oh wow he was still alive, I remember him from Superman movies.

Since I don't know anything about his life, better not to assume anything, except he was 95, due to expire at any moment, so I don't think there is any conspiracy behind it, maybe his death triggered his wife to kill herself, or maybe both killed themselves together and the poor dogs died hungry locked where they were found, already dead for like a week? geez! make sense the dogs died thirsty and hungry.

Once they do the autopsy through tissue samples is possible to detect gas toxins like carbon monoxide, so it is just a matter of time to know, unless the body was in advanced stage of decomposition.

What if he just had a stroke or heart attack and died and she didn't want to be without him and ate a handful of pills and checked out....the dogs were collateral damage.
Tis what i was thinking, Gene collapsed and died of old age, heart attack, or what ever, his wife finds him and tries to resuscitate but could not, then in a state of sudden extreme sadness she ODs on pills, then the dog is like, oh great who the hell is gonna feed me now, and dies of hunger, along with another dog later.

It is weird but i dont go along with the gas leak,... so they had been dead for days, after death there is noone to now turn the gas back off, so who ever found them would have surely smelt the gas, and the gas meter would indicate an unusually large amount of gas passing the meter, think ill just get some popcorn and wait and see what the "experts" come up with.

    RRR
I would think if the dog died of hunger, the other two would have had to be dead for weeks... pretty sure a dog can last quite a while without food.

Gobbling up the pills (maybe in a fit of hunger) however, is another theory.

Just a thought regarding the front door being found opened: dogs are known to be able to open doors.
Generally speaking, atleast in Australia, front doors have the large knob type of handle, not a lever type, (which a dog can pull down) so the dog couldnt have turned a knob with its paws, IMO..................RRR
I don't know about the US, but in Canada it's quite common to have the lever type of handle, AND the door opening to the inside. So that all an animal has to do is push the lever handle down, and they're basically inside the house. I know of some Canadian folks who got surprise visits by bears in their kitchen because of these lever handles.
OMG, i cant imagine finding a freaking Bear in your house, id be getting rid of those lever type door handles thats for sure, i would have problems hiking/camping knowing im in bear country.
We have big crocks, but stay away from the shore and your fine, and you could climb a tree and be safe from a hungry crock, unlike Bears, crocks cant climb trees thank god.
The more people i met, the more i liked my dog.

This could be a case of “misadventure.” Something happened. One, or both, of them respond as best they can. Nothing they do works. Things get worse. Events occur that work against a good outcome. A bad outcome results. Unfortunate and sad. RIP.

    • Death of Gene Hackman and His Wife Called 'Suspicious':

A cloud of suspicion surrounds the deaths of Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman and his wife. The 95-year-old legend and his wife Betsy Arakawa were found dead in their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Initial reports said no foul play was suspected and there was speculation they were killed by carbon monoxide poisoning. Now, their deaths are being called, "Suspicious enough in nature to require a thorough search and investigation." Inside Edition's Jim Moret has more.

    Gene was old, mid ninety's.
He may well have know some dirty little secrets regarding some Elite and hollywood actors and their possible connections to Epstein, and with alot of talk recently about the release of the Epstein files, perhaps he thought that he was near death anyway so why not reveal what he knows about the despicable going ons at the epstein island and the flight logs.

Hey RRRob. Cool to see fresh conspiracy ideas, before they get any debunk attention. They smell nicer at first, and we hope they are real like so many turn out to be.

If I read you right, you surmise that he was offed to prevent his disclosing evidence (possibly including witness testimony). I’d need more data to draw that conclusion.

My take is as was proffered upthread, that he died because old, and she pilled herself due to grief or some kind of fear.

Poor good dog, is my main sentiment. And I hope the other two good dogs didn’t get PTSD out of this.

yeah i was just putting forward that theory along with all the others, but how would it be if the two of them were taken out to stop them revealing something about the elite, and then the killer/s decided to do the dog in and leave door open too, just to confuse investigators, haha just my mind thinkn out loud.

Well, there's also this although I don't know which year this was recorded. I'd recommend that this is listened to as it may well make clear what most likely did happen. Short version of events: they were most likely whacked:

Quite disturbing. I'd never seen that tweet before by Hackman. Is it legit? I find no results on twitter for @realGeneHackman.

If someone had really been out to 'whack' him, why now? That tweet, if it was real, is a year old. Why wait? And why would Hackman sit on his information? If he had the dirt, then surely he would have dished it by now. Or, someone in law enforcement (a white hat you'd hope) would have reached out to learn what he knew, and then put him and his wife under protection. These are high crimes we're talking about, levelled against high ranking people. If it was me, I'd want nothing less than a 24/7 witness protection order. The fact he and wife are dead under suspicious circumstances suggests he didn't have any, and that presents more troubling questions.

Gene Hackman and his wife are murder victims, some scum bags did it and staged it. Stop talking about the films he is in, this is how they get away with murdering famous people! Fake News starts generating film clips. How is it possible I know at least 6 people who have died like Carradine, Hackman, Ledger?

I just picked up a copy of this great Gene Hackman movie maybe three weeks ago and I thought it was a bit odd that there were some parallels that is
    dogs involved, check,
drugs strewn across the floor, check,
both actors seemingly dying in a normal way.

Is this some type of foreboding, or it could be just a coincidence. Not sure on that.

Officials give update on death of Gene Hackman and wife Betsy Arakawa

    Sky News
    8 Mar 2025
Chief medical investigator, doctor Heather Jarrell, gave an update on the results of post-mortem investigations carried out following the deaths of Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa.

Doctor Jarrell said that Hackman's wife, Betsy Arakawa, died from hantavirus pulmonary syndrome. There were no signs of trauma and the death was a result of natural causes, she said.

The doctor said Ms Arakawa likely died on 11 February.

She said Gene Hackman had advanced Alzheimer's and died from heart disease, with data from his pacemaker last registering on 18 February.

It is so very strange... I bumped in the video below... there are more with the same topic... Gene Hackman's property and underground tunnels.. I searched a little and they say... it's fake.. but, we are always a little conspiracy curious.. specially if someone as Gene was neighbour of Epstein... and lately, we know, that some dark energy surround that Zorro Ranch.. I have a filling that under that area Santa Fe, NM are many tunes, from which time, we do not know.. some of them, they say, are from 1000 year back or more..
I do not know what to say about video, but it is interesting anyway...

FBI Discovered A Secret Tunnel Beneath Gene Hackman’s Mansion — They Found Something TERRIFYING

At eleven o'clock in the morning, federal agents cut through the locks of a four-million-dollar estate in New Mexico. They were looking for answers regarding the sudden passing of Gene and Betsy Hackman. Instead, they found an anomaly. Thermal cameras picked up a heat signature coming from under the foundation—a massive void that shouldn't exist. When they finally cracked the seal, the air that rushed out was stale, smelling of rust and old paper. What was waiting in the dark wasn't just a room; it was a time capsule of impossible secrets.
