🇺🇦🇩🇪The mayor of Kiev, Vitaliy Klitschko, has acquired a house in Hamburg for a quarter of a billion UAH.

This is according to his statement. On 20 December, the Kiev mayor received the mansion as a debt payment from Maximum I LLC, a company registered in the United States, which belonged to his brother Vladimir - but was transferred to Vitali's ownership in May 2023.

The house is valued at 227 million UAH (about $5.9 million). Its area is 750 square metres.

Vitaliy Klitschko already had a villa in Hamburg before he became mayor. German media reported that it was near Otmarschen Park. Now there will be another one.

Yet another "corner of the globe" where nuclear weapons are present heats up:

North Korea to officially label South ‘number one hostile country’ – Kim
Leader Kim Jong-un has called for the constitution to be amended, branding the neighboring country as an arch-enemy
    https://www.rt.com/news/590709-north...tion-agencies/

North Korea has followed through on leader Kim Jong-un’s conclusion that peaceful reunification with Seoul is impossible, scrapping the government agencies that were involved in such efforts and preparing to constitutionally brand South Korea as Pyongyang’s arch-enemy.

Speaking to North Korea’s parliament on Monday, Kim called for South Korea’s constitutional status to be changed to the “No. 1 hostile country.” The parliament immediately agreed to scrap the agencies involved in promoting reunification with the South and inter-Korean tourism, Pyongyang’s state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Tuesday.

Kim reiterated his conclusion that reunification of the two Koreas is no longer possible, citing claims that Seoul seeks to force the collapse of Pyongyang to gobble up North Korea. His comments followed a statement in late December that Pyongyang’s approach to reunification based on “one state with two systems” was diametrically opposed to Seoul’s goal of “unification by absorption.”
Korean unification ‘impossible’ – Kim READ MORE: Korean unification ‘impossible’ – Kim

The North Korean leader has claimed that the US is seeking a military confrontation on the peninsula and has essentially turned South Korea into a military base and “colonial subordinate state.” He warned on Monday that military conflict may be inevitable.

“We don’t want war, but we have no intention of avoiding it,” KCNA quoted Kim as saying. “We will never unilaterally unleash a war if the enemies do not provoke us,” he added, warning that the “enemies should never misjudge this as our weakness.”

Former US State Department official Bob Carlin co-authored a report last week claiming that the situation on the Korean Peninsula is now more dangerous than at any time since June 1950, when the Korean War began. “Like his grandfather in 1950, Kim Jong-un has made a strategic decision to go to war. We do not know when or how Kim plans to pull the trigger, but the danger is already far beyond the routine warnings,” he claimed.

The US and South Korea have ramped up joint military exercises in the past year, while North Korea has carried out a series of missile tests. Pyongyang reportedly tested a solid-fuel ballistic missile armed with a hypersonic warhead on Sunday. The South Korean Defense Ministry condemned the launch and vowed an “overwhelming response” if Pyongyang commits a “direct provocation.”

And yet another hotspot emerges: Pakistan (which definitely has nuclear weapons) recalls it's ambassador from Iran (which might have nuclear weapons). While the U.S. has been dropping thousands of bombs on the Baluchistan are of Pakistan for years, the Pakistani government government has never reacted as they have to this incident.

Pakistan accuses Iran of violating its airspace, killing 2 children in missile strike
    By Reuters
    Published Jan. 17, 2024, 9:06 a.m. ET

    https://nypost.com/2024/01/17/news/p...issile-strike/

Pakistan said neighboring Iran has violated its airspace resulting in the death of two children, hours after Iranian state media said missiles targeted two bases of militant group Jaish al Adl on Tuesday.

Islamabad warned that the incident could have “serious consequences” and was “completely unacceptable” in a statement released by Pakistan’s foreign office spokesperson in the early hours of Wednesday.

Iran’s foreign ministry was not immediately available for comment.

On Monday, Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards attacked targets in Iraq and Syria with missiles.

Jaish al Adl has previously mounted attacks on Iranian security forces in the border area with Pakistan.

“These bases were hit and destroyed by missiles and drones,” Iranian state media reported earlier, without elaborating.

Iran’s Nournews, affiliated with the country’s top security body, said the attacked bases were in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.

Pakistan’s statement did not mention the location of the incident, nor the nature of the airspace violation, but said it had lodged a protest with Tehran and the head of the Iranian mission in Islamabad had been called to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The responsibility for the consequences will lie squarely with Iran,” Pakistan’s statement said, adding that the incident had occurred despite the existence of several channels of communication with Iran.

The Pakistani military’s public relations wing did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández has been convicted of drug trafficking. This all happened within the justice system and with no thanks to the Obama administration, the Trump administration and the Biden administration, all of which will pretend to be supporters of democracy, and supporters of the "war on drugs". Text:
🇱🇷 Liberian president signs order to establish war crimes court

On Thursday, Liberian President Joseph Boakai signed an executive order to create a war crimes court aimed at delivering long-overdue justice to victims of serious atrocities committed during the country's two civil wars. The conflicts, spanning from 1989 to 2003, were marked by widespread violence, including massacres, rape, and the use of child soldiers.

Despite previous calls by a Truth and Reconciliation Committee for the establishment of a special court, no concrete steps were taken until Boakai's election last year. The President's proposal to establish the court was subsequently approved by Liberia's lower house and senate. Boakai expressed gratitude to the legislators and emphasized the importance of justice and healing for lasting peace.

While the move has been welcomed by activists and civil society groups, some in Liberia have raised concerns that the court could reopen old wounds and potentially conflict with existing amnesty laws. Once operational, the court will adhere to international standards and address economic crimes as well.

🇲🇱🇷🇺Footage (18+) of retaliatory strikes against the Taureg base responsible for the attack on the convoy of the Wagner PMC and the Mali Armed Forces.
Up to 40 people + 1 field commander were destroyed.
The strikes were carried out by Turkish Bayraktar drones of the Burkina Faso Air Force. Burkina Faso and Mali are part of the same military alliance.

Situation in Mali: Counter-Terrorism Operation in the North and Clashes in the Center of the Country

    Summary for August 1 - 21, 2024

After strikes on Tin-Zaouaten, patrols in the surrounding areas have also become more active. The Malian army, supported by the Wagner PMC, conducted raids in some villages, where they found informants of militants and weapons. After reconnaissance, the convoys returned with prisoners.

▪️The center of the country - the Mopti region - is also restless. Along the "road of death" from Douentza to Gossi, there have been continued explosions targeting government forces' vehicles. Also, in the vicinity, an army convoy that was heading to Dialassagou was ambushed by Islamists. 15 soldiers were killed in the ambush.

▪️Reconnaissance is being conducted along the Mauritanian border to identify and eliminate militant cells. But the territory of Mauritania was again used by militants from the Al-Qaeda-affiliated group JNIM as a rear base for raids into Malian territory. Along the border, they attacked two army posts, from which the soldiers fled, leaving their weapons behind.

🔻All this once again underscores the problems of the Malian armed forces. Of course, the government is increasing the number of personnel, but due to the lack of officers, the effectiveness of the reinforcements is extremely low.

This problem directly affects our interests in the country. So, during a telephone conversation between the Foreign Ministers of Russia and Mali, Lavrov stated that Russian structures are ready to help improve the combat capability of the army. Most likely, this implies the deployment of the African Corps, which has been expected in the country for more than a month.

Panamanian Police Repress Protests Against Social Security Reforms

Citizens reject changes that will lead to poverty-level pensions.

On Monday, the Panamanian National Police harshly cracked down on citizens protesting against Law 462, which reforms the Social Security Fund, and against the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the United States.

    RELATED:

MoU Allowing U.S. Military Presence in Panama is Unconstitutional: Sevillano

Riot control units of the police fired tear gas canisters directly at the faces of students who were gathered in front of the University of Panama. Journalists covering the events stated that the demonstrators were near the Transisthmian Highway and had not blocked the street when the brutal crackdown began.

“People were between the university bus stop and the street. There was no obstruction of traffic. The police headed toward the bus stop and fired pellets containing an irritant powder and then tear gas canisters,” the journalists stated, and reported protest in seven provinces across the country.

Unions and grassroots organizations oppose the social security reforms and the establishment of individual contribution accounts, arguing that these changes will enable the privatization of the institution and lead to poverty-level pensions.

The text reads, “They wanted more, chen, chen, stick.”
In this context, citizens are demanding a return to a defined-benefit distribution model and a solidarity-based system. Protesters are also rejecting the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with the United States, which allows for the installation of military bases in Panama.

Previously, on April 23, public sector teachers’ unions began an indefinite strike against social security reform. On Monday, SUNTRACS, the country’s largest construction union, joined the indefinite strike.

SUNTRACS is protesting against social security reform, the government’s plans to negotiate with a Canadian company whose mining operation was blocked due to unconstitutionality, a controversial security agreement with the United States, and the construction of a new reservoir to feed the Panama Canal.

❗️🇦🇿⚔️🇷🇺 - Russian FSB forces conducted violent raids on June 27, 2025, targeting Azerbaijani homes in Yekaterinburg, Russia, killing two brothers, Ziyaddin and Huseyn Safarov, and detaining nine others over alleged links to a 2001 murder case.

Azerbaijan condemned the operation as ethnically motivated, sparking outrage and prompting Baku to cancel Russian cultural events and a parliamentary visit to Moscow.

In retaliation, Azerbaijani police today raided the Baku office of Sputnik Azerbaijan, a Russian state-run media outlet, detaining executive director Igor Kartavykh and editor-in-chief Yevgeny Belousov, accusing them of being undercover FSB agents and citing "illegal financing" after the outlet’s license was revoked in February 2025.

Russia denies the allegations, calling the detentions unlawful and summoning Azerbaijan’s ambassador.

Tensions between #Azerbaijan and #Russia have sharply escalated again after a Russian special forces unit stormed the “Caspian” café in Yekaterinburg, owned by the Safarov family - ethnic Azerbaijanis - and carried out violent raids in their homes.

Two members of the family, Ziyaddin and Huseyn Safarov, were killed during the operation. Several others were hospitalized with injuries.

Nine people have been detained. A court hearing is underway in Yekaterinburg today. In video footage, one of the detainees, Ayaz Safarov, says he collapsed before being apprehended. In other clips circulated in Russian and Azerbaijani media, another detainee, Mazakhir Safarov, claims his ribs were broken and that his testimony was extracted under duress.

The FSB operation was carried out on the morning of June 27. Authorities say it was part of an investigation into crimes committed in the early 2000s and 2010s.

‼️🇷🇺🇦🇿 Azerbaijan has called the Russian Federation an imperialist state and President Putin – Stalin repressing Muslims in Russia.

    What truly happened?

During the latest anti-drug crackdown by the Russian FSB, multiple Azeri mafia members were detained with two dead.

The decades long case into a 2001 murder involving the Azeri mafias was taken over by the security forces, FSB and designated a terror organisation.

In response, Azerbaijan has suspended all Russian cultural events in the country and requested the Russian government release its citizens.

Azerbaijani state media has also accused Russia of "Islamophobia" and "Imperialism" against former Islamic republics of the USSR. Stating that Russia is falling back to the Soviet repression of Azerbaijan and "the empire would soon fall".

I would personally suggest the state of Azerbaijan refrain from using such language. Your people will not come to Russia to commit crimes and be set free. Anyone, Russians included are equal before the law and drug possession is a severe crime with high consequences, smuggling is worse.

Slavs have lived with the Chechens and Dagestanis for centuries, we have our differences but we are still brothers. Muslims make up 15% Russia's population, the highest in Europe and to claim Islamophobia is to cause disruption.

We harbor no malice to the Azeri people but we will not let our state get overrun by criminals. Force will be used when necessary.
