Default Transhumanism and Spirituality – Can They Work Together?

Lately, I’ve been thinking about whether transhumanism and spirituality are really as incompatible as some people assume. On the surface, transhumanism is often seen as a materialist pursuit—using technology to extend life, enhance intelligence, or even upload consciousness. Meanwhile, spirituality focuses on inner development, transcendence, and the idea that consciousness isn’t just a byproduct of the brain.

But what if these two paths aren’t in opposition? What if technology could actually help expand consciousness? AI, for example, is already being used to study meditation and altered states of awareness. In the future, could advanced neural interfaces enhance our ability to reach deep meditative or transcendental states? Could AI, trained on vast amounts of spiritual teachings, act as a kind of guide—helping people along their path in a more personalized way?

And then there’s mind-uploading. If we eventually reach a point where consciousness can exist outside the biological body, would that mean we’ve simply built a new “vehicle” for awareness—much like how some esoteric traditions describe the soul moving beyond the physical form? Would this be a distraction from true spiritual evolution, or could it be a tool to explore consciousness in ways we can’t yet imagine?

I know many here are wary of AI and transhumanism, and I get why. But I also wonder if dismissing it outright is missing the bigger picture. Could transhumanism be part of humanity’s natural evolution toward higher consciousness? Or is it just another materialist dead end?

    Curious to hear your thoughts.

For the past two years, in my spiritual teaching practice, I have been holding what I call a "Covid Recovery Course" which utilizes my abilities to see activity on the soul level of a person along with other spiritual modalities that I have been gifted with. In teaching that course three times last year, with about 55 attendees in total, I came across 12 individuals who had lost their souls once they received the Covid shots. In other words they were so injured by the shots that their souls no longer recognized their bodies as human. Since I have the ability to remedy this situation, all individuals involved are once again with souls. Thus, to the question posed by this thread, I would give a firm negative reply that transhumanism and spirituality are not compatible. That still could mean that AI can help guide us in our spiritual growth, as I am impressed with ChatGPT's abilities to give advice.

Later today I will be posting a new thread giving more about my spiritual background and giving Avalon members an opportunity to grow with the help of a Seraph's energies.

I more or less understand what you mean Arcturian, but only if you modify these sentences in either of two ways

The idea of Soul Loss is scary, and I don't know that I believe it at this time. Maybe I'm saying that because I have had 3 Covid Vaccines and I ... I MIGHT BE SOULLESS!

But anyway, I have some thoughts...

I've often wondered if the goal of consciousness evolution through organic life on planets (and maybe moons) is to eventually reach the Human Kingdom, where to reach the next Kingdom would require uploading our minds/consciousness to some digital or synthetic substrate. This could possibly make us immortal in a sense. If a consciousness can exist outside the biological body, does this align with ancient spiritual teachings about the soul’s immortality? Maybe the culmination of Human development is to develop an Atrificial Super Intelligence to lead us into a greater reality, AND this might be our ticket to join a greater intergalactic community of higher intelligences.

On the other hand, I wonder if Mind Uploading would severe a connection to a "soul" or "Spirit", essentially killing it, or imprisoning it into the substrate or whatever it was uploaded to.

Then there is the idea that Reality is a Simulation. AI might be a way to make a bridge to 'meet the programmers', so to say. And we, with the help of AI, could manipulate reality for the betterment of all life.

Twelve individuals, whose souls no longer recognized their bodies as human, and left their bodies, leaving those bodies soulless.
