

Included on the list are former director of National Intelligence James Clapper Jr., former directors of the Central Intelligence Agency Michael Hayden, John Brennan, former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, and former National Security Advisor John Bolton.

Fox News Digital previously reported that federal investigators with the Department of Justice were aware that Hunter Biden’s laptop was not manipulated and contained "reliable evidence."

Republican lawmakers including Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina have previously suggested withdrawing the security clearances of these officials.

There's even another angle that may come up.

I'll need to go back over older listenings to refresh myself but there is a lot of dodgy history to several organisations like the YMCA, Salvation Army and The Red Cross. They were cabal networks involved in all sorts of stuff like espionage and child trafficking. Big name Brits were up to their necks in it too. I should review it all before mentioning names.

The reason that the inauguration has the lowest ratings on Legacy media of any other inauguration is because in 2024 legacy media died.

70 million people watched the inauguration on X. And then it got replayed another 35 million times.

And 5 million on YouTube.

I would like to point to Tulsi Gabbard's Senate Confirmation Hearing in that she repeatedly states that the US Constitution is superior to the FISA courts regarding Article IV of the Bill of Rights. The apparent sticking point is "probable cause".

I therefore want to alert all Americans that "probable cause" is violated daily by the US government. We are constantly surveilled without "probable cause" on a daily basis when we walk into a public place or even when shopping at a supermarket. I described my own experience regarding this outrageous violation of our Rights in my two posts starting here:

My own provisional view on all of this: (For what it may be worth!! )

There are so many rapidly moving parts in the many recent developments, including realignments in big-picture geopolitics (not just those in North America), that I think we may all have to wait a little longer — a few months, possibly — to see how this all plays out.

My own strong attention, really just intuitively, is on the many signs that something very major is afoot in the global financial markets. This may already be agreed internationally behind the scenes, and might affect everyone round the world in ways that are hard to predict. Trump's team is clearly playing a big role in whatever this will be.

There are articles and videos about this posted every day now by experienced and very well-informed financial analysts, and not one of them knows for sure quite what's happening or why. If they don't know, I sure don't. But all my spidey senses tell me that this is important. See this thread:
